You didn't think the season was going to go that smoothly, did you? We knew who the real contenders were: Philadelphia, Kansas City, Detroit, Buffalo, Baltimore. How does that look now?

The Ravens are 1-4 and might be without Lamar Jackson this week, the Chiefs are 2-3 and look nothing like a contender, and the Eagles just got embarrassed on Thursday Night Football by the Giants, losing their second game in five days. At least the Lions and Bills are holding up their end.

That uncertainty extends to fantasy football, where injuries, surprise performances, and inconsistency have left more questions than answers. Luckily, the experts here at FantasySP are here to help. Morgan Rode and Daniel Hepner answered five questions related to fantasy football in advance of Week 6 of the NFL season.

Who is your favorite streaming quarterback this week?

Morgan: Whoever starts for the Niners against the Buccaneers, so Brock Purdy or Mac Jones. The matchup is stellar, and both quarterbacks should be in for big fantasy showings as a result.

Daniel: It's hard to tell where to draw the line on “streamer” right now. Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye, and Justin Herbert all have fantastic matchups and aren't necessarily weekly starters, but they all rank among the top 10 in QB fantasy points. Let me give you two lesser-hyped guys: Bryce Young plays against Dallas, who has allowed the most yards per pass attempt and most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, and Dillon Gabriel faces Pittsburgh, who has given up the fifth-most yards per attempt and fourth most fantasy points to QBs. They are both low-level streamers but can fill in if you're desperate; Young is the better fantasy player.

Is there a solid running back who has a tough matchup and might be better left on benches?

Morgan: Most are still going to start Derrick Henry, but there's plenty of reason not to. He has struggled this season, isn't likely to have big numbers without Jackson alongside him and has a tough matchup against the Rams. Look elsewhere for RB starters if you can.

Daniel: Henry is also my favorite pick for this question. Just to switch it up, I'll also give you Alvin Kamara against the Patriots. New England has allowed the third-fewest yards per rush attempt and fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. They gave up a combined 17 receptions, 154 yards, and one touchdown to the Dolphins' and Steelers' backs in Weeks 2 and 3, so there is some vulnerability there, though the RBs for the Raiders, Panthers, and Bills did very little in the pass game against the Pats.

How about a wide receiver who is set to disappoint in Week 6?

Morgan: I'll stick with the Ravens and say Zay Flowers struggles without Jackson this week. The matchup against the Rams is fine, but without Jackson, Flowers could really struggle.

Daniel: I'll give you all the Buffalo receivers here. Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir are the guys who are most popular on fantasy teams, though Joshua Palmer and Curtis Samuel also have very light deep-league ownership. Coleman and Shakir are nothing more than WR3/4/flex guys, but they should be left on the bench against Atlanta, who has allowed the second-fewest yards per pass attempt and sixth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers.

Give us a tight end outside the weekly starters with a good matchup who you see finishing among the top 10 at the position.

Morgan: I'll say David Njoku. He got on track a bit in Week 5, and he has a very favorable matchup ahead against the Steelers. I could easily see him inside the top 10 at the position in Week 6.

Daniel: Juwan Johnson had a few good games to start the year but has been quiet the past two weeks. The matchup turns back his way here, as the Saints host the Patriots, who have given up the third-most yards per pass attempt and the seventh-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Johnson has a chance for more volume here, like when he caught 19 passes over the first three games.

Who will be the fantasy MVP of Week 6?

Morgan: I mean, it has to be Puka Nacua, right? He's been an absolute fantasy stud this season and now has a stellar matchup against the Ravens. It's lined up to be a possibly historic fantasy showing for Nacua.

Daniel: Yeah, I'm leaning the same way. Baltimore just gave up 44 points to Houston, so what are the Rams going to do to them? I'll instead pick Matthew Stafford, though, as he ranked as QB6 entering the week despite rushing for a combined negative-four yards. That's exceedingly hard to do in today's NFL that's so heavy on the QB run and shows how good Stafford has been throwing the ball: 300 passing yards per game on 8.2 per attempt, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions.
