J.T. Ginn - Athletics

Ginn has been added in 4.88% of fantasy baseball leagues, and he's rostered in 19.86% overall now.

Ginn will be making a start against the Angels on Monday. That's a pretty favorable matchup on paper, and better yet, Ginn has pitched pretty well this season.

Ginn has appeared in 10 games so far. He sits with a 2-1 record and one blown save over 43 1/3 innings pitched. Ginn has allowed 16 runs (15 earned) on 36 hits and 16 walks, while also striking out 34 batters.

Ginn has allowed two runs (one earned) over his past two starts, which have spanned 14 innings. He has 11 strikeouts over that span, while allowing 13 hits and two walks.

Ginn is on the rise as a fantasy asset, so in a favorable matchup, he's a good streaming option. I like him most in deeper leagues today, but he could at least be considered in standard leagues. I think he's capable of delivering enough fantasy points to justify trying him in standard leagues.

JR Ritchie - Atlanta Braves

Ritchie is sitting at 27% owned as he prepares for a start on Monday.

He will be making a start against the Marlins today. That's another really good matchup to try.

Ritchie has made four starts this season, and he sits with a 1-0 record and 3.32 earned run average so far. He's allowed nine runs (eight earned) over 21 2/3 innings. Ritchie has given up 16 hits and 15 walks, while striking out 17 batters.

He's allowed three or less runs in each outing, but topped out at 5 1/3 innings in his past three appearances. Ritchie needs to work deeper into games to see his fantasy value rise.

So he's just another deep-league asset in my eyes, even though the matchup makes him an option in standard leagues. I'd like to see him succeed more before feeling great about trying him in standard leagues.

Christian Scott - New York Mets

Scott is up 2.44% and is at 21.95% overall now.

He will make a Monday start against the Nationals. Washington is another very favorable matchup on paper.

It will be his fifth start of the season. Scott doesn't have a win or loss across his first four outings, which have spanned 15 2/3 innings. He's allowed seven runs (six earned) on 13 hits and nine walks, while striking out 20 batters.

Scott hasn't pitched more than five innings in any start, so that again makes him a better deep-league asset, even in the good matchup. Consider him in deeper leagues, but you can probably do better again in standard leagues.

Lucas Giolito - San Diego Padres

Giolito has risen 7.32% and he's now owned in 29.27% of leagues overall.

He signed late and made his 2026 season debut with the Padres on Sunday. In a start against the Mariners, Giolito earned a win after working five innings.  

He allowed three runs on just one hit, but he also walked three. Giolito struck out three batters. He needed 78 pitches to get through the outing.

I like his outlook on a good San Diego time. As he gets built up, he could be worth owning/holding in all leagues. For now, add him in some deeper leagues. His next start is likely to come against the Athletics, so he could at least be considered for standard league starts in that one.

Walbert Urena - Los Angeles Angels

Urena sits at 8% rostered as he prepares for his next start on Monday.

He will get the ball against the Athletics, so he's opposing Ginn. The matchup is pretty good for Urena, who has been solid so far this season.

In seven appearances, Urena has covered 27 1/3 innings, allowing 16 runs (10 earned) on 22 hits and 17 walks. He's struck out 26 batters so far and sits with a 1-4 record and a hold.

Urena has been solid since working as a starter, but his ceiling is a bit lower. I again just like Urena in deeper leagues, but the matchup at least makes him a standard league option.
