After already looking at fantasy baseball waiver wire options (hitters based on projections and most-added hitters), it's time to go over some waiver wire pitchers.

Keep checking back all week for more waiver stories!

Check out the top fantasy baseball waiver wire options everyday on FantasySP.

Should You Add Jake Irvin?

Irvin is up 7.21% today and now sits at 41.48% overall.

Irvin is a streaming pitching option on Monday. He'll take on the Rockies, with the game being played at Nationals Park. It's a very favorable matchup on paper.

Irvin is having a solid season, with a 5-3 record and 4.21 earned run average over 83 1/3 innings. He's allowed 39 runs on 79 hits and 25 walks, while striking out 54 batters. Washington is 7-7 in his 14 overall starts.

The Washington right-handed starting pitcher has not faced Miami yet this season. The matchup is what fantasy owners are after today.

Normally, I'd be all for adding Irvin, but based on what he's done of late, I'm not as high on him. He's allowed 13 runs over his past three starts, which have covered 15 innings. Irvin has faced the Diamondbacks, Cubs and Mets in that stretch, so today is a nice break.

I'm a fan of starting Irvin in any fantasy league today, but wouldn't call him a must-start pitcher based on how he's pitched of late. I could see Irvin putting up a huge fantasy score tonight, or being just so-so and being an average fantasy pitcher, or worse.

That's why I'm not calling him a must-add pitcher, but there's still enough upside here to try him out in any leagues if you have a need.

Should You Add Mick Abel?

Abel is another streaming option on Monday. He gets a favorable matchup against the Marlins in Miami.

Abel is up 5.2% and is now rostered in 58.29% of leagues.

Abel got his MLB career started with six scoreless innings against the Pirates on May 18 - he struck out nine in that contest.

Abel struck out just two in his next outing, but allowed just one run over 5 1/3 innings against the Blue Jays. He was tagged for three runs on six hits and three walks over just four innings against the Cubs in his last start - he struck out three batters.

Abel has taken advantage of his favorable matchups so far, so that's why he's a good streaming option on Monday. His strikeouts have dropped over his past two starts, but he's got a great chance to rack up some Ks tonight. More importantly, he shouldn't allow many runs or have many baserunners reach against him, which could lead to a six-plus inning start.

I'm all for starting Abel in deeper leagues today and think he's a must-start guy in those leagues. He's a good standard league option as well, but is not a must-start pitcher.

He's got a tougher matchup after this against the Mets most likely, so utilize Abel in your league while the matchup is right today.

Should You Add Clarke Schmidt?

Schmidt is up 6.95% and is now rostered in 70.33% of leagues overall.

He'll start on Monday against the Angels, which is another favorable matchup. That makes Schmidt another good streaming option tonight.

Schmidt has made 10 starts this season, with the Yankees going 6-4 in those contests. He's 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA over 55 innings. Schmidt has allowed 22 runs on 44 hits and 24 walks, while striking out 57 batters.

He hasn't allowed over three runs in a start since his second appearance of the season. Schmidt has seven or more strikeouts in three of his past four matchups. He's topped out at six innings, but has reached that point five times now.

Schmidt faced the Angels on May 28, working six scoreless innings. He allowed four hits and one walk, while striking out four batters.

Schmidt is a great deep-league option for tonight and is a must-start guy in those leagues. He's also the most reliable streaming option in standard leagues amongst the guys we've discussed today. Schmidt is owned in that many leagues already for a reason.

The matchup is right, Schmidt has pitched well of late and he's also got a great start against this opponent already. Things are lining up for Schmidt to deliver a monster fantasy outing tonight, and I'd be all for starting him.

Should You Add Quinn Priester?

Priester started on Sunday, so he's being added for more good results on the hill. He's up 9.63% and now is owned in 53.17% of leagues.

He worked six innings against the Cardinals on Sunday, earning the win after allowing a run. Priester gave up four hits and no walks, while striking out three batters. He maybe could have worked another inning, as he left at 88 pitches.

Priester is on a roll of late, allowing just one run in each of his three June starts. Since he allowed seven runs in his first start in May, Priester is 4-2 with a 2.23 ERA over 44 1/3 innings in eight appearances since. He has 29 strikeouts over that span, while allowing 13 runs (11 earned) on 33 hits and 10 walks.

Priester is on the rise for his strong pitching of late, and some favorable matchups coming have the hurler trending up as a fantasy asset as well.

He's got probable starts against the Twins and Rockies coming up. Minnesota is more of an average matchup, but with his results of late, he's a great deep-league option and pretty strong standard leaguer as well. If that start goes well, Priester should probably be started in just about every league for that potential matchup against the Rockies.

The Brewers appear to have unlocked Priester's potential, so he's on the rise as a fantasy asset in all leagues. Don't sleep on the Milwaukee pitcher for much longer, because he's starting to get noticed now.

Should You Add Grant Holmes?

Holmes also started on Sunday, so he's moving up as well. He got added in 8.93% of leagues and is up to 63.71% overall now.

Holmes faced the Rockies and ended up taking the loss, but he pitched pretty well and was a major fantasy asset with 15 punchouts in the contest. He worked 6 1/3 innings, so only four outs didn't come by a strikeout. Holmes allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks and was at 93 pitches when he was removed from the game.

He's now appeared in 15 games this season, making 14 starts. Holmes is 3-6, but he sports a solid 3.97 ERA. Holmes has covered 79 1/3 innings, allowing 36 runs (35 earned) on 59 hits and 34 walks. He's struck out 92 batters.

His win-loss record is hurt by the Braves' offensive shortcomings. Holmes' ERA is solid, even though his WHIP is so-so. His huge strikeout totals are what makes him a big-time fantasy asset.

Holmes has reached at least six strikeouts in seven of his starts this season. He might walk a few too many batters, but with less hits given up, Holmes is a pretty solid fantasy asset.

Holmes is set up to continue his strong showings in his next outing, as he's lined up to face the Marlins. Hopefully the Braves can give him some more support in that game, but he's a streaming option in all leagues and should really start in all deeper leagues for that one.

A tougher test maybe awaits after that in the Mets, but with how Holmes has looked of late (and if he looks good against Miami), Holmes could be worth some starts against New York too.
