Top Pitchers
Los Angeles Dodgers’ Tyler Glasnow had the best start of the weekend, working eight scoreless innings. Glasnow struck out 10 batters while allowing seven hits and no walks.
Philadelphia Phillies’ Aaron Nola also worked eight innings, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk. He earned the win and struck out seven batters.
Philly’s Zack Wheeler was even better than his teammate, allowing just one hit and two walks over 7 1/3 scoreless innings. Wheeler struck out eight batters and hit one.
Seattle Mariners’ Luis Castillo finally got on track with a seven-inning gem. He allowed just two hits and one walk, while striking out nine batters.
Philadelphia’s Spencer Turnbull was also fantastic, striking out six over seven scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and two walks.
New York Yankees’ Nestor Cortes struck out nine batters over seven scoreless innings, but didn’t earn the win. He allowed six hits and didn’t walk a batter.
Washington Nationals’ Mitchell Parker had eight strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits along the way and picked up the win.
Baltimore Orioles’ Cole Irvin tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings to earn a win. He allowed four hits and two walks, while striking out two batters.
Tampa Bay Rays’ Zach Eflin struck out six batters over six shutout innings, but didn’t get the win. He allowed only three hits and didn’t walk a batter.
Toronto Blue Jays’ Jose Berrios struck out six over six scoreless innings to earn a win. He surrendered five hits and two walks along the way.
Milwaukee Brewers’ Freddy Peralta struck out seven over six scoreless innings, but also didn’t get a win. He allowed four hits and two walks.
Colorado Rockies’ Cal Quantrill tossed six scoreless innings and didn’t earn the win either. He allowed three hits and five walks.
Detroit Tigers’ Casey Mize struck out four batters over six scoreless innings to pick up a win. He surrendered five hits and three walks.
Los Angeles Angels’ Jose Soriano struck out seven batters over six innings and didn’t allow an earned run. Soriano did allow three unearned runs on three hits and three walks.
Boston Red Sox’s Brayan Bello struck out seven over six scoreless innings in a winning effort. He gave up one hit and two walks.
St. Louis Cardinals’ Sonny Gray struck out a league-leading 12 batters over the weekend. Gray allowed two runs on five hits and one walk over 6 1/3 innings.
Detroit’s Jack Flaherty finished with 10 strikeouts, but also allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk over six innings.
Yankees’ Luis Gil finished with nine strikeouts in just 5 2/3 innings of work. He allowed an unearned run on three walks and two hits.
Dodgers’ Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out nine over six innings. He gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk.
Milwaukee’s Colin Rea allowed five hits and three walks, but struck out three to post five shutout innings.
Miami Marlins’ Tanner Scott earned a pair of saves this weekend after working around two hits in two innings of work. Scott struck out two batters and walked none.
Cincinnati Reds’ Alexis Diaz also earned a pair of saves, allowing just one walk over two innings. He also struck out a pair of batters.
Cincinnati’s Fernando Cruz and Lucas Sims each were credited with two holds this weekend. Cruz struck out three over 1 2/3 innings, while Sims had a strikeout in two innings.
Houston Astros’ Bryan Abreu picked up two holds and struck out three batters over two scoreless innings.
Cleveland Guardians' Nick Sandlin had two holds in 1 1/3 innings, while Milwaukee’s Elvis Peguero had two holds in 1 2/3 innings. Each pitcher struck out one batter.
