Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire WR Options: Douglas, Cooper, Bernard, and More
From deep-league sleepers to potential standard league flex options, here are the wide receivers to consider adding ahead of Week 6.
Let's continue looking over Week 6 fantasy football waiver wire options by discussing the wide receiver position!
We already went over several running backs and will have other waiver wire articles published in the next couple of days!
Fantasy football waiver wire data can be found all season on FantasySP! The Fantasy Sports Assistant now can answer questions you have after doing team breakdowns or waiver wire analysis!
DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams - New England Patriots
Douglas was at just 4% rostered heading into Week 5, but posted a big fantasy score and will rise as a fantasy asset before Week 6. Williams was owned in just 1% of leagues, but also delivered a big performance that should help skyrocket his own percentage.
Douglas went for 65 yards and two touchdowns across four catches and five targets. Williams had 91 yards and a score over three receptions and targets.
Several Patriots were involved in a 45-point, 536-yard offensive outburst against the Raiders. Those numbers won't keep up, but it's good to see New England's offense show some life after a slower start to the season.
With A.J. Brown still out with his injury, there's production available for the New England wideouts. Romeo Doubs, Efton Chism III and Hunter Henry are other pass catchers who could factor in too, so it makes it hard to know which Patriots to trust.

They are all pretty solid deep-league options, while being riskier standard league assets. Still, they are options as Brown continues to sit, and other teams reach their bye week, meaning you might have to dig to find startable assets.
Jaylin Noel and Tank Dell - Houston Texans
Noel was owned in only 4% of leagues before he put together a good Week 5 fantasy performance. Dell hasn't played this season, but he's nearing a return. He is at 7% rostered right now.
Noel finished with 41 yards and a touchdown across five catches and targets this week. Dell hasn't played since suffering a gruesome injury in 2024, but has delivered already across his 25 NFL contests played.
Things get complicated after the team acquired Marvin Harrison from the Cardinals in a trade. The Texans also have Nico Collins and Xavier Hutchinson around, which lowers the ceiling for guys like Noel and Dell.
Noel and Dell are still waiver wire possibilities in deeper leagues, but Collins should be the top fantasy asset and starting in standard leagues, and Harrison should function as WR2 when he's up to speed.
Darius Cooper and Dontayvion Wicks - Philadelphia Eagles
Cooper sat at 17% owned before Week 5, and that number should grow after he delivered big. Wicks is at 63% owned, but could rise again after a solid outing this week.
DeVonta Smith was out again, which allowed Cooper and Wicks to shine. Cooper finished with 71 yards across two grabs and three targets, while Wicks had 63 yards over five receptions and eight targets.
Wicks has been the better fantasy asset this season, but was coming off a couple of down performances. He'll rise again after his Week 5 outing, but he remains a better deep-league fantasy asset, but at least has some standard league flex appeal.
Cooper is trending up, especially after Week 5. Four scores on the season is giving him more fantasy appeal overall, but he too is a better deep-league option.
The return of Smith won't help either wideout, so be watching Smith's status. Rookie Makai Lemon hasn't factored in as much as expected, and if he improves moving forward, that could also dampen the outlooks for Cooper and Wicks.
Germie Bernard - Pittsburgh Steelers
Bernard took advantage of some receiver injuries around him to deliver a good fantasy score. He should rise as a fantasy asset as a result. Bernard sat at 3% owned this week.
Michael Pittman missed the game with an injury, then Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek left with injuries, opening the door for Bernard to shine. He went for 80 yards on six receptions and nine targets, while also rushing once for four yards.
Bernard could see an expanded role if some of those injured wideouts miss additional time. Bernard not only is a deep-league fantasy asset in that case, but he could even be tried in standard leagues, especially if the matchups are right.
He'd be one of my top waiver wire targets going into Week 6, especially if you need some short-term WR help.
Kendrick Bourne - Arizona Cardinals
Bourne is at only 5% owned right now. He should rise after the Cardinals traded away Harrison.
Bourne went for 70 yards on five receptions and eight targets in Week 5, so he showed some of his upside already. That was his second-best showing of the year, with only Week 1 being better.
Bourne still has Michael Wilson and Trey McBride to deal with, but I see deep-league fantasy upside with Bourne. He could be a standard league flex option on weeks where bye weeks devastate your other options, but the matchup would have to be really good for me to feel confident in Bourne.
Malik Washington - Miami Dolphins
Washington is rostered in 69% of fantasy leagues right now.
Washington finished with 43 yards across six catches and eight targets on Sunday. He also had an 18-yard rush.
He now has seven touches in three straight games, and at least 61 yards in all those contests. Washington has yet to score this season, but he's proven to be a pretty big part of the team's offense, especially without De'Von Achane now.
Washington is a better deep-league asset, but has flex-level upside, especially in favorable matchups and when bye weeks take out several of your other options. Keep Washington in mind if you need a little production here and there the rest of the season.
