Looking for help at running back? These waiver wire targets could provide depth, flex value or upside as injuries create new opportunities around the NFL.
Let's start taking a look at some Week 6 fantasy football waiver wire options by going over running backs.

MarShawn Lloyd - Green Bay Packers
Lloyd was rostered in 62% of leagues in Week 5, but delivered a big performance that should bump that percentage up a good bit.
He tallied just 10 rushing attempts and gained 31 yards, but he scored twice to finish with a bunch of fantasy points. Lloyd also caught a six-yard pass across two targets.
Lloyd has a chance to keep producing in the Packers' backfield, which has been missing Josh Jacobs all season. He's a better deep-league fantasy asset, but is trending up after his performance in Week 5.
Samaje Perine - Cincinnati Bengals
Perine was only rostered in 8% of fantasy leagues this week. That should drastically change after what he did on the field.

He broke out for 68 rushing yards on 14 carries, which led the team. Perine added two catches across two targets for 10 more yards and a touchdown.
Perine got more rushing attempts than Chase Brown, who has been a top-end fantasy back for a couple years now. Brown struggled on Sunday, and it could mean Perine is more involved going forward.
Again, he's a better deep-league asset, but more strong results could get him added in some standard leagues, so keep tabs on Perine.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt - Washington Commanders
Croskey-Merritt was owned in 83% of leagues, but I still decided to include him in this waiver wire article because he's available to enough of you.
JCM had 82 rushing yards and a touchdown across just 11 carries in the team's tie with the Giants. He wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Croskey-Merritt only has 20 carries over the past two contests, after getting 12-19 between the first three games. His efficiency has been very lackluster, until Week 5, so he's not a must-add guy.
I still think he's on the rise, and could be worth more starts moving forward. I'd bet his own percentage is close to 100 before Week 6 games kick off.
Kimani Vidal - Los Angeles Chargers
Vidal posted a good fantasy score and should get added in a few more leagues before Week 6. He was at just 4% owned this week.
Vidal went for 57 yards and a score over just eight attempts on Sunday. He caught one of his two targets, but went backward a yard.
He has factored in more offensively the past couple weeks, and he's now got some deep-league fantasy upside, at least. He's worth keeping tabs on too in case Omarion Hampton were ever to be out or banged up.
Woody Marks - Houston Texans
Marks was at 65% rostered before Week 5. He posted a good performance, and an injury to David Montgomery makes Marks an even more appealing fantasy waiver wire asset.
Marks finished with 62 rushing yards across 15 attempts, plus had 23 receiving yards over four catches and targets.
It was easily his best outing of the season, and he's another back on the rise of late. He's a safer starting option in deeper leagues, but if Montgomery misses time and the matchups are right, Marks could also have some standard league upside.
Zach Charbonnet - Seattle Seahawks
Charbonnet has yet to play this season, but he's nearing a return and is still available in 15% of leagues, so this could be the last time you have the chance to add him.
He has been a decent fantasy asset over the years while with Seattle, even though he's split the backfield. Charbonnet split things with Kenneth Walker in the past, and now might lead the way, but split things with Emanuel Wilson for the time being.
I definitely would be adding Charbonnet if he was available in my league before Week 6 games start. He's at least worth stashing on your bench for a bit, just in case he erupts and dominates the Seattle backfield.
Jordan Mason - Minnesota Vikings
Mason has been on injured reserve, but could also return in Week 6. He's at 75% rostered at this moment.
Aaron Jones Sr. has delivered big as the team's lead back while Mason has been out, but Mason and Jones usually split the backfield when everyone is healthy, and I'd expect that to continue when Mason returns to the field.
He'll be a better deep-league fantasy asset in a split backfield, but in the right matchups, either Minnesota back could have standard league flex upside.
Rico Dowdle - Pittsburgh Steelers
Dowdle is another injured back who could be returning soon. He's owned in about 75% of leagues right now.
He's played in just two games so far, but has gotten 19 total touches in those outings. Dowdle should continue to factor in when he's active again.
Dowdle has seen Jaylen Warren dominate the backfield in his absence, but like in Minnesota, I expect the Steelers to utilize both backs when they are healthy. That makes each guy a better deep-league option, but they have standard league flex upside as well.
Kendre Miller - New Orleans Saints
Miller ended up leading the Saints' backfield this week. He's at just 19% owned and he could retain value until Travis Etienne is back from his IR stint.
Miller finished with just 10 rushing attempts though. He managed 30 yards and a touchdown against a very good Vikings' defense. Miller wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Alvin Kamara is another option in the New Orleans backfield, and things could be a mess until Etienne is back - things might even be a mess then. Anyways, Miller is worth some more adds just in case he keeps leading the Saints' backfield.
Miller could be worth some deep-league starts moving forward. He would only be a standard league option in a desperate attempt to get a potential starting RB in your lineup, but there's got to be better options on your roster at this point.
Dameon Pierce - Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles' backfield is decimated right now, and Pierce ended up leading the way on Sunday. He's at just 6% owned right now.
Pierce finished with 11 carries and two receptions across five targets on Sunday. He only had 14 rushing yards, while going backward two yards on his catches.
With Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley all banged up though, Pierce is the top Philly RB right now. The status of those three will determine if Pierce is worth adding/starting at all in Week 6, and beyond.
Right now, Pierce is at least worth some deep-league adds. Be watching for news on the other Philly backs to see if Pierce could be worth standard league adds before Week 6 kicks off.
