Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for Week 17: Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence and More
Morgan gives his week 17 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
It's time to wrap up week 17 fantasy football rankings by going over the starting quarterback for every team. Plenty of questions remain for who will start, so I'll do the best I can.
Check out rankings for running backs, wide receivers and tight ends at these links.

1. Drake Maye
I'm giving Maye the top ranking among fantasy quarterbacks going into week 17.
A favorable matchup against the Jets helps his cause. Maye had 281 passing yards, two rushing yards, a touchdown pass and no turnovers in the last matchup against New York, and I expect him to fare better this time around.
2. Jalen Hurts
Hurts has been solid in two straight games, and I like him to deliver again this coming week.
Buffalo is a tough matchup on paper, but I like the dual-threat Hurts to get the job done.
3. Brock Purdy
Purdy was elite on Monday night to help the Niners over the Colts.
An above-average test against the Bears is next, and I expect him to keep rolling in that one.
4. Josh Allen
A foot injury has me a bit skeptical of Allen in week 17.
A tough test against the Eagles makes things a bit more difficult too. He's a must-start fantasy QB, but it could be tough sledding for him this week.
Stafford was great back on Thursday of week 16, but it didn't lead to a Rams' win.
A pretty average test against the Falcons is next, and I think Stafford keeps rolling in that one.
6. Joe Burrow
Burrow was great as well in week 16, and a test against the Cardinals is a chance for him to keep trending up.
Arizona is a pretty average matchup, so Burrow should rack up a bunch of more points this week.
Lawrence has been the top fantasy quarterback over the past two weeks, and he's been a high-end option for several weeks now.
An average test against the Colts is next, so I think Lawrence could deliver yet again. He had 244 passing yards, two scores and no picks in the last meeting, along with 16 rushing yards.
8. Dak Prescott
Prescott has an awesome matchup against the Commanders this week, but something is telling me to temper my expectations with Prescott.
He had 264 yards and three scores in the last battle with Washington, but with nothing to play for, maybe Prescott doesn't fare quite as well this time.
Williams is trending up the past couple weeks, so we'll see if he keeps rolling in week 17.
An above-average test against the Niners is next, so I have Williams in my top 10.
10. Jacoby Brissett
Brissett was finally underwhelming as a fantasy QB in week 16, but I think he bounces back in week 17.
A pretty favorable test against the Bengals gives him a great chance to get back on track.
11. Justin Herbert
Herbert was stellar in week 16, so we'll see if he keeps that level of play up against the Texans in week 17.
It's the toughest fantasy matchup a QB could have, otherwise Herbert would have been in my top 10.
12. Jared Goff
Goff continues to put up fantasy points as the Lions' playoff chances fade.
Minnesota is another brutal fantasy test for a QB, but I'm not doubting Goff and the Lions' offense. Goff had 284 passing yards, two scores and no interceptions in the first matchup between the teams.
13. Jordan Love
Love is in the concussion protocol, but if he plays, I think pretty highly of him.
Baltimore is a slightly above-average test, so he has standard league upside if he's cleared.
14. Sam Darnold
Darnold had a pretty solid outing in week 16, especially if you take away two interceptions.
Carolina is a tougher test for him, but he's still a good deep-league asset with standard league upside.
15. Bo Nix
A couple turnovers hurt Nix's fantasy score last week.
His matchup against the Chiefs is just below average, but not as daunting now that KC is eliminated. Nix had 295 passing yards and eight rushing yards in the first game, but no scores - he didn't turn the ball over either.
16. Tyler Shough
Shough has quietly been a really solid fantasy QB over the past several weeks.
He is a standard league option going into a good matchup against the Titans. I'd still be most comfortable starting him in deeper leagues.
17. Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers has turned back the clock the past three weeks, and he's a decent fantasy asset now.
Cleveland is a tougher test for him in week 17 though. He had 235 passing yards and two touchdowns, while avoiding a turnover in the last clash between the teams.
18. Lamar Jackson
Jackson is dealing with a back injury, so his status needs to be watched.
Green Bay is a tougher matchup, and Jackson has struggled of late, so the 18th spot in the rankings is more than fair still.
19. Jaxson Dart
Dart was terrible last week in a tough matchup.
Vegas is a pretty average test, so I think he could be a top-20 finisher.
20. Baker Mayfield
Mayfield has hit a fantasy wall, so he's tough to trust right now.
It's a shame, because his matchup against Miami this week is pretty favorable.
21. Marcus Mariota
Mariota has right hand and quad injuries, so his status needs to be monitored.
Dallas is the best fantasy matchup a QB could have, so Mariota has deep-league starting upside in that matchup.
22. C.J. Stroud
Stroud regressed last week, and continued his up-and-down play.
The Chargers are a tough test for him in week 17, so I wouldn't be super thrilled to start him, even in deeper leagues.
23. Geno Smith
Smith was pretty solid despite a tough test against Houston last week.
The Giants are a great matchup, so if you want to play matchups in a deeper league, Smith is a pretty good option.
24. Kirk Cousins
Cousins was pretty solid again in week 16, so he has some value for week 17.
The Rams are a tougher matchup though, so Cousins falls to No. 24.
25. Cameron Ward
Ward had one of his better fantasy showings in week 16, and seems to be trending up a bit as the season winds down.
The surging Saints are a bit tougher test for him, so I decided to give him the No. 25 spot.
26. Bryce Young
Young was pretty solid in week 16, but two scores bailed out a so-so showing.
I don't like his tough matchup against Seattle, and think Young struggles as a fantasy QB.
27. Shedeur Sanders
Sanders was below average again in week 16, but at least he reached double digits as a scorer.
The Steelers are a great fantasy matchup for him, but I just don't trust him enough to rank him any higher.
28. Quinn Ewers
Ewers was solid outside two costly interceptions last week.
An elite matchup against the Buccaneers makes Ewers a tempting fantasy option this week, but with just one start under his belt, I cannot rank him any higher.
29. Philip Rivers
Rivers did some solid things on Monday night.
In a slightly above-average test against the Jaguars in week 17, Rivers could put up another surprising score.
30. Max Brosmer
Brosmer will start for the injured J.J. McCarthy on Thursday against Detroit.
It's a pretty favorable fantasy matchup, but I just do not trust Brosmer.
31. Brady Cook
Cook will start again for the Jets in week 17, despite subpar results the past couple weeks.
A pretty average test against the Patriots is next for the rookie, but I don't see him being a good fantasy option.
32. Chris Oladokun
Oladokun is likely to start for KC after Gardner Minshew's injury.
He will face the Broncos, which is a very tough test. I don't see things going well for Oladokun, or the Chiefs' offense, in this one.
Other Notes
If Allen doesn't play, Mitchell Trubisky will start for Buffalo. Trubisky would rank between Smith and Cousins if he ends up starting in week 17.
If Love is out, Malik Willis could start for Green Bay. He's dealing with a shoulder injury of his own - Clayton Tune is the only other QB on the roster (practice squad). Willis would rank between Jackson and Dart if he starts, while Tune would rank between Rivers and Brosmer.
If Jackson is out, it'll be Tyler Huntley starting for the Ravens. Huntley would fall between Rivers and Brosmer as well, but be ahead of Tune.
If Mariota doesn't play, it'll likely be Josh Johnson starting for the Commanders. I'd drop Johnson between Rivers and Brosmer too, slotting in ahead of Huntley and Tune.
