Fantasy Football Tight End Waiver Wire Options for Week 16: Colby Parkinson, Dalton Schultz, Dawson Knox and More
Looking over some fantasy football waiver wire targets at tight end going into week 16.
Let's continue our look at week 16 fantasy football waiver wire options by going over possible tight end pickups.
We already went over quarterbacks, and will cover running backs and wide receivers in other articles. Check back for those, and even more waiver wire content!

Should You Add Kyle Pitts Sr.?
We're going to start with the No. 1 fantasy player from week 15 so far. Pitts erupted for 166 yards on 11 receptions and 12 targets. He scored three touchdowns to deliver a huge fantasy showing.
He's owned in most leagues by now, but deserves mentioning after that performance. Pitts should be near 100% owned before week 16 kicks off.
Even if you have trouble trusting Pitts, his favorable week 16 matchup against the Cardinals should help you have enough confidence to start him in all leagues.
Don't overthink things and be ready to fire up Pitts in week 16 in all leagues. You almost have to after what he did in week 15.
Should You Add Harold Fannin?
Fannin is another fantasy tight end who is owned in most leagues already, but those of you who can add the Cleveland tight end should immediately.
He was targeted a whopping 14 times this week - Fannin had 11 targets in week 14, so he appears to be Shedeur Sanders' top target. Fannin made seven grabs this week for 48 yards, so it was just a so-so fantasy showing, but the usage was off the charts, so I'd be happy to utilize him again in week 16.
Unfortunately, he has a very tough test coming against the Bills, who allow the least amount of fantasy points to tight ends. With how Fannin has been utilized the last two weeks, that should trump a tougher matchup on paper.
Should You Add Colby Parkinson?
Parkinson is the first true waiver wire tight end in this article. He went for 75 yards and two touchdowns on five receptions and seven targets in week 15.
He has scored six touchdowns over his past six games. Sunday was the first time he went over 50 receiving yards in that span, but it's hard to argue with his fantasy results.
Another thing working in his favor is that Davante Adams could miss week 16 against the Seahawks. They play on Thursday, so Adams seems like a longshot to play. Even if Adams is out there, I see Parkinson as a pretty solid deep-league asset.
Parkinson scored and had 14 yards on two receptions and targets in the first game against Seattle. The Seahawks are an above-matchup on paper, which is yet another reason to add and start Parkinson in week 16.
Adams' status will determine how many leagues you start Parkinson in, but I don't think it's crazy to consider him in standard leagues if Adams is eventually ruled out.
Should You Add Dalton Schultz?
Schultz finished with 76 receiving yards and a score on eight receptions and nine targets in week 15. That ended up being his top fantasy showing of the season so far.
Schultz has been up and down of late, but he has scored eight or more fantasy points in eight of his past 12 games, so that's a nice thing to get from a weaker fantasy spot.
He's always at least somewhat involved, and in good matchups, he's a sneaky good fantasy asset.
Unfortunately, week 16 is a tougher matchup for him against the Raiders. I still like the idea of starting Schultz in deeper leagues, and he could end up as a top-10 fantasy TE for me still.
Check back in a couple days for my week 16 fantasy tight end rankings to see where Schultz checks in.
Should You Add Dawson Knox?
Knox is TE2 in Buffalo, but he led the way as a fantasy asset in week 15. Knox caught three of his four targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
TE1 Dalton Kincaid had 34 yards on three grabs and four targets, but without a score, his fantasy score was weak.
Knox has now turned in back-to-back double-digit fantasy outings, and those were each over 15 PPR points. Sure, touchdowns really helped him this week, but it seems like Knox is trending up as the season winds down.
It makes sense, because Buffalo is lacking reliable options at wide receiver. It means Knox and Kincaid can help out here and there.
It'd be better if Knox and Kincaid weren't on the same team, but both have standalone fantasy value right now.
Kincaid is still the better fantasy option, but Knox will be a deep-league option for week 16. His matchup against the Browns is average, so many should be willing to fire Knox up in deeper leagues.
Kincaid will be a solid standard league asset for week 16, but his down showing in week 15 will hold him back from being started in every standard league.
Should You Add Gunnar Helm?
Helm delivered his best fantasy showing of the season on Sunday. He caught a touchdown among his four receptions and targets. Helm finished with 49 receiving yards.
Helm now has three double-digit fantasy outings on the season, and they've all come since week 8, so he's showing some promise later in his rookie year.
He will be put to the test in week 16, as Helm has a very tough fantasy matchup against the Chiefs. Tennessee's offense is looking toward the future, and Kansas City is out of the postseason now, so things are a bit more promising for Helm and his fantasy outlook.
I wouldn't be afraid to try him in some deeper leagues, despite the tougher matchup.
Should You Add Darren Waller, or Another Miami TE?
The Dolphins play on Monday night, and whoever ends up as TE1 could be the one who is added before week 16.
Waller has been the top tight end for most weeks he's been available, but he played less snaps than Greg Dulcich and Julian Hill last week. If either of those two lead the way tonight, they could be the ones added before week 16.
The Dolphins play the Bengals in week 16. If you've been paying attention, you know that's the best possible fantasy test a tight end could face. That puts whoever is TE1 in Miami in a great spot for week 16.
Waller seems like he'd be the only standard league option, but Dulcich was solid last week, so if he breaks out tonight, maybe some would consider him for week 16.
Really though, all of the Miami tight ends are probably going to be better deep-league options, even in the stellar upcoming matchup. Watch tonight's game to see who you like best going into next week.
Should You Add Mark Andrews or Isaiah Likely?
Andrews and Likely had the best fantasy TE matchup against the Bengals in week 15, but neither did much.
Likely played 21 offensive snaps, while Andrews was on the field for just 17. Baltimore had 41 offensive snaps and won a lopsided game.
Likely didn't even earn a target in the super favorable matchup, so he was an absolute bust for the fantasy owners who tried him in week 15. Andrews wasn't much better, tallying 18 receiving yards on two receptions and three targets.
We can go back to the well with both Baltimore tight ends in week 16, as a favorable matchup awaits against the Patriots. After what both TEs did in week 15 though, it'll be tougher to start either guy this coming week.
Andrews is the guy I prefer, but he's not a must-start guy in standard leagues, even in the great matchup. Likely is back down to just being a deep-league asset, and he's a risky option after a dud this past week.
We'll see if either tight end can bounce back in week 16.
