Should You Add Max Christie?

Christie has been added in 12.77% of leagues, bringing his overall mark up to 49.44%.

He is in a nice groove over his past three games, scoring 25, 18 and 24 points. Along with 22.3 points per game in that stretch, Christie is averaging 3.7 rebounds, 3 assists and 0.3 blocks and steals over 31 minutes a night.

On the season, Christie is averaging 12.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks per 28.6 minutes a game. He is shooting 49.3% overall and he's 46.6% from 3-point land.

He has played in 34 games on the season and started 25 of those. He has started four straight games, so his role could be on the rise.

Dallas is playing without Kyrie Irving still, plus Dante Exum, Dereck Lively II and P.J. Washington. The Mavs have been without Irving all season, and he still has no timetable to return. Exum and Lively are out for the season, while Washington is day-to-day with an ankle ailment.

What I'm getting at is that Christie could stick as a good fantasy asset the rest of the season, even when Washington and Irving return to the mix. His fantasy outlook is highest right now though, so now is the time to utilize Christie.

I like him in deeper leagues. I'd love to stream him, but I'd also hang on to him until his production drops off. If he keeps delivering, Christie could work into some standard leagues as a streaming option.

I think he's a better keeper in deeper leagues, but if he finds his stride, he might become a keeper in some standard leagues, so keep tabs on Christie if you don't want to permanently add him now.

Should You Add Jake LaRavia?

LaRavia is owned in 70.6% of leagues after an 11.58% increase today.

He has started three straight games for the Lakers, and delivered big in back-to-back outings. LaRavia has 47 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block over the past two contests.

LaRavia has started 12 of the 33 games he's appeared in this season. He's averaging 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks over 26.1 minutes a night. LaRavia is shooting 46.6% overall and he's 32.7% from deep.

LA is without Austin Reaves for the next couple weeks, which is helping LaRavia take on more of late. He might start until he's back in the mix. It also helps LaRavia's cause that Rui Hachimura is out for the next couple games.

Even if he's coming off the bench in any of the next couple games, there's enough playing time available for him to make a difference as a fantasy asset. With Reaves and Hachimura out, there's a lot of production to be filled, and LaRavia is among the guys putting up more stats as a result.

He's a very good deep-league asset right now, and should be rostered and held in those leagues until Hachimura and maybe Reaves return. LaRavia has standard league streaming upside right now as well, and with the Lakers playing tonight, that's a big reason why LaRavia is being added.

Take advantage of things with LaRavia while his role and usage are up.

Should You Add Micah Potter?

Potter has been added in 7.63% of leagues and is rostered in 18% of leagues overall.

Potter has only played six games this season, but he has made two straight starts for the Pacers. In 27 and 29 minutes over his past two contests, Potter has accumulated 27 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.

He's picking up some slack with Isaiah Jackson out of the picture right now for the Pacers. Once Jackson is back, Potter will lose a lot of his fantasy value, so now is the time to capitalize on his expanded role.

He's just a deep-league fantasy option, and he'll likely top out as a deep-league asset, unless Indiana is hit with several injuries to big men. Add and stream Potter for the next few games, or until his role and usage drops.

Potter is a pretty nice DFS option right now, as he's going to cost a low salary and is capable of putting up some decent results in his starting role.

Should You Add Sam Merrill?

Merrill is owned in 27.78% of leagues after a 6.64% increase.

He has played just 19 games this season, but has appeared in seven of the past eight. In that stretch, Merrill has scored in double figures six times. He has 16 and 15 points over his past two contests, and had a 22-point outing in that stretch.

For the season, Merrill is averaging 13.3 points, 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks over 25.9 minutes a night. He's started 12 of the 19 games he's appeared in and is shooting 46.2% overall and 43.6% from deep.

You can see from those averages that Merrill mainly is a scorer. He doesn't add a ton else on a regular basis, so he's not the best fantasy asset.

He does do enough, and plays enough most nights, to be considered in deeper leagues. Sure, I think there's better fantasy assets out there for deep-league usage, but Merrill is definitely an option whenever the Cavs play.

Cleveland will be without Donovan Mitchell, Larry Nance Jr. and Max Strus for sure on Tuesday, while Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade are both questionable.

Merrill will already take on more with Mitchell out, and if Allen and/or Wade are out too, Merrill could take on a lot more than usual. That's why Merrill is being added in so many leagues today, as he's a good streaming asset.

He's a guy to consider heavily in deeper leagues today, especially if Allen and/or Wade are eventually ruled out. I also like Merrill in DFS contests, as he will cost less but be capable of a bigger fantasy score tonight.

In terms of fantasy though, he looks like a deep-league asset only to me. He'd only be a standard league streamer if he's red hot as a scorer.

Other Waiver Wire Options

Utah's Jusuf Nurkic is up 7.08% today, bringing his overall mark to 84.49%.

San Antonio's Julian Champagnie has been added in 6.02% of leagues, and he's at 41.31% rostered now.

Miami's Pelle Larsson is up 5.83% and sits at 14.44% overall. Indiana's Aaron Nesmith has been added in 5.37% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 67.72%.

New Orleans' Jeremiah Fears, Memphis' Jock Landale, Charlotte's Moussa Diabate and Houston's Steven Adams are all up at least 4% today.

San Antonio's Luke Kornet, Toronto's Sandro Mamukelashvili and Cleveland's Craig Porter Jr. are all up at least 3%.

Memphis' Jaylen Wells, Chicago's Matas Buzelis, Orlando's Wendell Carter Jr., San Antonio's Dylan Harper, Denver's Jalen Pickett, New York's Miles McBride, Cleveland's De'Andre Hunter, Phoenix's Grayson Allen, Boston's Luka Garza and Phoenix's Jordan Goodwin round out the top-25 most-added waiver pickups today, and are all up at least 2.12% so far.
