Should You Add Sandro Mamukelashvili?
Mamukelashvili is up a whopping 16.43% already today. He's now rostered in 49.76% of leagues overall.
Mamukelashvili played nearly 32 minutes off the bench in the team's last game. He was at just 12 minutes in the game before that, and was at 21 and 23 minutes in the two games before that.
He tallied 13 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and a steal in his last game. Mamukelashvili now has scored 13 or more points in five of his past six contests - he didn't score any points in the only game he failed to reach that mark.
Since December 18, Mamukelashvili has been on a different level. He's averaging 12.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks over 26.1 minutes a night. He's shooting 53% overall in that stretch, along with a 40% clip from 3-point land.
Overall this season, he is averaging 10.5 points, 5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks over 21.2 minutes a night in his seven starts and 35 games played. Mamukelashvili is shooting 51.7% overall and is 38.1% from deep.
The big man is taking advantage of Jakob Poeltl being out with an injury. Poeltl is out for Monday's game against the Hawks, so at the very least, Mamukelashvili is a good streaming option for the day.
He's done enough of late to be rostered in most deeper leagues on a permanent basis, or at least until his usage or production drops off consistently. Mamukelashvili is a guy to stream, and that goes for deeper leagues and some standard leagues, until the Raptors are at full health.
Mamukelashvili is another good option in DFS leagues, as he's a fairly low-priced option. Give him a look in those contests, and for fantasy basketball leagues, especially if you need some big man help.
Should You Add Clint Capela?
Capela has a massive 309.91% percent change today. He's up 13.45% and now is rostered in 17.79% of leagues overall.
Capela is another big man on the rise. He logged 26 minutes off the bench in the last Houston game. He missed the game before that, and had topped out at 18 minutes in the previous eight games before that.
Capela had eight points and rebounds, five steals and two blocks and assists in his last outing. He hasn't scored in double figures in any of his 29 games this season. Capela has gone over 10 rebounds three times, while adding in at least one block in 11 contests.
He is averaging 3.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, 0.6 steals and 0.5 assists over his 11.6 minutes a game for the season. Capela is shooting 54.3% overall.
Houston doesn't have a ton of injuries it's dealing with, but two injured players are centers, which helps Capela play more in the meantime. Steven Adams and Alperen Sengun are each dealing with ankle injuries.
Once those two are back in action, Capela's fantasy outlook is going to go down, so now is the time to take advantage of things with him. I only like adding him in deeper leagues, as I don't see Sengun or Adams missing a ton more time.
Capela doesn't do enough, even in his expanded role, to be considered as a standard league fantasy asset - even in a streaming role. There has to be better streaming options at center available.
Give Capela some adds/streams in deeper fantasy basketball leagues for the time being, but be ready to move off him when the Rockets get healthier and Capela's playing time/usage go back down.
Should You Add Paul Reed?
Reed is another big riser. He's been added in 10.64% of leagues and sits at 21.88% overall now.
Reed is yet another big man on the rise because of recent usage and playing time. He logged 30 minutes in a start in his last appearance, tallying eight points and rebounds, four assists and a steal.
He has had sporadic playing time otherwise this season. In December and the first game of January, he did not appear in four of 14 contests. Reed topped out at nine points in those contests and averaged 3.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks over just 6.9 minutes.
For the season, he is averaging 5.6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks over 10.9 minutes a contest in his three starts and 27 games played overall. Reed is shooting 61.3% overall and he's 40% on his 3-point tries.
In his three starts, Reed has delivered good fantasy marks. He's combined for 46 points, 29 rebounds, 13 assists, seven steals and four blocks. Reed has played 25-30 minutes in those games.
Jalen Duren is among the injured Pistons right now, and his absence helps Reed to more playing time. Duren is expected to miss a week, so Reed isn't just a streaming option for a day, which is why he's such a big add today.
Reed is worth deep-league adds and streams until Duren is back. I think he could be worth some standard league streams, but only if you have a roster spot to play with - he's not a must-add streamer by any means.
Take advantage of things while you can with Reed, because when Duren is back, Reed will be sparsely used again. Tobias Harris and Caris LeVert are also out right now for Detroit, which leaves more opportunities for Reed to contribute.
Add and play him in deeper leagues for a little while and enjoy Reed's success. But be watching his game logs, and the team's injury report, and be ready to move off Reed once his starting role and playing time are revoked.
Other Waiver Wire Options
Los Angeles Lakers' Jake LaRavia is up 7.67% so far today and is now rostered in 54.81% of leagues overall.
Los Angeles Clippers' John Collins has been added in 6.01% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 83.13%.
Denver's Christian Braun is up 5.05% today and is now owned in 67.97% of leagues overall. Chicago's Kevin Huerter has been added in 4.9% of leagues, bringing his overall mark up to 36.06%.
Denver's Aaron Gordon and Brooklyn's Day'Ron Sharpe are each up over 4% today. Gordon is owned in 95.19% of leagues, so very few of you could add him today. Sharpe is up to 40.83% owned, so a lot more of you can add him today if you wish to.
Detroit's Isaiah Stewart, Boston's Jordan Walsh and Anfernee Simons, New York's Miles McBride, Golden State's Draymond Green, Houston's Tari Eason and Indiana's Aaron Nesmith are all up at least 3% today.
Indiana's Micah Potter, Portland's Toumani Camara, Golden State's De'Anthony Melton, Orlando's Wendell Carter Jr., Philadelphia's Quentin Grimes, Chicago's Ayo Dosunmu and Matas Buzelis, Cleveland's De'Andre Hunter and Detroit's Ausar Thompson round out the top-25 most-added waiver wire players and are all up at least 2.21% today.
