Legal Uncertainty Meets Premium Workload For Packers Lead Back
Josh Jacobs remains the lead back in Green Bay's offense, positioned ahead of Chris Brooks and rookie MarShawn Lloyd. Despite a late-May arrest and ongoing legal investigation, head coach Matt LaFleur has welcomed Jacobs back to practice in a "business as usual" fashion.
Our models project a highly productive season, forecasting 249 carries for 1,063 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns, plus 35 receptions. This projected workload locks him in as a primary engine of the Packers' ground game.
This legal cloud caused his PPR ADP to slip from the mid-teens back to 24.00, while his start percentage dipped slightly to 84%. At this stabilized late-second-round cost, our projections view him as an outstanding draft-day value if his legal situation remains clear.
