Wild and Flyers Trade

To the Minnesota Wild: Bobby Brink

To the Philadelphia Flyers: David Jiricek

Fantasy Breakdown

The Minnesota Wild add a versatile forward in Brink, giving them extra offensive depth as they push toward the postseason. Brink has shown he can contribute at a middle six pace with secondary scoring, and if he sees occasional powerplay time or bumps up in the lineup, he could provide modest fantasy value in deeper leagues.

For Philadelphia, acquiring Jiricek is more about long-term potential than immediate fantasy impact. Jiricek struggled to find traction this season, splitting time between the NHL and AHL, but his pedigree as a former top-10 draft pick suggests there's still room to develop into a meaningful contributor down the line.

Fantasy managers should see Brink as an opportunity based addition; someone who could chip in points in deeper leagues and provide occasional powerplay production if his role increases. Jiricek's immediate fantasy relevance is minimal, but keeping an eye on his development in Philadelphia could pay off next season.

Brink has 13 goals, 13 assists, and six powerplay points in 55 games played as a forward. He also has 90 shots on goal, 67 hits, and 30 blocked shots.

Jiricek has zero goals, zero assists, and 14 penalty minutes in 25 games played as a defensemen. He also has 15 shots on goal, eight hits, and 19 blocked shots.

Bruins and Flyers Trade

To the Boston Bruins: Massimo Rizzo, Alexis Gendron

To the Philadelphia Flyers: Brett Harrison, Jackson Edward

Fantasy Breakdown

Boston adds two young forwards in Rizzo and Gendron, both of whom are expected to provide organizational depth rather than immediate NHL impact. This is very much a future-focused trade, as the pair are developing in the AHL/ECHL and are unlikely to see significant ice time at the NHL level this season. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect points from either this year, but in deeper dynasty formats, keeping an eye on their progress could pay off in the long term.

For Philadelphia, acquiring Harrison and Edward gives the Flyers similar developmental pieces. Both are currently honing their skills in the minors and will likely remain outside fantasy relevance for the remainder of this season.

This trade is strictly about prospect movement and organizational planning, with no immediate fantasy impact - a good reminder that not all deadline deals change rosters overnight.

Wild and Blackhawks Trade

To the Minnesota Wild: Nick Foligno

To the Chicago Blackhawks: Future considerations

Fantasy Breakdown

The Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks completed a trade that sees veteran forward Foligno headed to Minnesota to join his brother, Marcus Foligno, on the same roster - a rare and compelling family reunion in the NHL.

The Wild acquired Foligno for future considerations, giving them a bit more grit, leadership, and penalty kill capability as they continue pushing toward the playoffs, while Chicago clears a veteran captain off their books for future flexibility.

From a fantasy perspective, this move doesn't immediately change much for most formats, as Foligno's offensive production has slowed with age and his role has been more about leadership and two‑way play than scoring. Still, pairing him with a familiar physical identity in Minnesota alongside Marcus could give him a slight bump in corner possession and depth line minutes - something fantasy managers in deeper leagues might watch for.

Again, I feel like a broken record - but this is another case of the same five or six teams competing in a literal arms race this year. This time it is again the Wild, and I am all for it. Plus, reuniting two brothers at the end of their careers? Chefs kiss!

Nick has three goals, eight assists, and two powerplay points in 37 games played as a forward. He also has 30 shots on goal, 87 hits, and 26 blocked shots.

Kings and Lightning Trade

To the Los Angeles Kings: Second‑round draft pick (2028), Retain 50 per cent of Perry's salary

To the Tampa Bay Lightning: Corey Perry

Fantasy Breakdown

Tampa Bay adds a seasoned veteran in Perry, a forward whose experience and leadership could be pivotal in a playoff run. Despite his age, Perry remains an unreal grinder with an elite level of compete, and his ability to create chaos in front of the net makes him a valuable addition to Tampa's lineup.

His track record in big games speaks volumes - he's been to countless Stanley Cup Finals on several different teams, and knows how to elevate his play when it matters most. This is exactly the kind of veteran depth player that can tilt the ice in critical moments.

From a fantasy perspective, Perry isn't going to suddenly become a top scorer, but his opportunity in Tampa could stabilize his production. He's consistently contributed goals, assists, and net front presence, and in deeper leagues that reward hits, powerplay points, or +/-, he's someone worth rostering if the matchup or situation favors him. Fantasy managers should also consider his playoff experience as an intangible that can translate into meaningful, if situational, point contributions down the stretch.

For Los Angeles, trading Perry for a second-round draft pick signals a focus on the future and roster flexibility. The Kings open up space for younger forwards to step in, while Tampa gains a proven competitor who can influence games beyond the stat sheet. This move is a reminder that even late-career veterans like Perry can still be highly impactful in the right environment, both in real life and in fantasy contexts where opportunity meets execution.

Whether you love him or hate him, the fact is Perry is more than just a waiver wire player at 40 years old. He is still producing points, penalty minutes, and other peripherals. And, we all know he shows up for meaningful games down the stretch.

Perry has 11 goals, 17 assists, and 11 powerplay points in 50 games played as a forward. He also has 87 shots on goal, 20 hits, and 17 blocked shots.
