Caesars Sportsbook Review

Will Desvallees Mar 11th 5:00 PM EST.

Caesars Sportsbook is certainly a big name in the industry. Its line of casinos has allowed Caesars to open a sportsbook with which they can afford to give thousands of dollars in free bets to its new users. Alongside FanDuel and DraftKings, Caesars Sportsbook is one of the best online sports betting platforms out today. Let's take a look at the many different reasons for which you should consider registering with Caesars Sportsbook.

Learn more about the basics of sports betting!

Mobile App & Website (4 / 5 Stars)

Caesars’ has one of the most well-respected and monitored online platforms in the industry. Sometimes, keeping track of how your bets are doing can be tricky. While their application and website may not be the most appealing visually, it offers users all the standard betting options users could want. They also have regular promotions that are easy to find and activate before locking in your bet. Caesars Sportsbooks’ platform is on par with that of the biggest online sportsbooks in the game including FanDuel and DraftKings.

Registering, Depositing, Withdrawing (4 / 5 Stars)

Caesars used to have some known issues regardin users transferring money in and out of their account. Notably, many users had reported months ago that they were not getting the money they withdrew from the platform in a reasonable timeframe. There were also other glitches and issues regarding the mechanics of getting money in and out of the platform.

Most of the applications' glitches surfaced when there was an influx of new users when the sportsbook opened in New York in January. Naturally, Caesars addressed and fixed all of these issues regarding registering, depositing, and withdrawing which they had earlier in the year. Now, money-transfer issues in and out of Caesars’ online platform are virtually nonexistent, providing users with on-time cash outs and quick deposits. Registering for the platform is quick and easy. Caesars’ massive customer service department makes the process of approving new users relatively easy unlike some of the smaller and newer sportsbooks.

Betting Options (4 / 5 Stars)

Caesars offers a wide array of betting options for its users. This includes a standard number of player props and the same game parlay legs to choose from. It must be said that they can improve their live betting section in some areas, such as offering users the chance to create in-play parlay bets or to offer more markets on some of the less popular sports.

That said, their live betting options are pretty decent. The main features Caesars lacks is cashing out in the middle of a parlay and certain live bets. Other sportsbooks offer cash-outs while Caesars locks the bet in firmly. Besides that, Caesars’ betting options are on par with the other sportsbooks, offering its users odds that are unique to their platform.

Bonuses & Promos (5 / 5 Stars)

New Caesars Sportsbook users are greeted with very generous promotions. For instance, when sportsbooks opened in New York, all newly registered users were given $300 to bet on their platform by simply entering an easy promo code. Caesars Sportsbook new users in New York enjoyed a first deposit matched up to $3,000. In essence, if users made a $3,000 first-time deposit, Caesars would match the account with an additional $3,000 in free bets, thus giving first-time users maxing out this promotion up to $6,000 ($3,000 bonus cash) to bet. That was one of the most enticing promotions to new users in the industry.

At the moment, the promotion is still great but not as unbelievable as the one available to new users in New York. Caesars recently launched in Illinois and new users are being treated to a risk-free bet up to $1,500. This is the perfect time for you to register and take advantage of this promotion for the rest of the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

All-in-all, Caesars might have the best new-user promotions in the industry. While they may lack in terms of daily promotions such as profit-boosts, Caesars Sportsbook is willing to give more free betting dollars to its new customers than its competitors in the industry.

Pros

  • Very generous first-time bet insurance up to $1,100
  • Excellent promotions for big sporting events
  • Standard betting options
  • Standard payouts
  • Previously existing issues and glitches have been addressed and fixed

Cons

  • No live scoring means that users have to go back and forth between the application and ESPN to check in on the statistics relevant to their live bets.
  • Glitches and issues with money transfers. These issues have been fixed.

Conclusion

While Caesars offers many of the standard features you would like to have in your sportsbook, it definitely is limited in comparison to its competitors like DraftKings and FanDuel. Without parlay live-betting and the ability for users to cash out of previously placed bets in live time is enough for me to be sure that it is not a top-three sportsbook in the industry. Still, their great bonuses and promotions make Caesars a solid option for people just getting started with sports betting with first-time bet insurance of up to $1,500.
