Week 16 Fantasy Football Running Back & Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups: Tyler Allgeier Is Beasting It Up!

Will Desvallees Dec 19th 4:46 PM EST. Edited 2:51 PM.

There are always more free-agent options at running back and wide receiver than there are at quarterback and tight end even with just three weeks remaining in the 2022 NFL season. Tyler Allgeier continues to stand out as one of the best free-agent running backs while Marquise Goodwin is slated to see his role increase with Tyler Lockett getting ready to undergo season-ending hand surgery.

Let's dive in on the best waiver wire pickups availble at the running back and wide receiver position as we gear up for the semi-finals of the fantasy football season.

Week 16 Fantasy Football Quarterback & Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups: Taylor Heinicke Leads The Way!

Will Desvallees Dec 19th 1:29 PM EST. Edited 1:50 PM.

Heading into Week 16, there are very few good free-agent options at tight end or quarterback. Taylor Heinicke of the Commanders has played pretty well since taking over as the team’s starter once Carson Wentz got injured. At tight end, Juwon Johnson just had a two-touchdown game on Sunday making him the tight end with the second-most receiving touchdowns (7 TDs) in the NFL this season behind Travis Kelce (12 TDs). They lead the way as we take a look at the best free-agent quarterbacks and tight ends to go after as we head into the semi-finals of the fantasy football playoffs!

Week 16 Quarterbacks To Add

QB Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons (9.75% Owned)

The Falcons opted to play Desmond Ridder on Sunday against the Saints after Marcus Mariota was sent to Injured Reserve. The rookie had a rough game in which he completed just 50% of his passes for less than 100 yards and no touchdowns. Now that he is the starting quarterback for the Falcons moving forward, he could have some solid games in the weeks to come especially after getting his rough NFL debut out of the way against a very talented defense. Hopefully, Ridder can find a more comfortable footing in his next few games than he did in Week 15 against the Saints. That said, it was encouraging to see his chemistry with rookie wideout Drake London. The two rookies hooked up seven times for 70 yards. Ridder doesn't have a whole lot of options at his disposal with Kyle Pitts out for the season but we should see him get Cordarrelle Patterson more involved in the passing game. If that is the case, he could be a worthy free-agent pickup at quarterback as he gears up for a matchup against a Baltimore Ravens team that is currently favored to win by a touchdown. That means Ridder should be slinging the rock plenty. Ridder is now available from waivers in approximately 90% of fantasy football leagues.

Week 15 Fantasy Football Running Back & Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups: Jameson Williams Leads The Way!

Will Desvallees Dec 12th 1:48 PM EST. Edited 2:08 PM.

Despite missing most of his rookie season, WR Jameson Williams of the Lions finally got going this weekend and found the end zone in his NFL debut. His very first reception was a touchdown bomb thrown by the red-hot Jared Goff. The rookie leads the waiver wire conversation as we take a look at the top free-agent running backs and wide receivers to target as we head into Week 15 of the fantasy football season.

Please Note: We are not including New York Jets revelation Zonovan Knight because he is too highly owned. However, if he's available in your league, you need to pounce on this kid. With Breece Hall out for the remainder of the season, the Jets are going to continue to lean on the talented rookie running back.

Let's dive in!

Week 8 Fantasy Basketball Trade Value Charts: James Harden Leads Buy-Low Trade Targets

Will Desvallees Dec 7th 3:15 PM EST. Edited 4:29 PM.

Week 8 of the fantasy basketball season is coming to a close this weekend. Heading into Week 9 of the season, James Harden and Wendell Carter Jr. stand out as the two most valuable buy-low trade targets. Both of them missed November due to injury which has substantially decreased their respective trade values.

Elsewhere, Domantas Sabonis’ trade value is hyperinflated to the point that he is the fourth-highest-ranked center on the NBA Trade Value Charts behind just Nikola Jokic, Anthony Davis, and Joel Embiid.

Let’s take a look at the best fantasy basketball trade targets to buy-low or sell-high as we approach Week 9.

Week 9 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups: Andrew Nembhard Is Turning Heads!

Will Desvallees Dec 6th 4:09 PM EST. Edited 4:09 PM.

Heading into Week 9 (Dec. 12 - Dec. 18) of the 2022-23 fantasy basketball season, there are multiple options to consider adding off the waiver wire. Without a doubt, Pacers’ guard Andrew Nembhard is the most valuable waiver-wire target at the moment. He had a 31-point, 13-assist double-double against the Warriors last night but was red-hot leading up to that game. He will quickly become unavailable from waivers, especially after his outstanding performance in which he basically went up one-on-one against Stephen Curry.

Injuries to the Wizards and Hawks make PF Jalen Johnson and C Daniel Gafford prime waiver-wire targets. Likewise, C Nick Richards has had four double-doubles in his last ten games and is averaging almost 10 points and seven rebounds per game despite averaging just 19.3 minutes per contest off the bench for the Charlotte Hornets in a backup role for Mason Plumlee.

Let’s dive in on the best fantasy basketball waiver-wire pickups as your prepare for Week 9.

Week 8 NBA Injury Report: Karl-Anthony Towns To Be Sidelined Until January

Will Desvallees Dec 6th 3:10 PM EST. Edited 3:30 PM.

There is a combination of good and bad NBA injury news to report this week, so let’s start with the bad. Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a pretty severely strained hamstring last week. The Timberwolves are now expecting him to be out for another four-to-six weeks which means the Twin Towers of KAT and Rudy Gobert likely won’t be on the floor together until January. In addition, SG Bradley Beal of the Wizards also strained his hamstring and won’t be re-evaluated until next week.

The good news focuses on returns. Khris Middleton is back in the starting lineup for the Bucks and TJ Warren has finally made his way back to the NBA after not playing since 2020. Elsewhere, James Harden made his return last night while Robert Williams of the Celtics could be games away from returning to the action.

Let’s dive in on all the latest NBA injury news there is to report as it pertains to fantasy basketball this week.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Running Back & Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups: James Cook Is Heating Up!

Will Desvallees Dec 5th 2:51 PM EST. Edited 2:51 PM.

While fantasy football free-agent quarterbacks and tight ends are more difficult to pinpoint as we head into Week 14, there is a surplus of running backs and wide receivers to target from waivers in fantasy football leagues right now. RB James Cook has seen his share of carries increase substantially out of the Bills’ backfield. He produced more receiving and rushing yards than Devin Singletary on Sunday. Elsewhere, Cam Akers has returned to the Rams and had a two-touchdown game on Sunday in their loss to the Seahawks.

At receiver, Jahan Dotson, Nico Collins, and Michael Gallup stand out as three guys who’ve seen their production increase over the last few weeks yet remain available from waivers in many fantasy football leagues right now.
