Tuesday Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Targets
From breakout scorers to reliable streamers, these adds are heating up for the week.
It's time for our second fantasy basketball waiver wire story of the week!
We combined adds and drops in one story on Monday, so check that out here. We won't cover any adds who appeared in that article.
Waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Gary Trent Jr. - Milwaukee Bucks
Trent has been added in 4.85% of fantasy basketball leagues today, bringing his overall mark to 14.8%.
Trent has come on strong of late for the sputtering Bucks. He has scored in double figures in four of the past five contests.
Trent is most importantly coming off a 36-point showing, so that's the biggest reason why he's on the rise today. He also had four assists and two rebounds and steals over 37 minutes in that outing.
I wouldn't be expecting a repeat performance, but with several teammates out, the chance for Trent to deliver big is there. Give him some deep-league streams today, and be ready to turn that to standard league streams if he keeps posting big numbers down the stretch.
Sandro Mamukelashvili - Toronto Raptors
Mamukelashvili has been picked up in 2.52% of leagues so far today. He sits at 41.33% overall.
Mamukelashvili has scored 13 or more points in four straight contests. He has 24 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and nine steals over that stretch as well.
He's played between 15-32 minutes, and three of the games were at 21 or less minutes, so he's a bit harder to trust after seeing that. He's done enough to try in deeper leagues at least.
Toronto has a couple players out, and a few more are questionable for the team's Tuesday game. The more players are out, the better the fantasy outlook for Mamukelashvili becomes, so keep an eye on that and maybe add him in standard leagues as a streamer if all the injured players are out.
Dillon Brooks - Phoenix Suns
Brooks is rostered in 40% of leagues as he nears a return to the court.
He's expected to play on Tuesday. Brooks hasn't played since February 21.
In 50 games this season, Brooks has averaged 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1 steal and 0.2 blocks over 30.6 minutes a contest. That's good fantasy production for any league.
He might be eased back into things a bit, so I really only like trying him in deeper leagues. Brooks could be back in standard leagues if he looks good tonight though, so keep tabs on him.
Ayo Dosunmu - Minnesota Timberwolves
Dosumu is up 2.36%, bringing his overall mark to 75%.
Dosunmu has found some success since joining the T-Wolves at the trade deadline. He's scored in double figures in eight straight and is now being helped after Jaden McDaniels was diagnosed with a knee injury that leaves him week-to-week.
In Minnesota, Dosumnu is averaging 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocks over 27.9 minutes a game. He's been better of late, and is coming off a triple-double, so that's why he's on the rise today.
Dosunmu needs to be owned and utilized in all deeper leagues already. He's emerged as a good standard league fantasy asset too, and should be picked up in more leagues after the McDaniels' injury.
At least stream Dosumnu tonight to see if he can deliver big again, like he did in his last appearance.
Brook Lopez - Los Angeles Clippers
Lopez has been added in 4.5% of leagues, bumping his overall mark to 61.22%.
Lopez has picked up more in the latter part of the season as the Clippers deal with injuries to big men. Lopez should be in for another big game on Tuesday, as Los Angeles is missing a couple big men again.
Lopez has scored in double figures in five of the past seven contests, and added in enough other stats to be a decent fantasy asset. Take his last game as an example. He scored just eight points, but added seven rebounds, four steals, two blocks and one steal to deliver for fantasy owners yet.
He's playing enough for fantasy relevance, and he's delivered consistently enough to trust in more leagues for the time being. I like him in deeper leagues for sure, and would consider him in standard leagues too, especially if I needed a big man.
He's not a must-add player by any means, but he's worth considering in standard leagues at the very least.
