Waiver Wire Adds
There's several fantasy basketball players who have own percentage increases over 5%.
Sacramento's Maxime Raynaud is up 16.99% today, which brings his overall mark to 47.31%.
He has played 20+ minutes in four straight games, and even started the last game for the Kings. He has scored between 9-25 points in those contests, while also having six or more rebounds in three straight. He's chipped in some assists, steals and blocks as well.
Raynaud is trending up right now, and deserves to at least be a deep-league streaming option for the time being. I'd do my best to hold him, at least until his role or production falls way off. He could work into standard leagues in a hurry if he keeps delivering, so everyone at least needs to be watching him.
Indiana's Jay Huff is back on the rise. He's up 9.89% and sits at 68.26% overall now.
He has started five straight games now. Huff played 17 minutes in one of those contests, but has been at 21 or more minutes in the other four.
Huff has double-digits scoring outputs in four of the starts, and in seven of the past nine contests. He adds in a handful of rebounds, assists, steals and blocks each night as well, so he's a pretty solid fantasy asset.
He needs to keep playing, and producing, to stick in all deeper leagues, while being a standard league streaming option. Watch Huff closely, but take advantage of things while you can.
New Orleans' Bryce McGowens is up 9.85% and now sits at 13.02% owned.
He has made five straight starts, playing 24 or more minutes in each contest. McGowens has scored in double figures in three of the past four contests, and chips in a few other stats each night as well.
McGowens will need to keep things up, or increase his production, in order to stick in deeper leagues and maybe one day get into standard leagues. Right now, he's worth more deep-league adds, even if it's just to stream him until he cools off a bit.
He's worth keeping tabs on, as the Pelicans need some players to step up.
Phoenix's Jordan Goodwin is owned in 19.16% of leagues after an 8.89% increase today.
He hasn't been starting of late, but he's played at least 21 minutes in back-to-back games now. Goodwin has 22 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals over those contests.
Goodwin's role will likely decrease when the Suns are healthier, but for the time being, he's a solid deep-league option. He's worth some deep-league streaming action as well, while being a hold in really deep formats.
I don't think he'll stick as a daily deep-league asset when Phoenix is healthier, so take advantage of things with Goodwin while you can.
New Orleans' Jose Alvarado is up 6.14% and is now rostered in 26.95% of leagues overall.
Alvarado is another guy who has been coming off the bench, but he has played at least 22 minutes in seven straight contests now. He has scored in double figures in all but two of those games, and stuffs the stat sheet pretty well otherwise.
As long as he's playing this many minutes and producing at a similar rate, Alvarado is worth some deep-league fantasy usage. I think he's a bit underowned, so look into adding and holding him for a bit. He's at least a very good deep-league streaming asset.
Some other fantasy players with own percentages up at least 5% are: San Antonio's Jeremy Sochan, Sacramento's Precious Achiuwa and San Antonio's Julian Champagnie.
Drop Candidates
There's a ton of fantasy players being dropped in 6% or more of fantasy leagues today.
The biggest drop is Memphis' Vince Williams Jr., who is down 11.5%. He's at 22% overall now.
He has played 19 and 16 minutes in starts over his past two games. Williams' fantasy numbers have been lacking as a result, with just eight points, three rebounds, four assists and two blocks in those contests combined.
He is averaging 22.2 minutes per game on the season, and is a pretty decent fantasy asset when he's playing at least that many minutes. At the minute totals he's played the past two nights, it's hard for anyone to be a legit fantasy asset.
Williams is definitely droppable in some deeper leagues, but I'm not ready to write him off for the season. Things could get worse before they get better though, so if you are high on Williams, be prepared to maybe not utilize him a ton over the next few weeks.
Be ready to pounce if his playing time increases in a game to come, as he'll be rostered in most deeper leagues again in a hurry.
Golden State's Jonathan Kuminga was let go in 10.2% of leagues so far. Kuminga is rostered in 41% of leagues.
He was a healthy DNP in the last Golden State game, so that's enough reason to immediately drop him in all standard leagues. Kuminga only has hit double digits as a scorer in one of his past four contests, and topped out at 21 minutes in those games.
Kuminga can be a really good fantasy asset when he's getting enough minutes, but that's not happening of late. He's not even worth holding in deeper leagues if his recent game usage keeps up.
Keep an eye on him and be ready to move off him or scoop him up depending on which way he goes moving forward.
Dallas' Naji Marshall is down 9.2% today. He's owned in 44% of leagues now.
I'm not exactly sure why he's being dropped so rapidly today. He has scored at least 15 points in three straight games. Marshall's other stats have fallen a bit the past two nights, but he's still played 26 and 28 minutes, and again, is scoring at a decent clip.
He is a very good deep-league asset right now, and is worth streaming in some standard leagues as well. Don't drop him in deeper leagues - look to trade him instead.
Dallas' Ryan Nembhard is also trending down after being let go in 8.7% of leagues. Nembhard is sitting at 55% rostered.
His minutes have gone down over the past two contests, but he's still started both and combined for 21 points, four rebounds, 11 assists and a steal in those games.
Nembhard probably was rostered in too many leagues, so dropping him out of standard leagues makes sense to me. Again though, I'm holding on to him in deeper leagues unless there's a can't-miss guy on the waiver wire.
Detroit's Isaiah Stewart was dropped in 8% of fantasy leagues today. He's at 33% overall.
He started just his seventh game of the season in his last appearance, and provided 19 points, two rebounds and a block. That was his first time in double figures as a scorer in nine games.
Detroit wasn't missing a ton of players, so again, I'm not really seeing why he's being dropped so rapidly today. I still view Stewart as a pretty good deep-league option. Maybe it's because the team has just one game this week, but the whole NBA schedule is out of whack this week for the NBA Cup, so I wouldn't overreact and make sweeping changes to rosters.
Other fantasy players whose own percentage is down at least 6% today are: Charlotte's Moussa Diabate, Golden State's Buddy Hield, Chicago's Ayo Dosunmu, Denver's Cameron Johnson, Philadelphia's Jared McCain, Miami's Davion Mitchell, Milwaukee's AJ Green, Atlanta's Zaccharie Risacher, Brooklyn's Noah Clowney and Philadelphia's Kelly Oubre Jr.
