Looking at a few waiver wire pitchers and hitters to consider adding in fantasy baseball leagues.

A new week of fantasy baseball has arrived, so it's time to go over some waiver wire options.

We won't go over any pitchers that appeared in Monday's starting pitcher streaming story.

Check out the top fantasy baseball waiver wire options everyday on FantasySP. Join the new FantasySP Discord to keep up to date with all the recent news from FSP!

Should You Add Daylen Lile?

Lile has been added in 9.95% of leagues and is up to 14.57% owned overall.

He is on a seven-game hitting streakc collecting 13 hits over his past 28 plate appearances. Lile has a home run, four triples and a double among his hits. He also has six RBIs, eight runs scored, a stolen base, one walk and four strikeouts in that span.

His average has risen from .258 to .282 over this hot stretch. Lile has a .326 on-base percentage for the season. He has 71 total hits over 275 plate appearances, including 13 doubles, eight doubles and four homers. Lile has 28 RBIs, 39 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 14 walks and 44 strikeouts as well.

Lile is starting daily and is hitting in favorable spots in the order. He's been in the 2-5 slots over his past five games. While Washington isn't a great offense to be in, Lile is making it work of late.

He's starting to settle in during his rookie year, and is starting to look like a decent asset for the Nats over time. Lile needs to be added immediately in dynasty leagues if he's available still.

I'd also say he deserves to be rostered in more deeper standard leagues right now too. At least add and utilize him until he cools off a bit.

Another hot week at the plate could get Lile into standard leagues. This deep into the season, it's about rostering the best fantasy assets, and he's been one of those guys of late, so it's not crazy to add and utilize him in standard leagues too right now.

Should You Add Jorge Polanco?

Polanco has been added in 2.97% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 64.24%.

He's on a five-game hitting streak, posting seven knocks over his past 20 plate appearances. Polanco had a double and two homers among the hits, along with four RBIs, five runs scored, four walks and just one strikeout in that stretch.

Polanco has had an up-and-down season, but sits with a .258 average and .323 OBP over 454 plate appearances. He has 18 doubles and 24 home runs among his 104 total hits, along with 66 RBIs, 56 runs scored, six stolen bases, 38 walks and 71 punchouts.

Polanco has been a waiver wire add several times this season, and is hitting well enough now to add and stream until he cools off. He definitely needs to be rostered in deeper leagues, and he should be a solid fantasy asset down the stretch, even after he cools off a bit.

I'm for adding Polanco in standard leagues right now too. Again, you want the hottest hitters on your team, and Polanco is among the hottest hitters now, so you might as well utilize him.

He should be eligible at second base, but he's mostly been the team's designated hitter this season. If he's eligible anywhere else, that's more reason to add him now.

Polanco has started in each of the team's past five games, hitting fifth or sixth. Daily playing time and production at the plate is plenty of reason to utilize him in standard leagues, so do it if you need another hitter for the stretch run.

Should You Add Otto Lopez?

Lopez sits at 31% rostered right now. He was under 30% the past couple days.

He popped two homers among his three hits on Sunday. He drove in four runs and scored twice.

Lopez has been good across six September games and 23 plate appearances. He has seven hits, including the two homers. Lopez has two walks, four RBIs, three runs scored and four strikeouts as well.

You can see that he hasn't done much outside the hits until Sunday, but a two-homer game is always going to catch people's attention.

He's likely eligible at second base and shortstop, which is a plus for his fantasy value. Lopez has hit between first-fifth in the lineup over the past five games, so he's in favorable spots, despite not being on the best offense.

Lopez has a .248 average and .315 OBP over 125 games and 517 plate appearances this season. He has 18 doubles and 14 home runs among his 116 total hits, along with 70 RBIs, 59 runs scored, 12 stolen bases, 44 walks and 74 strikeouts.

There's some solid numbers in there, but a lower average and OBP are holding him back some. Him being on the Marlins also hurts his own percentage.

He's a solid deep-league asset though, and I'd be happy to add and stream him in those leagues down the stretch. See who else is available and give Lopez an add if you don't like your other options.

Should You Add Cade Cavalli?

Cavalli is rostered in 21.71% of leagues after a 4.95% increase so far today.

Cavalli will make a start against the Marlins on Monday, so he's another streaming option. It will mark his second straight start against Miami. Cavalli earned a win after striking out six over five frames back on September 2. He allowed two runs on four hits and one walk.

Cavalli has made six appearances this season. He has a 4.85 earned run average over 29 2/3 innings, while striking out 28 batters. Cavalli has allowed 17 runs (16 earned) on 36 hits and eight walks.

His ERA isn't great, but he has good strikeout totals and is capable of delivering strong results. Cavalli is still a bit susceptible to a blowup outing, so that's why he's not owned in more leagues, or is a bigger waiver add today.

After just shutting down the Marlins in his last start, I like the idea of streaming Cavalli in deeper leagues today. I'd bet there are better streamers available in standard leagues, including the guy we are going to discuss next.

Should You Add Jose Quintana?

Quintana has been added in 6.27% of leagues and sits at 57.14% overall.

Quintana has a Monday start against the Rangers. It will be the veteran's first start against Texas this season.

Quintana has worked 22 times this season, going 11-5 with a 3.72 ERA over 121 innings. He's allowed 57 runs (50 earned) on 112 hits and 46 walks, while striking out 83 batters.

His strikeout work is below average, but a solid ERA is helping Quintana have fantasy relevance. Him pitching for the best team in the big leagues is also a plus in his favor.

The matchup is why Quintana is really on the rise though. Texas has been one of the more favorable matchups all season, and a veteran like Quintana has a nice outlook against a weak-hitting team like this.

He's allowed more than three runs in a start just once since the start of July, and he's coming off a 6 1/3-inning outing his last time out. Quintana is a pretty solid streaming option for the night considering all things.

I'd say he deserves a start in just about every deep league tonight. I'd be happy to start him in a standard league as well, given there aren't a ton of other options available that you like.

I see a pretty solid floor and notable fantasy ceiling too. Stream Quintana and expect average-or-better results tonight.
