2026 Fantasy Football QB Rankings: Who’s Worth Your Pick?
Morgan gives his top-10 fantasy quarterbacks for the 2026 season.
With the 2025 NFL regular season wrapped up, most fantasy football owners are already turning their eyes to 2026, as postseason fantasy play isn't as common. Today, I wanted to offer up rankings for the quarterback position, giving my top-10 guys.
I'll cover running backs, wide receivers and tight ends in stories to come.
Last week, the FantasySP team went over fantasy awards for 2025. We also discussed draft steals and busts and put together the top-12 picks for 2026. Be sure to check those four articles out too!
Check our 2025 fantasy football draft bust/surprise data on FantasySP!
1. Josh Allen
I don't know how you choose anyone but Allen for the top fantasy quarterback for 2026.
He led the position in fantasy points again in 2025, and has repeatedly been a top-end fantasy QB over the past several years.
He's going to remain the focal point of the Bills' offense, and that's regardless of who surrounds him. Expect another big fantasy showing from Allen in 2026.
2. Drake Maye
I gave Maye the No. 2 fantasy QB spot after finishing there in 2025.
He was the fantasy steal of the year at the position, going from a late-round option to a top option in a single season. Now we just have to hope there's no year three regression.
I don't think that will happen, as the Patriots will continue to surround him with more and more offensive talent, and I see Maye improving as he matures under the new Patriots' coaches.
Jackson was a fantasy disappointment this season. He struggles with injuries, and wasn't very good in his time on the field.
I see him bouncing back in a big way in 2026, so he lands the No. 3 QB spot. Based on how his 2025 season went, he could be a draft value depending where he falls.
The Ravens' next coach will probably go a long way in determining how set up Jackson is to return as a top-tier option for 2026 and beyond.
4. Joe Burrow
Burrow had a good fantasy season, but his year was also derailed by injuries.
If he sticks in Cincinnati, his fantasy outlook will be sky high just on the fact that he gets to throw to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. If he moves elsewhere, he might also move up or down my list.
For now though, the No. 4 spot seems right for Burrow.
Mahomes was enjoying a bounceback fantasy season when he suffered a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee.
That injury will put the start of his 2026 regular season in question, but I believe he will be out there for week 1 at this point, so he gets a top-five spot for me.
The injury is likely to hurt his daft stock, but it could help him turn into a good draft value for 2026.
6. Jalen Hurts
Hurts drops back to the No. 6 slot after a down season (by his standards).
A new offensive staff in Philly could bump his fantasy stock right back up, but for now, I'd be skeptical of drafting Hurts going into 2026.
The dual-threat QB will still be one of the more appealing options for 2026, even off a slower season.
7. Brock Purdy
Purdy was another fantasy QB who fared well in 2026, but also missed several games with injuries.
A fully healthy Purdy has top-five fantasy upside, but this feels like a safer spot to take the quarterback.
He could be helped out with some more pass-catching options being added to the roster, especially with George Kittle likely to miss a large portion of the year (if not it all).
A strong finish to the season helped Lawrence end up as one of the top fantasy QBs in 2025.
He was in the first year with a new coaching staff, so the progress at the end of the season was a welcomed sight, and his future looks bright.
Might the former No. 1 pick be breaking out? If the end of the season numbers continue next year, he could be a draft steal even as the No. 8 QB taken.
Williams showed some progress in the second season of his career, and first year under a new coaching staff.
Consistency is still an issue, and he has high-end upside if he could put it all together.
Ben Johnson proved to turn the Bears' offense around, so Williams should be a top-10 fantasy QB heading into 2026.
10. Dak Prescott
Prescott had a top-10 fantasy finish at the position in 2025, and I could see him doing it again in 2026.
He has a lot of offensive weapons around him in Dallas, and things should keep running through Prescott in 2026.
Prescott will be 33 years old by the time next season starts, but I see another top-10 finish or two in him yet, at least.
Final Thoughts
You're going to find a lot of these quarterbacks in other top-10 lists this offseason.
What I want to say is that I think quarterbacks aren't going to be as highly valued in 2026. This past season, not many fantasy QBs were truly elite, meaning they should draft in fantasy drafts going into 2026.
For reference, Allen, Jackson, Jayden Daniels, Hurts and Burrow were all taken in the top-40 picks for 2025. Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Bo Nix, Kyler Murray, Purdy and Herbert were also top-100 picks.
Next year, I could see Allen and Maye going in the top 30, but Jackson going closer to No. 40. Burrow might be the only other QB to be taken in the top 50.
After maybe Mahomes (depending on his injury status), there could only be one or two other quarterbacks taken in the top 100 (Hurts and Purdy).
Lawrence, Williams and Prescott could end up going in the top 100 on average, but I'd be happier taking them outside the top 100. We'll see if the fantasy football community agrees, or we fall in line to close to what happened in 2025.
