Let's continue week 16 fantasy football rankings by going over the tight end position.

We looked at quarterbacks already, and will take a look at running backs and wide receivers in other articles, so check back for those.

Check out week 16 fantasy football projections for tight ends on FantasySP as well.

1. George Kittle

Kittle has been good in his return from early-season injury.

Adding in a pretty favorable test against the Colts in week 16 and I have Kittle ranked first among tight ends.

2. Trey McBride

McBride has been the top fantasy tight end this season, but in a tougher matchup, I'm dropping him to the second spot.

Atlanta is his matchup. The Falcons are the second-toughest challenge for a fantasy TE this season, so McBride could struggle a bit more than usual.

3. Brock Bowers

Bowers posted an OK score in PPR leagues, but it was six receptions that carried him, as he only mustered 28 yards.

Houston is his matchup this week, which is another tough test. I just like his upside too much to rank him any lower than this.

4. Dallas Goedert

Goedert was a great fantasy asset in week 15, and now he'll look to continue that this coming week.

Washington is a high-end fantasy test for a tight end, so I see Goedert thriving this week.

5. Kyle Pitts Sr.

Pitts absolutely went off in week 15, and he could deliver big again in week 16 with a favorable matchup coming against the Cardinals.

I don't think he'll come close to last week's numbers, especially if Drake London is back, but I'd be willing to start him in all leagues and be expecting a top-five finish.

6. Harold Fannin

Fannin has been a target hog over the past two games, racking up 25 in total.

That's a big reason why I rank him sixth this week, as his week 16 matchup is the toughest possible against the Bills. I think on volume alone, Fannin will deliver a big fantasy score.

7. Tyler Warren

Warren was uninspiring in his first game with Philip Rivers as the starting quarterback, but he did get six targets.

His matchup is good again this week, but I'm dropping him to seventh because of the overall state of the Colts' offense. Hopefully he can bounce back this week.

8. Travis Kelce

Kelce was pretty good last week, but now I wonder how motivated he'll be with the Chiefs eliminated.

Tennessee is an above-average matchup for the tight end, so a top-10 finish should be doable, even with Gardner Minshew now throwing to him.

9. Darren Waller

Waller was great in week 15, scoring twice and going for 66 yards on seven receptions and eight targets.

He too will have a new QB throwing to him in Quinn Ewers, but in an elite matchup against the Bengals, I like Waller in the top 10 again.

10. Dalton Schultz

Schultz was awesome in week 15, and I think he's still very underrated as a fantasy asset.

Las Vegas is a tougher test on paper, but the way Schultz has been going over the past several weeks, I'm fine starting him in deeper leagues, and some standard leagues too.

11. Hunter Henry

Henry was disappointing in a tough matchup last week, so he's looking to bounce back in week 16.

Unfortunately, he has another tough test coming against the Ravens, but I see him doing a bit more this week than he did last week.

12. Jake Ferguson

Ferguson also didn't do much in week 15, but at a weak TE spot, he still gets a pretty nice ranking.

He too has a tougher challenge coming against the Chargers.

13. Colby Parkinson

Parkinson gets the No. 13 ranking after a big week 15 showing and going into a nice week 16 matchup.

He will take on the Seahawks, who are a top-five fantasy TE matchup. Parkinson had 14 yards and a score on two catches and targets the last time the teams met.

14. Oronde Gadsden

Gadsden got going a bit in week 15, so maybe he could get in a good groove again down the stretch.

Dallas is a pretty average test, so the rookie has a chance to deliver average-or-so results, or better if he can find the end zone.

15. Juwan Johnson

Johnson has been consistent, but unimpressive over the past three weeks.

A slightly below-average test against the Jets is a chance for him to deliver average results, so this feels like the perfect spot for him.

16. AJ Barner

Barner has cooled off the past couple weeks after a big showing in week 11.

The Rams are a tougher test on paper, but Barner had 70 yards on 10 receptions and 11 targets the last time the teams met, so he's not as bad of an option as you might think.

17. Colston Loveland

Loveland has been steadily involved for the past several weeks now.

The Packers are a tougher matchup on paper, but he had 29 yards and a touchdown on four catches and five targets against them just two weeks ago.

18. Theo Johnson

Johnson had just three catches last week, but turned them into 72 yards to deliver a nice fantasy showing.

Minnesota is another slightly below-average test for the tight end, so this feels like a fair ranking for Johnson.

19. Evan Engram

Engram has done very little over the past two games, but a better matchup has me optimistic about Engram in week 16.

Jacksonville is his matchup. The Jaguars are the seventh-best fantasy matchup for a tight end this season.

20. T.J. Hockenson

Hockenson has been a pretty steady fantasy asset over the past three weeks, so he's trending up as the season winds down.

A tougher test against the Giants is why I'm not very high on him for week 16.

21. Mark Andrews

Andrews has been really disappointing over the past three weeks in really favorable matchups, so he's outside my top 20 now.

He has another pretty nice matchup coming, so he gets another spot inside my rankings.

22. Brenton Strange

Strange has cooled off these past two weeks, so he's looking to get rolling again.

An above-average matchup against the Broncos set up pretty well, but Strange still falls outside my top 20.

23. Dalton Kincaid

This feels so low for Kincaid, but I don't even know if he's his own team's fantasy TE1 after what Dawson Knox has done of late.

A slightly below-average matchup means I'm at least willing to give Kincaid a spot inside my top-25 tight ends. We'll see if he can get back on track, or if Knox will emerge as the team's best fantasy TE for the final couple weeks.

24. Mike Gesicki

Gesicki regressed hard last week, and struggled in both games against Baltimore this season.

He'll look to get rolling again in week 16 against the Dolphins, who are a super favorable fantasy test for tight ends. Gesicki could end up surprising again this week, but this is where I feel safest ranking him.

25. Gunnar Helm

Helm had one of his better games in week 15, going for 49 yards and a score on four receptions and targets.

He'll look to keep things rolling against the Chiefs in week 16. Kansas City is a tougher matchup on paper, but after being eliminated, it's not as daunting a test, so I'm willing to fire up the rookie tight end in some deeper leagues.
