The New York Jets haven't had a good season again, and it's not getting any better. Brady Cook will be the team's starting quarterback for week 15.

Usually, this isn't a very noteworthy thing from a fantasy football perspective, but with fantasy leagues in the postseason or on the cusp of the playoffs, it's worth discussing the Jets' fantasy outlooks with Cook at quarterback.

Having trouble deciding who to start? Let the FantasySP start/sit tool help you make a decision.

Brady Cook Fantasy Outlook

Let's start with Cook, a rookie who will be making his first NFL start.

He appeared in a game for the first time last week, and it went as you'd expect for an undrafted QB playing for the Jets. Cook was 14-of-30 passing for 163 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He didn't add anything as a rusher, was sacked six times and fumbled twice (although neither was lost).

That was against Miami, who is a pretty favorable fantasy matchup. Cook will be starting against the Jaguars, who have been almost an identical fantasy matchup for quarterbacks.

If you aren't catching my drift yet, I am not a fan of starting Cook in week 15, and that goes for any leagues. I know some of you in really deep leagues might be forced too, especially if you have Tyrod Taylor or Justin Fields, but I'd almost rather start no QB, because there's a chance Cook doesn't post a positive fantasy total.

I only had the Jets' starting QB (Cook included) ahead of Geno Smith (who Kenny Pickett is replacing this week) and whoever starts for the Colts in my quarterback rankings. The only reason Cook is higher is because he has a decent matchup, while the other two team's quarterbacks ranked below him have tough matchups.

Avoid Cook at all costs.

Running Back Fantasy Outlooks

Breece Hall is the best Jets' fantasy option with Garrett Wilson still out of the picture. I only ranked Hall 23rd for week 15.

His matchup against the Jaguars is a very tough one, so he wouldn't be a great fantasy starting option even if the Jets' offense was a full strength.

With Cook now starting at quarterback, I'd do my best to avoid Hall in standard leagues. Unfortunately, some of you might need to start him, and I wish you the best of luck if you need to, because it might be ugly for Hall, unless he can break off a long run/reception.

Hall is also on the injury report with a knee ailment, giving yet another reason to avoid starting him in standard leagues, or deeper leagues if you can help it.

Isaiah Davis is the backup RB for the Jets, but he's definitely someone to avoid, and that's whether Hall is out there or not. The matchup is brutal, and this Jets' offense is going to struggle to move the ball, so a backup running back is not worth starting, or even considering for that matter.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlooks

With Wilson still out, several wideouts have had to step up for the Jets.

Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie, Isaiah Williams, Allen Lazard and Arian Smith all played last week, and should again in week 15, with no wideouts on the injury report.

There's been times where Metchie and Mitchell have delivered good fantasy results, but it hasn't been consistent enough to trust either with a standard league starting spot, let alone a roster spot.

No Jets' receivers made my top-30 fantasy wide receiver rankings for week 15. The group has a pretty average matchup on paper, but with Cook at quarterback, I wouldn't feel great having to start any of the New York wideouts.

I'd rank them as follows: Mitchell, Metchie, Williams, Lazard and Smith. Mitchell and Metchie are the only two I'd even consider in deeper fantasy leagues, and I'd do my best to skip them in what's a super important week of fantasy football.

Tight End Fantasy Outlook

The only favorable matchup this week for the Jets comes at tight end, where Jacksonville is a top-three matchup.

That puts Mason Taylor in a spot to be successful. He's mostly underwhelmed this season, but with a young QB out there, maybe the rookie tight end could put together a decent fantasy showing.

I have Taylor ranked 20th for week 15th among the tight ends. He'd have been a lot higher if the Jets' offense was in a better place.

Taylor had 51 yards on five receptions and eight targets last week, when Cook handled most of the QB work. He could be a sneaky good option in week 15, but again, that's just in deeper leagues.

So like every single other one of the Jets' offensive players, Taylor has a chance to put up some points while being a focal point of the offense, but I only see him as a deep-league starting option.

UPDATE: Taylor is out with a neck injury. Jeremy Ruckert will serve as the top Jets' tight end in Taylor's place, but is just a deep, deep league option with not much fantasy production to his name this season. So it's pretty much Hall or bust with the Jets' fantasy options this week now.
