Week 7 Monday Night DraftKings DFS Lineup: David Montgomery, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and More
Morgan puts together a DFS lineup for the week 7 Monday night doubleheader.
After breaking down the top fantasy football options for the week 7 Monday night doubleheader, let's try putting together a DFS lineup for the night.
This contest includes nine roster spots: one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one flex player and one D/ST. Let's dive right in!

Quarterback - Jared Goff ($6,000)
I like Baker Mayfield the most out of the four quarterbacks playing tonight, but I'm taking Goff in a better matchup and because he's lower priced.
Goff is averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game, which isn't too far behind Mayfield (21.6).
You'll see I am going Lion heavy tonight, so I'm covered regardless of who stars for the offense.
Running Backs - Jahmyr Gibbs ($7,500) and David Montgomery ($5,500)
The best running back matchup belongs to the Lions' backs, so I just decided to take both guys.
Gibbs is the star of the bunch, but loses a handful of touches to Montgomery every game. By taking both, I'm making sure I get fantasy points from the backs in one way or another.
Gibbs averaged 17.2 fantasy points per game, while Montgomery is at 13.6 points per contest. As long as they are scoring or Goff is throwing touchdowns, my DFS lineup should be in great shape.
Wide Receiver - Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,200)
OK, I promise some non-Detroit players are coming. St. Brown is my favorite fantasy player from tonight's game, so I decided to splurge and get him.
He's the top fantasy wideout in Detroit, and can make the case to being the best in the league. St. Brown is averaging 22 fantasy points per contest.
Now I need St. Brown to catch any touchdown passes thrown by Goff, if Gibbs and Montgomery aren't doing the scoring. I'm set up well, especially if the Lions' offense goes off tonight.
Wide Receiver - Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($7,900)
Smith-Njigba was my No. 2 fantasy asset from tonight's game, so I again decided to splurge and take him.
He's averaging 23.6 fantasy points per game so far, and should deliver again, despite not having a favorable fantasy matchup, at all.
As long as nobody steals the Seattle receiving touchdowns, I like my chances with JSN and St. Brown leading my wideout spot.
Wide Receiver - Xavier Hutchinson ($3,900)
I had to save somewhere, and here is a spot I saved at with Hutchinson.
He's averaging 7.1 fantasy points per game, so he's got a bit of value. Hutchinson scored 16.8 points in his last game, with two touchdowns powering that mark.
If Hutchinson can steal another score, or just put together a surprise showing, he could be the player who takes my lineup over the top.
Tight End - Dalton Schultz ($3,600)
Schultz was another salary-saving lineup pick for me. He's averaging 7.1 fantasy points per game this season.
He does have a pretty good matchup, so I could see him serving as the team's No. 2 receiving target after Nico Collins.
Really, I just need Hutchinson or Schultz to score and Collins not to, and this lineup will be in good shape to compete for a top-end score.
Flex - Sam LaPorta ($4,300)
Another Lion, but I promise he's the last. Really, the only real fantasy asset I missed on was Jameson Williams.
LaPorta is averaging 11.7 fantasy points per game and has 16.5 and 20.2 over the past two weeks, so he's trending up.
Unless Williams does a lot of damage, I'm extremely covered if the Lions' offense is moving the ball and putting up points.
D/ST - Seahawks DST ($3,000)
I went with the best fantasy D/ST in the Seahawks, who average 9.5 fantasy points per contest.
I like their matchup the best of the night, so it makes sense to include them. A couple takeaways or a handful of sacks, and a pretty low point total allowed would make me a happy DFS owner.
Final Thoughts
This lineup is really heavy on the Lions, but for good reason. I see that as the higher-scoring game of the two played tonight. Tampa Bay will have good fantasy assets too, but I think things are spread around more, so I decided to take the Lions' core offensive players instead.
If the Lions' offense flops tonight, there's no chance this lineup will make any noise.
I'm going to need stellar fantasy outings from St. Brown, Smith-Njigba and Gibbs, and then good, or surprise, outings from Goff, Montgomery and LaPorta.
My make-or-break guys are probably Hutchinson, Schultz and the Seahawks DST.
It's not maybe the most appealing lineup on paper, but I feel it's the best chance for a high-end fantasy score. Let's see if it delivers!
