We went over some fantasy basketball waiver wire/streaming options in the weekly projections and daily streaming stories, but here, we will go over more traditional waiver wire options at the start of a new fantasy week.

Check back later in the week for more waiver wire stories!

Should You Add Pelle Larsson?

Larsson is up a whopping 12.9% so far. He sits at 22.97% overall, so that's a notable increase.

He returned from a five-game absence on December 26, then played again on December 27. In those games, Larsson combined for 37 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and one steal and block.

Those are really good numbers, so a big increase was bound to happen. For the season, he's averaging 9.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks over 22.4 minutes in his 18 starts and 26 games played overall.

He played 27 and 30 minutes in his first two games back, and if that keeps up, his averages could increase over time. Larsson is worth a short-term add in deeper leagues, at least until his numbers drop. It's possible he does enough to keep rostering in a lot of those leagues, so don't immediately drop him if you add him as a streamer.

With Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo dealing with injuries, the chance for other Miami players to step up is there. Utilize guys like Larsson while you can, but be ready to move off them after the stars return and the role player's numbers start regressing.

Should You Add Moussa Diabate?

Diabate has been added in 9.05% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 48.65%.

He has started the past two games for the Hornets, and with his production in those games, Diabate might continue starting. He's combined for 22 points, 30 rebounds, four assists and one block in those two contests.

Diabate is averaging 8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals over 30 games and four starts. He's played 22.7 minutes a night and is shooting 62.8% from the floor so far.

Ryan Kalkbrenner and Mason Plumlee are among the Hornets injured right now, so Diabate has a chance to play more minutes, which gives him double-double upside.

I liked adding him in all deeper leagues at the end of last week, and definitely would be doing that now. At least treat him as a deep-league streamer, but hold him until his production or minutes fade.

I like Diabate as a standard league streaming option right now, so also consider adding him in those leagues. If he keeps delivering, there's a chance he gets scooped up in standard leagues for a stretch, so keep an eye on him if you aren't quite ready to add him yet.

Should You Add Bilal Coulibaly?

Coulibaly is up 8.42% and he is now owned in 54.73% of leagues overall.

Coulibaly's season has been marred by missed time. He's played in three games in a row, and delivered his best production in those contests.

He's averaging 16.3 points, 7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2 steals and 1.3 blocks over 26 minutes in that three-game stretch. Coulibaly is shooting 45.2% overall in those games, along with a 25% clip from 3-point land.

When he's healthy and playing regularly, Coulibaly can be a good fantasy asset. He's showing some of that value of late, and making a good case to be added in a good amount of fantasy leagues.

I like adding him in all deeper leagues, even if you treat him more like a streaming option. At least roster him in deeper leagues until his value drops off consistently, or he misses more games.

I like streaming him in some standard leagues, and maybe even adding him to some rosters depending on the end of your bench. Coulibaly has some long-term value, albeit while also being a risky pickup given his history of missed games.

You might as well take advantage of things while he's healthy though.

Should You Add Aaron Nesmith?

Nesmith is rostered in 40.54% of leagues after a 7.65% increase today.

He too just returned from a long absence. Nesmith played on December 27, and was on the court last on November 13 before that.

Nesmith had nine points, five rebounds, two blocks and an assist over 19 minutes in his first game back.

He is averaging 14.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks over 29.5 minutes in his 12 games overall. His first game back was the first time he didn't start.

I'd expect him to ramp up over time, and eventually get his starting role back. That makes him worth adding in a good amount of fantasy leagues today.

He's a pretty solid deep-league option, and has been a standard league option as well. Indiana needs players to step up, so Nesmith could be a worthwhile standard league fantasy asset in time.

Keep an eye on him and be ready to scoop him up if his usage and numbers start to take off. At the very least, add him in deeper fantasy setups - he could be worth stashing if you have a roster spot to play with.

Should You Add Nikola Jovic?

Jovic is up 7.49%, bringing his new overall mark to 15.54%.

Jovic returned over the weekend as well, playing games on December 26 and 27. He had played just 12 seconds in the six games before that.

Jovic combined for 29 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and three assists in his first two games back. Much like Larsson, he looked good while taking on more, so he's worth an add.

I like him best in deeper leagues, and think that's where he will top out, unless the Heat lose a couple big-time players for a long period of time.

Jovic has the chance to stick as a pretty nice fantasy asset, especially if he can stick at 20+ minutes a night. He could be added in deeper leagues in a hurry if his numbers keep up, so don't be afraid to add him now if you like his outlook and have the roster space to make the move.
