While you were preoccupied by NFL football yesterday, Scottie Barnes had a huge game for the Raptors: 23 points, 25 rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals in a 141-127 overtime win over the Golden State Warriors.

If it weren't for guys like Jokic doing this kind of thing semi-regularly, we would be amazed by that kind of performance. Barnes might not be considered a top-tier superstar yet, but with his team fourth in the Eastern Conference, he has a chance to show that he can lead a championship contender.

Let's look at streaming players from three NBA teams with good matchups on Monday. We will focus on the guys who get on the court and are widely available in fantasy leagues, able to be picked up. Most stats are from NBA.com.

Dallas Mavericks @ Portland Trail Blazers

Portland plays at the fifth-fastest pace and has the 10th-worst defensive rating. They are on the border of our target group on defense, but their rating is less than one point from the bottom six, showing that they are still a low-level defensive team.

The Mavericks have the ninth-best defensive rating but the third-worst offensive rating, feeling the absences of Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis (and that MVP candidate that they traded last season). Dallas is likely to see things get worse before they get better.

Guard

Christie plays 24.4 minutes per game and scores 11.4 points, but he doesn't add a lot else statistically, limiting his fantasy value. Nembhard is at 8.1 points and 5.3 assists, lower-level numbers that keep him off the fantasy radar until he starts getting more minutes.

Forward

Marshall is the best streamer from the Mavericks, averaging 28.4 minutes, 13.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game; I like him in this matchup. Thompson scores about 11 points and makes about three three-pointers per game. He doesn't add much else, but he can help a little if you need more in those areas.

Center

Anthony Davis is questionable for this game. If he plays, both Gafford and Powell lose most of their fantasy value. If Davis misses the game, then Gafford is in line to start, though he doesn't put up many stats and has only played 20 minutes once this month. There's not a ton of value for either player.

New York Knicks @ New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans play at the ninth-fastest pace and have the fourth-worst defensive rating. At 8-25, New Orleans has the worst record in the Western Conference and third worst in the entire league.

The Knicks are again in position to contend, currently sitting second in the East with the best point differential in the conference. New York has the fourth-best offensive rating while sitting in the middle in defensive rating.

Guard

McBride hasn't played since December 7. He is questionable here, but there's a lot of risk even if he does get on the court. If he is out again, Clarkson and Kolek will handle the backup guard minutes. Josh Hart is out too, leaving even more opportunities.

McBride has scored 11.6 points per game and made close to three three-pointers, making him a decent streamer. Clarkson is at 10.4 points per game but doesn't do much else, and Kolek is a limited player, off the fantasy radar.

Forward

Diawara played 16 minutes in New York's last game, racking up five points and five rebounds. He doesn't get on the court enough to be a real fantasy player right now.

Center

  • None

Mitchell Robinson was ruled out of this game, leaving no one of streaming note at center.

Phoenix Suns @ Washington Wizards

Washington plays at the eighth-fastest pace and holds the worst defensive rating in the league. The Wizards' net rating (difference between offensive and defensive rating) is a league-worst negative-12.4; no other team is worse than negative-9.5, and only one team has a higher positive rating (Oklahoma City at plus-13.6).

The Suns are one of seven teams with a positive point differential in the Western Conference. They are just outside the top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating, so while Phoenix probably isn't a real contender, they have been surprisingly competitive.

Guard

Grayson Allen is out, so there is a little extra value for these backup guards. Gillespie is the better fantasy player, averaging 28.3 minutes, 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.9 three-pointers per game. He's a valuable streamer with the great matchup today.

Goodwin is coming off a game in which he had 16 points and nine rebounds, but he's usually a lower-level contributor. Gillespie is the much better option between the two.

Forward

Brooks is owned in just under half of leagues, bordering on being a streamer, but he still has enough availability. Brooks averages 21.4 points per game but doesn't offer much else; he's a high-level streamer today.

O'Neale averages around 10 points and five rebounds per game, OK low-level production. Dunn has been out injured, but even if he returns here, he is lower statistically than O'Neale.

Center

Ighodaro is just a low-level backup player. If Mark Williams ever suffers an injury, Ighodaro could get a little extra run, but for now, he's off the fantasy radar.
