Waiver Wire Adds

There are just two NBA games again tonight, so a lot of the waiver wire pickups are from those games. The Suns and Thunder will battle in one game, while the Spurs and Lakers square off in the other.

LA's Rui Hachimura is the top waiver wire add of the day - he's up 12.37% and is now sitting at 52.49% overall.

Hachimura is averaging 14 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks over 33.1 minutes per game so far. He's started all 22 contests and is shooting 53.6% overall and 46.2% from 3-point land.

Outside the obvious high-end fantasy talents, Hachimura is right up there with the most fantasy points among the other Laker players, so it makes sense to be adding him today.

Marcus Smart is another Laker on the rise. Jake LaRavia and Jaxson Hayes are also among the 25 most-added players on Wednesday. Smart is up 4.37%, while LaRavia has been added in 2.72% of leagues and Hayes is up 1.98%.

OKC's Luguentz Dort and Aaron Wiggins are the No. 2 and 3 waiver wire adds of the day. Dort is up to 21.55% overall after an 11.37% increase, while Wiggins has been added in 9.75% of leagues and is rostered in 33.7% overall.

Over 15 games (all starts), Dort is averaging 8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1 steal and 0.4 blocks over 29.1 minutes. He is shooting 38.2% overall and is 31.2% from deep.

Wiggins has started five of the 13 games he's appeared in. He's averaging 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 steals over 25.4 minutes. Wiggins is shooting 48.6% overall and is 43.4% from 3-point land.

Jaylin Williams (up 4.55%), Cason Wallace (4.26%), Kenrich Williams (3.31%) and Alex Caruso (3.22%) are the other OKC players on the rise going into tonight's game.

San Antonio has Nos. 4-7 on the waiver wire list, plus Nos. 22 and 24.

Dylan Harper is up 9.19%, while Luke Kornet has been added in 7.4% of leagues. Julian Champagnie is up 7.21% today. Harrison Barnes has been scooped up in 4.67% of leagues.

Devin Vassell has been added in 2.08% of leagues today, while Keldon Johnson is up 1.91%.

The Phoenix waiver wire pickups aren't as highly coveted, with Royce O'Neale topping the list down at the 16th-highest pickup for the day. He's up 2.74%.

Oso Ighodaro (up 2.57%) and Ryan Dunn (2.25%) are the other Suns on the rise going into tonight's game.

Aside from the players suiting up tonight, there's a handful of other players on the rise in fantasy basketball leagues.

New Orleans' Herbert Jones is up 3.38% today, which brings his overall percentage to 48.62.

Brooklyn's Egor Demin has been added in 2.84% of leagues, while Boston's Anfernee Simons is up 2.83%. Demin is owned in 23.2% of leagues, while Simons sits at 66.3%.

Denver's Christian Braun is up 2.65% and is rostered in 46.96% of leagues overall now.

Milwaukee's Bobby Portis sits at 52.49% owned after a 2.19% increase today.

Toronto's Collin Murray-Boyles has been added in 1.84% of leagues and is owned in 6.63% overall now.

Drop Candidates

Several of the drop candidates are players who suited up on Tuesday, but I'm still going to mention them in this section.

The Knicks beat the Raptors, while the Magic knocked off the Heat.

Toronto's Sandro Mamukelashvili is the top drop, down 13.5%. He only had two points and rebounds, plus one assist and steal over his 15 minutes on Tuesday.

Jamal Shead and Jakob Poeltl are down 4.3 and 3.7 percent, respectively, for the Raptors.

Shead had a nice game on Tuesday, posting 18 points, eight assists, three rebounds and one steal. Him being dropped just shows that his own percentage was up because he was a streaming option.

Poeltl had 10 points, nine boards, three assists and two steals over 24 minutes on Tuesday. That's solid fantasy production, but he's underwhelmed most of the season. Poeltl is still at 87% owned, but that mark will likely keep slowly falling as the season progresses.

New York's Jordan Clarkson is down 7.6% today, while teammate Mitchell Robinson was let go in 6.9% of leagues. Miles McBride is down 3.6% for the Knicks.

Clarkson played 26 minutes on Tuesday, delivering 12 points and three rebounds. Robinson had two points, five rebounds, four assists and one block and steal in just 15 minutes of play. McBride missed the game with an ankle sprain.

All three are just streaming options, so it shouldn't surprise you to see them being dropped today.

Orlando's Anthony Black was dropped in 7.7% of leagues, while teammate Goga Bitadze is down 6.6% today.

Black finished with 10 points, seven assists, three rebounds and one block and steal over 34 minutes. I like the idea of rostering him in all deeper leagues, and he's a good standard league streamer.

Bitadze provided seven points, six rebounds, two blocks and one assist over 17 minutes. He's just a deep-league streaming option, so feel free to drop him if you want to pick someone else up.

Miami's Simone Fontecchio is down 10.1% today, while teammate Jaime Jaquez Jr. was let go in 8.1% of leagues. Miami's Nikola Jovic is down 5.7%.

Fontecchio played only seven minutes on Tuesday, tallying just two assists - nothing else. He's a deep-league streaming option only, and clearly not a very good one.

Jaquez totaled 10 points and three rebounds and assists over 24 minutes. He is a good deep-league option, and has been a standard league asset too, but has fallen off of late. It's no surprise to see him continue to be dropped in so many leagues.

Jovic did not play on Tuesday. He can be safely dropped in just about every league.

Outside players who played on Tuesday, a few other players are being let go today. Those players are: New Orleans' Jose Alvarado and Bryce McGowens, Sacramento's Maxime Raynaud and Washington's Bilal Coulibaly.

Alvarado is down 4.7% today. He's been a very solid fantasy asset of late, so I don't like the idea of dropping him, especially because he's owned in just deeper leagues (or should be). Look into adding him in your deeper league, and possibly streaming him in a standard league.

Raynaud is down 4.4% today. He has been a big waiver wire add over the past couple weeks because of some solid fantasy production. At 49% rostered, it's possible some standard league owners are accounting for his drop percentage today, which is fine. I'd keep rostering him in deeper leagues.

McGowens was also on the rise after a couple big games, but some inconsistent fantasy production justifies dropping him today. He's really probably just worth streaming in really deep leagues at this point.

Coulibaly is down another 3.7% today. He's out with an oblique injury, so it's fair to see him being let go today. Unless you have an IR spot to stash him in, waiting several weeks for his return only makes sense in really deep fantasy leagues. Look elsewhere for help in the meantime.
