Fantasy Basketball Adds and Drops for Tuesday, December 2: Ryan Nembhard, Keldon Johnson, Cameron Johnson and More
Going over the most-added and most-dropped fantasy basketball players today.
I usually split up my stories on fantasy basketball waiver wire options and drop candidates, but I wanted to combine the two in today's article.
Here is the waiver wire story I did on Monday. This is the first drop candidate story I've done in the seventh week of the fantasy basketball season.
Let's get right to it, starting with waiver wire adds.

Waiver Wire Adds
The two biggest waiver wire adds of the day are Dallas' Ryan Nembhard and Washington's Marvin Bagley III.
Nembhard is up 12.14% so far and now is rostered in 18.24% of fantasy leagues.
He's taken on a bigger role of late for the Mavericks, so it's easy to see why he's on the rise. Nembhard posted a double-double (28 points, 10 assists) in his last game, so that's another big reason why he's on the rise.
Bagley has been added in 11.3% of fantasy leagues and now is owned in 18.01% overall.
His role has expanded over his past two appearances for the Wizards. Bagley has responded with 35 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block over those two contests.
Bagley has been a decent fantasy asset in the past, so he's worth the big own percentage increase today.
Both Bagley and Nembhard are better deep-league adds though. It would take a week or more of improved numbers to get them into the standard league conversation.
San Antonio's Keldon Johnson, Cleveland's Jaylon Tyson and Golden State's Brandin Podziemski round out the top-five waiver wire adds of the day. Oklahoma City's Ajay Mitchell is also on the rise by over 5%, so let's cap this section by talking about that quartet of players.
Johnson is up 6.64% today and sits at 63.35% overall.
Johnson scored 22 points in his last appearance, and has been in double figures in seven straight. He's added at least six rebounds in those contests, which results in a pretty solid fantasy score overall.
With Victor Wembanyama out, Johnson has taken on more for the Spurs. Until Wemby is back, Johnson is a pretty solid fantasy asset, and that's why he's working into standard leagues now.
Tyson has been added in 6.39% of leagues and is rostered in 49.07% overall now.
Tyson went off for 27 points and 11 rebounds in his last game, and has been rising as a fantasy asset over the past few weeks already. His last appearance was probably his fantasy ceiling, but he's at least worth owning in all deeper leagues right now, and he's probably worth some standard league adds too.
Podziemski is rostered in 68.32% of leagues after a 5.52% increase today.
He has scored in double figures in four of the past five games, and continues to fill up the stat sheet otherwise. When he's producing like this, he's worth a roster spot in all deeper leagues, and a handful of standard leagues as well.
I don't see him ever getting to 100% owned, or anywhere near it, but in stretches, he can be a very useful fantasy asset in standard leagues.
Mitchell is up 5.18% and now is owned in 83.23% of leagues overall.
He had 17 points and five assists and rebounds in his last game, and played 28 minutes, so he's back on the rise after being dropped in a bunch of leagues of late. Keep an eye on him, but I'd need to see several down showings before letting him go.
He's helped when the Thunder are dealing with injuries, so if he's available in your standard league, keep him in mind for streaming purposes.
Drop Candidates
There's also six players being dropped in over 5% of leagues, so let's highlight them in this section.
Detroit's Jaden Ivey is down 9.7% and is now rostered in 37% of leagues overall.
Since returning to the court in late November, Ivey hasn't topped 15 minutes in a game. It's led to lackluster fantasy outings, so it's no surprise to see him being dropped.
Until his minutes and production rises, Ivey is only worth owning in really deep fantasy leagues.
Denver's Cameron Johnson is down 6.5%, which brings his overall percentage to 76.
He has only combined for 25 points over the past two games, and doesn't usually stuff the stat sheet enough to overcome those down scoring games. Johnson is still playing a ton, so he's worth keeping in some standard leagues and all deeper leagues, but he needs to get things going soon to avoid becoming just a deep-league asset.
Utah's Isaiah Collier is owned in 21% of leagues after a 6.3% decrease today.
He only has logged 28 minutes over the past two contests, and he's not done much in that time on the court. At this point, he's not trustworthy even in really deep leagues.
I'm not giving up on him completely, but Collier needs to play and produce a lot more before he gets re-added in deeper leagues.
Memphis' Vince Williams Jr. is rostered in 39% of leagues, which is down 5.4%.
He failed to make a shot in his last game, and has only been in double figures as a scorer once over the past four contests. He does enough else on the court for some decent fantasy value still, but he needs to score a lot more, and do it consistently in order to be worth holding in fantasy leagues.
Williams is only worth deep-league ownership right now, and if he doesn't pick it up soon, he will just be dropped in more and more leagues.
Detroit's Duncan Robinson is down to 40% owned after a 5.4% decrease today. He is dealing with a sprained right ankle and missed the team's game on Monday - he is questionable for Wednesday's game.
Robinson has been a pretty solid fantasy asset this season, even with most of his fantasy value coming in the form of scoring points. He chips in enough rebounds, assists, steals and blocks to be a pretty well-rounded fantasy asset.
I get wanting to drop him if he's not playing, but he's a pretty good fantasy asset, and it doesn't seem like he's going to be out super long. I'd keep stashing him on the bench of deeper leagues, and then enjoy his fantasy production when he's cleared to play again.
Miami's Jaime Jaquez Jr. is the final drop candidate we will be discussing today. He's down to 84% owned after being dropped in 5.2% of leagues.
He missed time with an injury and then played just 20 minutes in last night's game. Jaquez provided four points and rebounds, five assists and a block in his time on the court.
It's no surprise that his role and usage was down after coming back from an injury. Overall this season, Jaquez has been a pretty solid fantasy asset.
I'd be doing my best with him to stash him on my fantasy roster, even in standard leagues. He typically does enough every night to be worth a standard league spot, and he should return to that level of player when he gets past this injury.
If you need that roster spot now, it'd be tougher to keep holding Jaquez, but I'd do my best to keep rostering him.
