October 31 Fantasy Basketball Streamers: Gary Trent Jr., Jeremy Sochan, Steven Adams and More
Five NBA teams with good matchups on Thursday and the players on those teams who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
Finding streamers for the next day is a late-night project early in the year. There have only been nine days in the season to this point, so every day’s stats are vitally important to the story of the season. When we get to January, though, and there have been over 100 days of the season, there aren’t any major changes to miss from one day’s statistics.
With only four games on the schedule for Thursday, we can take a little deeper look at each team to determine if they can be targeted with streamers. Some teams are middling and worth playing against when the schedule is light, but others are solid teams who shouldn’t be tested on any day.
Let’s look at the eight teams in action today and identify those we can target with opposing players. I’ll then list the players for the streaming teams who are widely available in fantasy leagues. Team and individual stats are from NBA.com.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Memphis Grizzlies
We’ll start off with a game where we would target both teams on a regular day also; what luck! Milwaukee has played at the sixth-fastest pace and holds the ninth-worst defensive rating, while Memphis is the fourth-fastest team and has the eighth-worst defense.

- Gary Trent Jr. – Trent has played the third-most minutes per game on the team. He’s not producing a ton, but he’s on the court.

Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks
There aren’t any good matchups in this one. Houston is an especially bad team to target, as they rank 25th in pace and have the eighth-best defensive rating. Dallas is 10th in defense and 17th in pace, so they are a middling target who produces some low-level streamers.
Use these guys as your last options today, not good fantasy streamers.

San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz
Utah is one of our everyday targets, as they rank ninth in pace and have the fifth-worst defensive rating. The Spurs are 27th in pace and 12th in defense. San Antonio was a team to target last year, but I was skeptical that would continue to be the case. Sure enough, they have moved off the target list and are now a bad matchup in fantasy basketball.

- Jeremy Sochan – Sochan is averaging the most minutes, shot attempts, shot makes, and points per game on the Spurs. He's probably a keeper.
- Harrison Barnes
- Julian Champagnie

Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Clippers
This one is easy: Both the Clippers and Suns play at slower-than-average paces and have top-six defensive ratings. Neither team here is a good target, and both should be avoided with streamers.
