Pierre-Luc Dubois | Fantasy Outlook
Pierre-Luc Dubois remains questionable with illness ahead of Canadiens matchup
Pierre-Luc Dubois enters Wednesday's clash listed as questionable while battling an illness that already sidelined him on October 11 against Seattle. That uncertainty has dropped his fantasy start rate down to 16%, even though he collected four points over his first six contests. If cleared, the 28-year-old center steps into an advantageous spot as Washington (3–3–0) hosts the Montreal Canadiens (3–2–1) at Capital One Arena. The Capitals are slight home favorites in an expected higher-scoring environment, and Montreal turns to netminder Jakub Dobes (confirmed).
With his availability up in the air, our daily projection reflects a low point expectation alongside light shot volume and minimal physical contributions. For the broader week, Washington plays three games in total, leaving only one contest remaining on Saturday after tonight. Our models project Dubois for roughly ~1 point and around 2.8 fantasy points across this three-game stretch, which underscores his muted near-term outlook until he demonstrates full health. Given the heavy risk of a scratch or limited ice time, fantasy managers should look elsewhere tonight. Today’s action: Bench.
