Rasmus Sandin | Fantasy Outlook
Sandin remains sidelined with knee injury as Capitals visit Lightning
Rasmus Sandin remains sidelined and out of action as the Washington Capitals visit the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at Benchmark International Arena. The 26-year-old defenseman continues to recover from a torn ACL in his right knee that landed him on injured reserve, leaving Washington without his secondary puck-moving presence. The Capitals (1-0) enter the contest as road underdogs in what shapes up as a higher-scoring environment, with Tampa Bay turning to Andrei Vasilevskiy (confirmed) in net. Without Sandin in the lineup, Washington will rely on other options to anchor their blueline depth.
With Sandin unavailable, our daily projection naturally anticipates no fantasy output, forecasting zero points, shots, or blocked shots for the blueliner. Looking at the weekly schedule, Washington finishes its two-game week tonight, and our weekly data projects no fantasy scoring while he works back to full health. Fantasy managers can safely ignore him in active lineups until he resumes skating and nears game readiness. Leave him stashed on injured reserve if league slots allow. Today’s action: Bench.
