It's been a couple days since we went over NFL transactions, so let's do just that here. We will discuss real-world and fantasy football implications of every move.

Here's the link to the last NFL-related story we did. Through links there and in other stories, you can find all our NFL coverage since the start of free agency (last Monday).

Eagles Re-Sign Goedert

Tight end Dallas Goedert is back in Philadelphia on a one-year deal.

He's been a complementary piece for the Eagles over the years, and should continue to serve that role in 2026. He has not played in more than 15 games in a single season since his rookie year in 2018, so that's a bit concerning for him.

In 15 games last year, Goedert had 591 receiving yards over 60 receptions and 82 targets. He erupted for 11 touchdowns, while having just 35 for his career.

It was a banner year for Goedert, and those touchdowns made him a pretty good fantasy asset. He'd been at five scores or less in every other year of his career, so this looks like an outlier performance.

The 31-year-old still has some gas in the tank, so he'll still be a viable fantasy asset for a bit, and definitely in 2026. I probably would be most confident in him in a deeper league, but if Philly doesn't add more pass catchers, he could start as a standard league and stick as one all throughout the upcoming season.

We'll update you on Goedert and his outlook as the 2026 season approaches, but for now, he looks like a standard league option right away.

Mooney Lands with Giants

New York added a receiver, getting Darnell Mooney on a one-year deal.

The 28-year-old wideout has been in the NFL for six years now, splitting time between the Bears and Falcons. He has 17 total scores, but had just one across 15 games in 2025.

Mooney finished with 443 yards across 32 receptions and 72 targets. It was a disappointing season for him, so it makes sense that he's going to be playing elsewhere in 2026. He is still in the prime of his career, so we'll see if he breaks out with the Giants.

He has a chance to start as the team's slot receiver in 2026. He will have to fight the newly-signed Calvin Austin III for that role.

New York is led by Malik Nabers, of course, and has Darius Slayton as another outside wide receiver. Isaiah Hodgins and Beaux Collins are the other top depth wideouts at this point, so Mooney has a chance to settle in as the team's No. 2 tight end behind Nabers, or be a good No. 3 option behind Nabers and Slayton.

New York has Isaiah Likely and Theo Johnson at tight end, so there's a handful of notable pass catchers now. Only Nabers is a true alpha, but all those options could leave guys like Mooney struggling to consistently deliver.

I see Mooney starting as a deep-league fantasy option in 2026. He could work into standard leagues if he's somewhat consistent with his production though, so keep him in mind.

Titans Drop Sneed

Tennessee decided to drop cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, which saves $11.4 million in cap space.

The 29-year-old only played 12 combined games over his two years in Tennessee, so his release isn't super surprising. He had a couple big seasons with the Chiefs in the four seasons before that.

He should get another opportunity with another team, and maybe he could be a decent IDP option if he lands in a place where he'll play a lot. Sneed just needs to stay healthy then, which might be easier said than done at this point.

Anyways, after Tennessee added Alontae Taylor, Cor'Dale Flott and Joshua Williams in free agency, the writing was on the wall for Sneed. He would have just been a depth option going into 2026, and a pricey one at that, so Tennessee decided to move on.

I think the Titans' defense is better off now than it ended the 2025 season at, especially with all the signings it's made in free agency. Losing Sneed hurts, but Taylor and Flott will hold things down well. Now we just wait to see where Sneed lands.

Colts Pick Up Owens

Jonathan Owens landed a one-year deal with Indianapolis.

He's projected to be safety depth at this point. Hunter Wohler and Cam Bynum are the projected starters. Owens and recently signed Juanyeh Thomas are some depth options.

Owens has 35 starts over his 82-game NFL career, which spans seven years. He had 28 of those starts between 2022-23, but only five starts in 34 games since.

He adds a nice depth option in Indy, but could move into a bigger role if he overtakes Wohler, or gets thrust into a starting role because of injuries. Owens likely won't be a big fantasy asset unless he's starting, but I felt that his signing at least deserved a little writeup.

Walker Signs with Carolina

Rasheed Walker signed a one-year deal with the Panthers.

He was a seventh-round pick of the Packers in 2022. Walker played just one game in his rookie season. In the three seasons since though, Walker has started 48 of the 51 contests.

The offensive lineman will be a starting option with Carolina, even though some are projecting him to be a backup right now. Ikem Ekwonu, Damien Lewis, Luke Fortner, Robert Hunt and Taylor Moton are the projected starters at this time, with Walker among the depth options.

Ekwonu is coming off a major injury, so the signing makes a lot of sense. If Walker shines in a starting role in 2026, he could earn himself a bigger payday for 2027 and beyond. We'll see if he gets a chance and helps the Panthers' o-line out.
