2023 NFL Mock Draft 6.0: Bryce Young Surpasses C.J. Stroud!

Mark Morales-Smith Apr 14th 5:18 AM EDT.

Draft season is here, and we are on to our sixth mock draft of the year. In this draft, we will now be mocking with trades. This is when things start to get crazy and all 31 picks as currently slated may end up shuffled. We promised to begin adding trades moving forward once we got into April, and the calendar has flipped.

1 Carolina Panthers

QB Bryce Young, Alabama

We finally moved Young up to the top spot. We are still skeptical, but reports and Vegas odds all point to this being the pick for Carolina.

2 Houston Texans

QB CJ Stroud, Ohio State

The Texans get the safest quarterback in the draft with the second pick.

3 Las Vegas Raiders

QB Anthony Richardson, Florida

The Raiders trade up and set their franchise back another half of a decade with a high-upside project who will be forced into action way too early when Jimmy G inevitably gets injured before Halloween.

4 Indianapolis Colts

QB Hendon Hooker, Tennessee

The Colts have to go with a QB here and it would be inexplicable to take anyone else over Hooker.

5 Seattle Seahawks

DL Jalen Carter, Georgia

Carter has bounced around our draft board a lot because of off-field issues, but Seattle is a team that is willing to take a risk on a guy and Carter is talented enough to warrant the risk.

6 Detroit Lions

EDGE Will Anderson, Alabama

The Lions need help on defense and they go with the best player available here.

7 Arizona Cardinals

CB Christian Gonzalez Oregon

We still believe Gonzalez will be the first CB drafted in a stacked class and Arizona will draft him and fill one of their many holes.

8 Atlanta Falcons

OT Peter Skoronski, Northwestern

The Falcons have made it clear they want to build their offense in the trenches and this is a great piece to build with.

9 Chicago Bears

EDGE Tyree Wilson, Texas Tech

Despite a spending spree this offseason the Bears still have plenty of work to do. They are going to start here with a high-end edge rusher.

10 New England Patriots

WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State

The Pats trade up here to jump the Titans and take the top-rated wide receiver in the draft.

11 Washington Commanders

CB Cam Smith, South Carolina

With JSN off the board, the Titans trade their pick to the Commanders and they grab Cam Smith.

12 Houston Texans

DL Siaki Ika, Baylor

The Texans need a lot of help stopping the run so they grab themselves a very big man to help out.

13 New York Jets

OT Paris Johnson Jr. Ohio State

We have given the Jets their pick back this week as it's been reported that if the Packers do get a first it will be in 2024. Here they grab some much-needed O-line help.

14 Philadelphia Eagles

RB Bijan Robinson, Texas

The Eagles move back and still get Robinson who will make their offense impossibly dangerous.

15 Green Bay Packers

EDGE Myles Murphy, Clemson

The Packers add some much-needed help off the edge.

16 Tennessee Titans

WR Quentin Johnston, TCU

The Titans need weapons and grab arguably the best wideout in this draft class.

17 Pittsburgh Steelers

CB Joey Porter Jr. Penn State

We have had Joey Porter Jr going to the Steelers all of the draft season and we are still sticking with it.

18 Detroit Lions

DL Bryan Bresee, Clemson

After going with the best player available earlier in the draft the Lions now address a crucial need.

19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

CB Devon Witherspoon, Illinois

The depth of elite corners in this draft is ridiculous. Witherspoon is a top-10 pick most years.

20 Tennessee Titans

QB Will Levis Kentucky

With Levis still on the board, Tennessee uses some of the draft capital they received earlier to move back up into the first and grab him.

21 Los Angeles Chargers

OL O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida

The Chargers build up the interior of their offensive line here.

22 Baltimore Ravens

DB Brian Branch, Alabama

Branch is the perfect fit for a Ravens secondary that is in need of re-tooling.

23 Minnesota Vikings

EDGE Lukas Van Ness, Iowa

The Vikings have to add more pressure off the edge and grab Van Ness to do just that.

24 Jacksonville Jaguars

OT Broderick Jones, Georgia

The Jags must protect their franchise quarterback and will grab an excellent OT here to do so.

25 New York Giants

WR Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee

The Giants gave Daniel Jones the bag and now they have to give him some weapons.

26 Dallas Cowboys

S Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M

Dallas needs to add an additional safety to their secondary so they can continue running their three-safety sets.

27 Buffalo Bills

LB Trenton Simpson, Clemson

The Bills lost a key piece in Tremaine Edmunds and will add Simpson in hopes of replacing him.

28 Cincinnati Bengals

CB Deonte Banks, Maryland

This is a case of the rich getting richer with the Bengals stealing a stud corner and filling one of their biggest needs.

29 New Orleans Saints

OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma

The Saints invested heavily in Derek Carr and here they take a step to protect their investment.

30 Philadelphia Eagles

EDGE Nolan Smith, Georgia

The Eagles need to add a pass rusher to add to their rotation and groom him to be a future star.

31 Kansas City Chiefs

WR Zay Flowers, Boston College

The Chiefs need to add a weapon and no player in this draft fits what they want to do more than Flowers.
