Should You Add Isaiah Stewart?
Stewart has been added in 6.82% of leagues and is up to 52.23% overall.
Stewart went off for 26 points, 14 rebounds and four assists and blocks over nearly 34 minutes in the team's last game. He started for the first time this season as well, while playing over 25 minutes for the first time.
He took on a bigger role with Tobias Harris out of the lineup. Harris is not expected to play for the Pistons in their Wednesday game, so Stewart could have another big game again.
He's a better deep-league asset when the team is at full strength, and he's not worth owning in all those deeper leagues. Today with Harris out, Stewart is worth streaming in deeper leagues, and even some standard leagues, as the stats from his last game shows.
Stewart is averaging 11.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.3 blocks and 0.3 steals over 23.7 minutes a game. It's a pretty well-rounded game, but with restricted minutes, Stewart is usually only worth deep-league fantasy action.
Should You Add Davion Mitchell?
Mitchell is rostered in 34.95% of leagues after a 6.77% increase.
Mitchell has played over 30 minutes in each of his past two games - he had only gone over 30 minutes once in the first five games.
He has scored at least eight points in six of his seven games so far. Mitchell has six or more assists in all but one game.
Mitchell is averaging 8.9 points, 7.7 assists, 2.6 rebounds. 1.1 steals and 0.1 blocks over 29 minutes so far. He's shooting 45.6% overall, 35% from 3-point land and is 3-of-9 on his free throws.
There's enough in his stats for some deep-league fantasy attention. He plays enough to be a standard league threat, but doesn't deliver enough.
I think the potential is there, so everyone needs to keep an eye on him. Right now, he's just worth ownership and starts in deeper leagues though.
Should You Add Dennis Schroder?
Schroder is rostered in 84.41% of leagues after a 2.64 increase.
Outside two games, Schroder has been a steady performer in the early going for the Kings. He has scored 14 or more points in all but two games, while stuffing the stat sheet pretty well otherwise.
Over seven games and 230 minutes, Schroder has 104 points, 48 assists, 24 rebounds, 11 steals and two blocks. He's shooting 45.7% overall, just 29.4% from deep and is perfect on his 10 free throw attempts.
He's a pretty well-rounded fantasy asset right now, so he's worth some standard league ownership. I wouldn't say he's worth owning in 100% of leagues, and I'm not sure if he'll ever get there. In a pinch though, he can be a standard league streaming option pretty much every game this year, so keep him in mind if you ever have a need.
Should You Add Quentin Grimes?
Grimes is up 2.57% today, which brings his overall mark to 87.1%.
He's been a pretty steady fantasy asset in the early going. Across seven games and 222 minutes, Grimes has posted 119 points, 35 assists, 31 rebounds, nine steals and four blocks. He has 22 turnovers and 19 fouls so far.
Grimes is shooting 44% overall and 40.4% on his 3-point tries. He is 26-of-34 at the free-throw line.
Even with Jared McCain returning on Tuesday, Grimes still played 29 minutes off the bench for the Sixers. That's more than enough time to be a legit fantasy asset.
His own percentage is high, so he needs to keep delivering if he wants to stay at that percentage, or rise even more. Grimes will be a fantasy asset to watch all season, as his own percentage should rise and fall as he goes in and out of streaks. He should be rostered in all deeper leagues, and that's likely to remain the case all season.
Should You Add Max Christie?
Christie is owned in 18.28% of leagues, which is up from 8% at the start of the month.
He has quietly been delivering for the Mavericks. I'm actually surprised to see his own percentage so low after a quick glance at his stats.
Christie has started four of the team's seven games, with the starts coming over the past four contests. Across 212 minutes, he's posted 89 points, 20 assists, 17 rebounds, two blocks and one steal, while committing 12 fouls and eight turnovers.
He is shooting 54.5% overall, 64.7% from deep and is 10-of-13 on his free throws. His percentages are likely to drop as the season moves along, but he's definitely worth more fantasy attention right now.
He's played over 30 minutes in his four starts, so that's another positive for his fantasy outlook. Christie has scored in double figures in each of the past five games, and had nine points in the first two games of the season.
After not adding much early in the season, he's tallied 10 rebounds and 11 assists over the past two contests. If that continues, Christie will be worth rostering in a bunch of deeper leagues.
He's already worth adding in more deeper leagues, and he's worth tracking in case his recent stats can keep up. I don't see him getting into standard leagues, unless there's a long-term injury that Dallas is dealing with and Christie's playing time and usage goes way up.
Also keep in mind that the Mavericks are playing without Kyrie Irving right now - his return will impact Christie a bit. Dante Exum is another guard who is missing games, which is helping Christie out some.
Should You Add Derik Queen?
Queen is up 2.5% and he is now rostered in 9.68% of leagues.
He's been up and down early in his rookie season, but delivered his best fantasy showing on Tuesday. Queen delivered 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals over just 18 minutes of action off the bench.
This could be a turning point for Queen, who has come off the bench for all seven of the New Orleans' games. He has 56 points, 37 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals and four blocks so far.
The rookie is shooting 48.8% overall, hasn't made a 3-pointer across three tries and is 16-of-21 at the free-throw line.
Queen took advantage of his playing time on Tuesday, and that performance should earn him a bigger role going forward. Yves Missi missed Tuesday's game, and Zion Williamson is now out at least a week with an injury, so some extra opportunities will be there for Queen.
If you are looking for a deep-league streaming option at a big man spot, then Queen is a pretty solid option. After this performance, he is worth adding in more deeper league anyways.
There's a chance this was his breakout game. His role could increase, and remain big enough even with New Orleans at full health to make him a worthwhile fantasy asset going forward.
I was a fan of Queen coming into the season, and we might be witnessing the start of his breakout. Add him now if you don't want to miss out on him. Everyone needs to keep an eye on him in case Queen takes off.
