Should You Add Isaiah Jackson?
Jackson got a 11.6% boost today, bringing his overall mark to 23.3%.
Jackson tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and one assist and block over nearly 21 minutes in a start against the Bucks on Monday. He had nine points, 11 rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes in a start against the Hawks in the game before that, so he's trending up.
In six games and across 94 minutes overall, Jackson has tallied 34 points, 30 rebounds, five assists and two blocks, while committing 20 fouls and seven turnovers. He's shooting 44.4% overall, hasn't connected on one of his 12 3-pointers yet and is 10-of-11 at the free-throw line.
He's started all but one game, but only played over 20 minutes in the past two contests. Jackson looks to finally be settling in, although his role could change when the Pacers get healthier, but most of those injuries are to guards and forwards, not centers like Jackson is.
I wouldn't call him a must-add in deeper leagues, but he's definitely deserving of the big increase in own percentage today. If he continues to play 20+ minutes and remains a double-double threat, Jackson will continue to be added in more and more deeper leagues.
I don't see him getting into standard leagues, but you just never know, so don't write him off for good in those formats.
Should You Add Moussa Diabate?
Diabate is up 47.4% and sits at 40.91% overall.
He's had a pretty solid start to the season, scoring in double figures in five of seven games so far. Diabate has double-digit rebounds twice, and has been at nine or more boards four times.
Overall in seven games, he has 77 points, 50 rebounds, eight blocks, three assists and two steals over 141 minutes. Diabate has 16 fouls and four turnovers, while shooting 63.6% overall - he is 21-of-29 at the free-throw line.
He hasn't started a game yet, but has logged 20 or more minutes in four contests, while being at 18 and 19 minutes in two of the other three contests. Diabate mostly just provides points and rebounds, but he's done enough so far to earn some fantasy value.
With a high shooting percentage too, Diabate is a sneaky good fantasy option. I like adding him in deeper leagues, then keeping an eye on him for a possible standard league pickup down the road.
He'll likely need to play 24+ minutes and be a constant double-double threat to work into standard leagues, but I think he can get there for this Hornets' team.
Should You Add Collin Murray-Boyles?
Murray-Boyles is rostered in 18.75% of leagues after a 4.39% increase today.
The rookie is starting to find his footing after not playing in the first two contests for the Raptors. He has scored in double figures in four of his six games so far.
He has 53 points, 19 rebounds, eight assists, six steals and a block over 113 minutes, and he's started each of the past three contests. Murray-Boyles has 11 fouls and six turnovers so far.
The rookie is shooting 47.7% from the floor and is 46.2% from 3-point land. Murray-Boyles is 5-of-7 at the line.
Murray-Boyles has logged 20 or more minutes in all but one game, and in each of the past four. He played over 30 minutes in his last game.
His role could decrease when Jakob Poeltl returns, but I wouldn't think the Raptors would bury the rookie on the bench after some of the positive things he's done of late.
I don't see him being a big-time fantasy asset this season, but he's worth some deep-league adds at least, and could be a staple in those leagues with consistent production. He's an intriguing fantasy asset to watch.
Should You Add Ryan Dunn?
Dunn sits at 26.14% overall after a 4.33% increase.
Dunn has erupted for 30 points over his past two contests. He has 70 points over seven games overall. Dunn also has 45 rebounds, 12 assists and six rebounds and blocks over 168 minutes, and he's started every game.
The second-year player has logged 27 and 31 minutes the past two games, which is a big reason why he's on the rise. Dunn is shooting 52.7% overall, 32% from deep and is 4-of-6 on his free throws.
It's been a solid start to the season for Dunn, but if he continues to deliver like he has the past two games, he's going to take off as a fantasy asset. Some are already adding Dunn, and he could be owned in most deeper leagues with another week of strong play.
I think he will stop at being a deep-league asset, and I just don't see him becoming a standard league threat. He's being aided with injuries to Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green right now, so his value could fall off when those two are back in the mix.
Take advantage of things with Dunn until his usage and production falls off. It might take a long-term injury to a teammate to make him a year-long deep-league asset, so don't be afraid to drop him when things start turning against him.
Should You Add Wendell Carter Jr.?
Carter is up 4.28% and is now rostered in 67.05% of leagues overall.
Carter has been a pretty steady contributor to start the season, but has improved his scoring over the past two games, so it's easy to see why he's on the rise. He has 34 points and 20 rebounds over his past two contests.
In seven games overall, Carter has 79 points, 61 rebounds, 10 assists, six blocks and five steals over 196 minutes. He's started every game and has 30 fouls and 13 turnovers.
Carter is shooting 51% overall, 56.3% from 3-point land and is 20-of-29 on his free throws. He's scored at least eight points in every game, while having eight or more boards in all but one game.
On points and rebounds alone, Carter is a pretty solid fantasy asset. He's playing enough just about every night as well to give him a good fantasy ceiling.
His role could slightly be altered when Moritz Wagner plays, but even with him back, I see Carter as a pretty solid deep-league option on a daily basis. Right now, he's getting into standard leagues as a streaming option.
If he keeps delivering like he has the past couple nights, you can expect his own percentage to keep trickling up. If you don't believe in him in the long run, selling him now isn't the worst idea, but I like his fantasy outlook and would be happy to keep rostering him in deeper leagues, and that goes for all season.
Should You Add Jared McCain?
McCain is up 3.86% and sits at 43.75% as he prepares to make his season debut. He's expected to suit up for Tuesday's game.
He got in just 23 games a season ago, averaging 15.3 points, 2.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.7 steals over 25.7 minutes a game. He was at 46% overall from the field, 38.3% from deep and was an 87.5% free-throw shooter.
McCain returns to a crowded guard room led by Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. Throw in Quentin Grimes and others and it seems like it could be a bit tougher for McCain to find consistent playing time - and that doesn't even factor in Paul George and other injured Sixers' players.
McCain showed flashes of promise as a rookie, so he'll definitely get a chance to earn his role back. Even coming off the bench, he could be a good fantasy asset, and that's why his own percentage is already pretty high.
He is worth adding in all deeper leagues immediately - he could become a standard league waiver add if he starts producing right away, so keep close tabs on him. At the very least, he needs to be rostered in deeper leagues for a couple weeks.
Now is the time to buy into McCain, because his value could take off in a hurry.
