Nimmo could be the outfielder on waivers to snag
Brandon Nimmo has quietly been on a roll for the New York Mets. For the season he is batting .278 with 3 home runs, 6 rbi, and 18 runs scored to go along with 3 stolen bases.
Nimmo will not be putting up many RBI for fantasy owners because he is a leadoff hitter, but he has been getting on base quite a bit with an OBP of .430.
The Mets outfield is in need of a spark from Nimmo with Yoenis Cespedes on the disabled list and Jay Bruce massively underperforming.
Fantasy owners should take a chance on Nimmo and see where things go from here. As for me? I decided to bench the speedster Billy Hamilton and plug Nimmo in my lineup to maintain a better batting average and hope that he can bolster my average a bit while also providing stolen bases.
He is currently available in 75% of leagues and is a recommend waiver pickup for deep league help.
