High-strikeout lefty offers enticing mid-rotation upside in Milwaukee
Kyle Harrison slots in as a solid mid-rotation staple for the Brewers, bringing a highly anticipated mix of swing-and-miss stuff and developmental upside to Milwaukee's pitching staff. At just 24 years old, the young southpaw boasts the raw arsenal to dominate opposing lineups, though his major league experience has occasionally been marred by inconsistency and minor injury scares. Now fully settled into the starting rotation, Harrison is primed to take a step forward if he can refine his command and handle a larger workload.
Our models project a productive campaign for Harrison, anticipating 105 strikeouts over 98.1 innings of work, translating to a strong strikeout-to-inning ratio. While his projected 4.12 ERA and 1.32 WHIP suggest there could still be some ratio volatility, his ability to suppress hard contact and rack up strikeouts provides a very safe fantasy floor. Playing for a competitive Brewers squad should also yield plenty of run support, giving him a realistic path to double-digit wins if he can consistently pitch deep into games.
In fantasy drafts, Harrison represents a fantastic target for managers seeking high-upside pitching depth in the middle rounds. He is far from a finished product, but his elite strikeout capability makes him a potential breakout candidate who can outperform his draft-day price. Target him as a number four fantasy starter with the potential to perform like a top-30 option if his control takes a step forward.

Outlook Tyler Mahle
Tyler Mahle Sidelined by Hamstring Injury Amid Tough Stretch
Tyler Mahle is currently sidelined on the 15-day injured list after suffering a strained hamstring in late May. Prior to the injury, Mahle struggled heavily, posting a rough 8.40 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over his last 15 innings. He remains inactive for the fourth-place Giants, who currently sit at 28-41.
His current 6.16 ERA across 11 starts is a major disappointment, but our models suggest better days are ahead. Our season projections forecast Mahle to regress positively toward a 3.81 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 130 innings. If he can replicate his stellar 2.23 ERA from 2025 once healthy, he will be a major asset.
With the Giants continuing their home stand against the Cubs this weekend, Mahle will not see the mound. Given his inactive status and ongoing rehabilitation, there is no immediate fantasy utility here. Keep him stashed in your IL slot. Weekly Verdict: Sit.
