Schneider offers reliable hits and blocks with limited offensive ceiling

Braden Schneider enters his age-25 season as a fixture on the Rangers' blueline after seeing his average ice time climb over 20 minutes last year. He has proven to be extremely durable, playing full 82-game campaigns while establishing himself as a physical defensive stalwart.

Offensively, Schneider's production has plateaued in the 18 to 21 point range with virtually no power-play deployment. Our season projection forecasts another steady peripheral line featuring 18 points (2 goals, 16 assists), 102 shots on goal, 163 hits, and 140 blocked shots across 82 games.

Without meaningful special-teams opportunities, his fantasy value is largely confined to category leagues and deep formats that reward physical metrics. Schneider should be viewed as a late-round target or streaming option when you need a dependable boost in hits and blocked shots.
