10-Team PPR and Two-QB Fantasy Football Mock Draft from 8th Position: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Derrick Henry and More
Morgan conducts his 10th fantasy football draft of the year, selecting eighth in a 10-team PPR and two-QB setup.
Let's do yet another fantasy football mock draft!
This time, I wanted to try a two-QB setup. This 10-team PPR mock will be conducted from the eighth pick. The roster is as follows: two quarterbacks, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one flex, seven bench spots and no defense/special teams or kicker spots.
Let's dive right in!

Round 1 - Amon-Ra St. Brown
Most are expecting St. Brown and the Lions' offense to take a step back in 2025, but I still think ARSB is going to be a top-end fantasy wideout.
I took him over Malik Nabers and Puka Nacua in this mock. St. Brown is a really good wideout to build around, and after missing out on receivers for a couple rounds in my mock draft, I'm opting to grab one right away in this mock.
Round 2 - Derrick Henry
I love getting Henry in round 2, especially if you landed a wideout in the first round.
He was a top-five fantasy running back last year and while he's likely to regress a bit, getting him as RB7 here means I'm not reaching, or expecting another otherworldly performance from him this season.
Round 3 - Kyren Williams
I was thinking I'd maybe take a quarterback here, but Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson had already been selected, so I took a running back instead. Williams is a pick I keep ending up with in mock drafts.
He's going to be a workhorse for the Rams' offense again, so getting him in round 3 feels like a steal. I'm loving the Henry/Williams combo in the backfield, and my top-three picks overall.
Round 4 - Joe Burrow
I had Jayden Daniels as my No. 3 quarterback so far this year, but I'm skipping him and grabbing Burrow instead. I'm starting to worry about Daniels because of the lack of playmakers Washington has around.
On the other hand, Burrow is coming off a monster season and should be able to deliver elite numbers again in that Bengals' offense. He's a much more sure thing than Daniels, and getting him as my top QB in a two-QB setup means I can maybe just take one more quarterback the rest of the way.
Round 5 - Courtland Sutton
I considered Terry McLaurin and DK Metcalf, but I simply like Sutton's fantasy outlook more.
He'll lead the Broncos, and there's no real concern I have, while I have concerns with McLaurin and Metcalf. Sutton is a really good fantasy WR2, and continues what's been a stellar start to this draft for me.
Round 6 - Sam LaPorta
I'm feeling good at every position, so I decided to take a guy at a position I haven't covered yet. I love LaPorta bouncing back this season and being a weekly starter at tight end.
I'm not super high on adding him after getting St. Brown, but I could end up with the Lions' top-two pass catchers, and I'm not as opposed to that as I would be if it were another offense. I'll take another tight end later likely in case LaPorta busts again, but if he bounces back, this team could go from good to great.
Round 7 - Isiah Pacheco
I usually don't get the chance to draft Pacheco, but he fell several spots below his ADP, so I decided to take the gamble this time around.
He's a really good No. 3 fantasy back, and will slot in as a flex starter to start for me. Pacheco has weekly starting upside, and will be a good fill-in for Henry and Williams if they are injured or on their byes. If Pacheco really takes off, I could use him as trade bait, as my top-two backs are not going anywhere.
Round 8 - Jerry Jeudy
I'm ending up with Jeudy in a lot of my mocks all of a sudden, so it's clear I like him best around that ADP.
He's a good fantasy WR3 and sets me up well at that position. Jeudy will lead the Browns' pass catchers, and that's a player I'll take all day over a No. 2 or 3 option on another team, even if my player's team isn't very good.
Round 9 - Jordan Love
There was an absurd run on quarterbacks after my last pick. Nine total guys went, including the seven picks before me. To avoid missing out on more guys, I panicked and took Love here.
I think he's going to bounce back after an injury-riddled 2024 season. He's already banged up, but I don't think it'll affect him much this season.
Round 10 - Tyrone Tracy
If you were wondering, Trevor Lawrence was the pick after my last one, so it ended up being nine straight quarterbacks taken. In round 10, I decided to add another back in Tracy.
He fell 16 or so picks later than his ADP, so even though I don't love him this year, the draft value felt right. Tracy should at least give me an early-season flex option, before he maybe loses the lead role to Cam Skattebo.
Round 11 - Chris Godwin
I'm loving my team so far, so I'm willing to gamble on some guys the rest of the way. Godwin is a gamble for sure, but the value is again too good to pass on.
He's coming off a major injury that could impact him still this season. Tampa Bay is hurting at receiver, and Godwin should factor in heavily after Mike Evans whenever he takes the field. I can stash him for a few weeks and then I maybe have another weekly starting option if he recaptures his pre-injury form.
Round 12 - Emeka Egbuka
With Godwin and Jalen McMillan banged up, Egbuka is likely to factor in early and often. If the rookie plays well, he'll stick on the field even after the receiver room is at full strength.
Egbuka gives me another starting option early in the season and could remain a good starting option all season. I needed more wide receiver depth, and getting Godwin and Egbuka definitely gives me some options.
Round 13 - Colston Loveland
Here's another gamble, this time at tight end with Loveland.
I'm confident in LaPorta bouncing back, but why not take a high-upside backup like Loveland? I think he'll just have a so-so rookie season because of all the pass-catching options in Chicago, but if he excels, I have a trade chip, or could move LaPorta for an even bigger haul. It's a pretty low-risk pick, but could pay off in a big way in the long run.
Round 14 - Austin Ekeler
I needed another running back, and Ekeler might end up leading the Washington backfield, so this was a no-brainer pick.
Brian Robinson seems to be on his way out, and Ekeler was already going to be pretty involved offensively with him around. Now it looks like rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt might lead the backfield, with Ekeler helping out. In a PPR format and given Ekeler likely has a bigger role now, I'm more than happy to make a low-risk pick on him.
Round 15 - Tua Tagovailoa
I've been keeping an eye on the quarterbacks down the stretch of this draft, and finally decided to add a third guy in Tua.
I debated taking Cameron Ward, but with his bye being the same as Burrow's, I took Tua instead. He could end up being a better asset than Love, so this pick makes plenty of sense.
Round 16 - Tre Harris
There were a number of guys I considered in the final round, but I really should add a wideout, so I'm taking a stab on Harris.
He's projected to start for the Chargers, and could carve out a decent role, even if he's the third-best wideout on the team. If he doesn't pan out, I just can drop him.
Final Thoughts
I really liked how this mock draft turned out, especially with my starting group. I was graded as an 85/100 and as the seventh-best team, but I feel that I'll finish higher than that.
Burrow, Love and Tagovailoa are a solid trio in a two-QB setup. Burrow will power my fantasy team, and another big season will boost this team higher than a seventh-place finish.
Henry, Williams and Pacheco are good starting options, while Tracy and Ekeler give me some solid fill-ins, or trade chips. I'm happy with the starting options, but a little wary of my overall depth.
St. Brown, Sutton and Jeudy are a good starting trio, and Godwin, Egbuka and Harris give me some depth options. I feel good about the starters, but an injury could force me to scramble.
LaPorta and Loveland are an intriguing tight end duo. If both take off, I can use one as trade bait for another running back or wideout.
