Deep Slot Depth Behind Amon-Ra St. Brown Caps Fantasy Appeal in Detroit

Greg Dortch joins a potent Detroit passing attack, but he faces a steep uphill climb for weekly relevance. Our depth chart data places Dortch as the backup slot receiver behind superstar Amon-Ra St. Brown. With St. Brown anchoring the slot and tight end Sam LaPorta dominating intermediate targets, Dortch is firmly entrenched in a reserve role.

Our models project Dortch for a minor role, anticipating just 11 receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown. He showed flashes of utility during his time in Arizona, including a 52-catch campaign in 2022, but he simply will not see the field enough in this high-powered offense without an injury to a key teammate ahead of him.

Currently carrying an ADP of 618, Dortch's draft stock has remained stubbornly flat over the last month. In PPR formats, he is practically free, but our projections suggest he is only a deep-league stash. At a mere five percent ownership, he is a low-ceiling option who is currently blocked from seeing meaningful snaps.
