12-Team PPR Fantasy Football Mock Draft from 12th Position: Josh Jacobs, Garrett Wilson and More
Morgan conducts his 11th fantasy football draft of the year, selecting 12th in a 12-team PPR setup.
Let's do another fantasy football mock draft!
This one will be done through the FantasyPros mock draft simulator. We'll draft 12th in a 12-team PPR setup.
The roster will look like this: one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one flex and eight bench spots. Let's dive in!

Round 1 - Malik Nabers
I just wrote yesterday about how I like Nabers falling into the double-digit picks to create some fantasy value, and that's exactly what happened here.
I love building a fantasy wideout room around him and think he could be even better in his second season now that he has a better offense, and most importantly a quarterback, around him.
Round 2 - Josh Jacobs
I'm not waiting on a running back, as my next picks are so far away. Jacobs is a good fantasy RB1 to build around.
He'll be the workhorse for what should be a good Packers' offense, and even if he regresses a bit from last year, I think he has top-10 RB upside.
Round 3 - Garrett Wilson
I don't love Wilson for the coming season, but his draft value at this spot is solid enough for me, so he's my WR2.
He'll be the top wideout for the Jets. I'm not thrilled that Justin Fields will be throwing to him, but on his big workload alone, Wilson should live up to this draft pick, at least.
Round 4 - Alvin Kamara
Again, I don't want to miss out on more running backs, so I'm reaching a bit to get Kamara.
I like Kamara in PPR formats, and think he'll exceed this draft spot if he stays healthy all season. He's a good fantasy RB2, but I'll be grabbing another RB soon to protect myself in case Kamara gets injured.
Round 5 - Xavier Worthy
I'm just swapping wide receiver and running back picks so far. Here, I land Worthy as my fantasy WR3.
I like his outlook, especially with Rashee Rice potentially facing a mid-season suspension. Worthy should be the second-best wideout when Rice is out there, and could end up being the better fantasy wideout even when Rice is playing.
I like the upside of this pick, and the draft value seems right.
Round 6 - Tony Pollard
I decided to take Pollard here in round 6. He's another clear starter for his team, and that makes him a better fantasy RB3.
My running back position is really solid, and I can now start looking at quarterbacks and tight ends instead of having to worry about landing more backs.
Round 7 - Bo Nix
I also wrote yesterday about getting Nix near his ADP if you missed out on the top-end dual-threat options. That's exactly what happened here, and he dropped even more, so the draft value increased.
I think he'll be a weekly starter this coming season, and improve on his rookie numbers. I'll get another QB later, but this pick makes me feel really good about this mock draft.
Round 8 - Mark Andrews
There weren't a ton of great value picks after getting Nix, so I decided to fill my lineup by taking Andrews.
I think Andrews will regress from his 2024 stats, but still be a good weekly starting option. He's a good draft value pick near this round, and he should lock down the position for me.
Round 9 - Stefon Diggs
I contemplated Diggs with my last pick, so I quickly hit draft when I saw him still available in round 9.
He gives me another flex option, and possible weekly starter at wide receiver if he excels with the Patriots. This could turn into a league-winning pick for me, and at the very least, a great draft value.
Round 10 - Jerome Ford
Running backs have been taken fast and furious again, so I reached to get a guy I think is a big-time draft sleeper.
Ford might serve as the lead back all season for the Browns. Quinshon Judkins is still un-signed and there's rumors floating around that he could end up playing college football this season.
I'm willing to take a gamble on the presumed starting back in Cleveland as a result. The reward is worth the gamble and draft reach, in my eyes.
Round 11 - David Njoku
I debated taking Njoku in round 8, and decided to end his slide and get him in round 11.
I have another flex option and insurance at tight end in case Andrews regresses hard or gets hurt. With the available tight ends left, there's a chance I still add another guy too.
Round 12 - Tyler Allgeier
The running backs continue to come off the draft board, and before losing out on all the depth options, I decided to take Allgeier.
He gives me two bench RBs and five backs overall, so now I can probably skip the position from here on out. Allgeier could be a streaming option in the right matchups, and a major fantasy asset if Bijan Robinson ever got hurt.
Round 13 - Jake Ferguson
The draft simulator is going to hate this pick, but the draft value is stellar, so I'm taking Ferguson.
It's a lower-risk pick, with a lot of upside. If he ends up as a top-10 tight end as well, I could trade Andrews or Njoku for another running back or wide receiver as the season moves along.
I promise I'm done taking tight ends now.
Round 14 - Adam Thielen
Thielen is just my fifth wide receiver pick, so it felt like a position of need in round 14.
I think Thielen is still capable of producing decent fantasy numbers, and could end up being a draft steal too. As a low-risk pick, I like this selection a lot.
Round 15 -Jordan Love
I finally landed a second fantasy QB with Love in round 15.
I feel the draft value is stellar here, and if Nix pans out and Love takes off, maybe Love could be packaged with a tight end to go get a better RB or WR.
Round 16 - Joshua Palmer
This is another low-risk pick with some decent upside. Buffalo is looking for a top-end receiver, and while I don't think it'll be Palmer, I think he could have a big enough role to be a worthy fantasy asset.
As a depth option, I'm fine taking Palmer. If he flops, I can just drop him for the hottest waiver wire name.
Final Thoughts
I was graded as an 89/100. My B+ helped me to the third-best draft score, which is surprising since I took three tight ends.
It worries a bit about weeks 9 and 10, as I have three players each on their bye weeks. They are all at different positions, so I think I'm covered for those.
It says I got steals in Diggs, Njoku and Ferguson, while reaching on Ford. I thought the same during the draft, so I'm not super surprised there.
I feel good with Nix and Love, and could just stream if Nix goes down with an injury. If Nix indeed is a top-10 fantasy QB, then I like my chances with this team.
Jacobs, Kamara and Pollard are three good weekly starting running backs, so I feel this is another position of strength. Ford could also be a weekly starter, and valuable trade chip in time. Allgeier is just a dart throw and depth that I'm hoping I wouldn't have to use.
Nabers, Wilson and Worthy are a so-so starting trio at wide receiver, but when you add Diggs to the mix, I think I'm covered most weeks. Thielen and Palmer likely won't get many starts, and if they are worthy of starts, could be trade chips too.
Andrews, Njoku and Ferguson all have top-10 fantasy TE upside, so this is a major position of strength. I think all three of my guys are better than some other team's tight end options, so I'd be willing to move any of my trio before the season. I'd look to improve at wide receiver first, then get more running backs.
Overall, I think this is a great final result for a 12-team league and holding the last pick in round 1.
