We’ve put together a ton of start/sit decision stories during a different looking week 13 of the NFL season.

We just looked at running backs, involving a couple Friday players, and now we’ll tackle a wide receiver decision involving multiple players from today’s game as well.

This article will debate Jakobi Meyers, DeAndre Hopkins, Jauan Jennings, Darnell Mooney, Brian Thomas Jr., Khalil Shakir, Zay Flowers, Michael Pittman, Jerry Jeudy, Deebo Samuel Sr., Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Calvin Ridley.

Season Stats

Meyers has 579 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 53 receptions and 75 targets this season. He’s coming off a season-high 22-point fantasy performance and has scored nine or more points in four straight.

Hopkins has 408 yards and four scores on 37 catches and 48 targets this season. He had 15 fantasy points last week, bouncing back from a five-point outing in week 11. Hopkins had 10 points in week 10 and 29 in week 9.

Jennings is up to 628 yards and four touchdowns on 47 grabs and 65 targets. He scored nine points last week after scoring 25 in week 11 and 16 in week 10.

Mooney, who is dealing with a hamstring injury still, has 711 receiving yards and five scores on 48 receptions and 82 targets. He only scored five fantasy points in his last game, but had between 15-20 the previous three games before that.

Thomas has 689 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 42 catches and 63 targets this season. He had 14 fantasy points in his last game, but just nine total over the two games before that.

Shakir has 599 yards and two scores on 56 grabs and 66 targets this season. He has scored in double figures as a fantasy performer in four straight, and had at least seven targets in each of those contests.

Flowers has accumulated 789 yards and four touchdowns on 57 catches and 87 targets this season. He scored 11 points last week and 12 the week prior. Flowers has only missed scoring in double figures once over the past five weeks.

Pittman now has 508 yards and two touchdowns on 41 receptions and 72 targets this season. He scored 16 fantasy points in his last game, which was the second-most he’s had this season.

Jeudy, who is working through a knee injury, has 645 yards and two scores on 45 catches and 77 targets this season. He’s scored at least 13 fantasy points in four straight contests.

Samuel had 511 receiving yards and one touchdown on 34 receptions and 56 targets. He has only scored nine fantasy points over the past two weeks combined.

Valdes-Scantling has come on of late for the Saints. He has 227 yards and three touchdowns on eight catches and 17 targets for the season. MVS scored 17 fantasy points in his last game and had 26 the week prior.

Ridley, who is dealing with an ankle injury, has 634 yards and three touchdowns on 41 grabs and 80 targets this season. He’s scored at least 10 fantasy points in five straight games.

Week 13 Matchups

Meyers and Hopkins both play on Friday afternoon. Kansas City allows 32 fantasy points per week to opposing fantasy wideouts, while Las Vegas gives up 31.

Jennings, Samuel and Shakir are part of the same game on Sunday night. San Fran only allows 30 points a game, while Buffalo surrenders 29.

Mooney will take on the Chargers, who give up 31 points per week. Thomas faces the Texans, who allow 36 points per week.

Flowers goes up against the Eagles, who only allow 30 points per week. Pittman faces the Patriots, who give up 35 points per contest.

Jeudy plays on Monday night against the Broncos, who surrender just 28 points per week. Valdes-Scantling goes up against the Rams, who give up 33 points a week. Ridley has a test against the Commanders, who allow 32 fantasy points to opposing wideouts.

Projections and Starting Recommendations

In the week 13 projections, Jennings is the top wideout in this group with 15 PPR fantasy points. Shakir, Flowers and Meyers all sit at 14 points.

Ridley and Thomas are both projected for 13 points. Pittman, Mooney, Jeudy and Samuel all sit at 12 points. Hopkins is projected for 11 points, while Valdes-Scantling is at only nine.

A lot of these receivers aren’t ones I’d mind starting in week 13.

I like Shakir the best of the bunch. The matchup isn’t that great, but I trust the Bills’ offense to move the ball, which means Shakir should be heavily involved again.

I’d take a gamble and go with Thomas here, as long as Trevor Lawrence is back on the field for the Jags. The favorable matchup is calling to me, and I think Thomas gets going again this week. If Lawrence is out, I’d drop Thomas a few spots down.

Give me Flowers next. Again, the matchup isn’t the best, but he’s been consistently involved to trust even in a bit tougher matchup.

I’d try Pittman here. I like the matchup, and think Pittman is destined for a big game, especially if Josh Downs is out. If Downs is playing, I’d only knock Pittman a spot or two down.

I like Mooney next, as long as a report doesn’t come out that he’s going to be limited in any fashion. He’s been a pretty big part of the Falcons’ offense this season, and that allows me to trust him in a bit tougher test.

I’d go with Jennings next. I’d consider Jennings earlier if Brock Purdy is out there, but the matchup is still tough enough to make me a bit worried about Jennings regardless.

I’d then take a stab on Meyers. I’d probably have taken him a bit earlier if he still had Gardner Minshew throwing to him. Aidan O'Connell isn’t necessarily a downgrade (or upgrade), but changing quarterbacks all the time isn’t easy on a wideout, and I think it at least slows Meyers a bit this week.

I’d roll with Ridley next. His matchup is average, and he’s been playing well enough to give another start to.

I’d take Hopkins here. I like him to have a nice game on Friday afternoon and deliver at least an average fantasy score.

I got Jeudy next, and again would be fine starting him this week. The matchup isn’t the best, but he’s done enough of late to start once again in week 13.

I’d finally take Samuel here. His upside is far above this spot, but given what he’s done of late and on the season, this is where I’m most comfortable putting him. He’d get a slight boost up if Purdy is active.

That leaves Valdes-Scantling for the final spot. It’s an OK matchup, and he’s been a boom fantasy player of late, so I’m fine starting Valdes-Scantling in a bunch of leagues.

I’d much rather play several of the last wideouts I mentioned in deeper leagues, but there’s enough upside with each of these guys to give standard league starts to.
