Fantasy Football Week 9 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: Jack Campbell, Jordan Poyer, Anfernee Jennings and More

These are the IDP options you should be scooping up off the waiver wire this week.

Linebackers

Mohamoud Diabate, Cleveland Browns

The Browns lost Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on Sunday and it was Diabate who stepped up into his role and played on every defensive snap. He finished the game with nine tackles, a pass defense, and a tackle for loss.

We got good news on JOK's scary neck injury and it doesn't seem to be overly serious. However, that doesn't mean he isn't going to miss any time, it just means this doesn't appear to be career or even season-ending. Diabate looks like the linebacker to start in his absence. Devin Bush should also see a larger role in the defense.

Christian Elliss, New England Patriots

Elliss continues to see his role grow in New England as the team loses pieces, whether it be via trade or injury. He has posted consecutive nine-tackle games and has recorded a sack in two of the past three games.

His snap count was up to 84% in Week 8 and will likely stabilize in that range moving forward. There is even a chance that we see his role increase in the coming weeks.

Jack Campbell, Detroit Lions

With Malcolm Rodriguez out in Week 8, Campbell saw his defensive snap count spike up to 95%. He made the most of his opportunity, leading the team with 11 tackles.

If Rodriguez continues to miss time, Campbell should maintain his increased snap count and his tackling ability should give him a nice floor.

Edgerrin Cooper, Green Bay Packers

With Quay Walker out, it was Eric Wilson who stepped into an every-down role like we predicted last week. However, it was Cooper who stuffed the stat sheet. Not only did he lead the team with nine tackles, but he also sacked the quarterback and defended a pass.

The coaching staff has made it clear they want to get the rookie more snaps all year and his volume should continue to grow along with his production.

Defensive Backs

Demani Richardson, Carolina Panthers

Nick Scott sat out this week for Carolina and Richardson stepped up in a major way. He led the team with 11 tackles and should continue to see this every-down role as long as Scott is unavailable.

The team has placed Scott on injured reserve, so he will miss at least three more games. Xavier Woods is also a great IDP option if he's available, but we've mentioned him in multiple articles, so we want to let you know about Richardson too.

Jordan Poyer, Miami Dolphins

Since returning from injury and the team's bye week, Poyer has now recorded eight tackles in consecutive games and had nine tackles in his last game healthy. When you combine that with his proven playmaking ability, you could be adding a safety with a safe floor and massive upside.

The constant injuries to Jevon Holland should open up some more opportunities for Poyer to make big plays.

Tre'von Moehrig, Las Vegas Raiders

Moehrig has consistently been putting up strong IDP production on a weekly basis. This past week, he posted nine tackles and an interception.

He's been making about six to nine tackles a week, while sprinkling in a big play every now and then. His production has been going very much overlooked this season.

Linemen

Arden Key, Tennessee Titans

Key went off this week, racking up six tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. This is his second consecutive week with a sack and he should be a strong option if he continues his increased production moving forward.

Key has shown flashes in the past, so we know that he's capable of big games. It will be nice if he can put it all together for an extended stretch of games.

Anfernee Jennings, New England Patriots

Jennings is a linebacker who is DE-eligible on many formats. This is one of those players who you can snatch up and use a cheat code player in many leagues. While he doesn't have a particularly high ceiling, he's playing on almost every snap and making a ton of tackles for a lineman. He has 39 tackles in his last six games.

It will be hard to find a better floor at the position on your waiver wire. Like Elliss who we mentioned earlier, Jennings has also benefited from all the players on this defense who have either been shipped out of town or landed on the injury report.
