Summary
Bowers is an elite tight end prospect who can be put up there with the best of them. As a receiver, you constantly hear him compared to George Kittle, and at the point when they were entering the league, Bowers is noticeably better. However, he isn't close to the blocker Kittle is, which could hold him back a bit as a rookie.
That will depend on his landing spot though, because the league could be evolving to get top rookie tight ends more involved in the offense immediately, or last year could have been an aberration due to circumstance and a special class of tight ends. Time will tell on that. Nevertheless, whoever drafts Bowers will be getting a special player. We wouldn't be shocked to see someone trade up to get him and make him a top-10 pick on Night 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Our Take
He is one of the best tight end prospects to enter the league in recent memory. While he is not graded quite as high as Kyle Pitts was, there is a pretty big gap between Bowers and anyone else, including all the great tight ends that came out last season.
There is no reason he shouldn't be wildly productive in the NFL. However, the one thing that could slow him down is if NFL defenders are able to bully him near the line of scrimmage. The toughness and technique are there for Bowers, but he isn't overly strong and that's the only real question there is about him coming into the league.
