2024 NFL Draft: Best Fits and Potential Landing Spots for WRs

We are breaking down the best fits and potential landing spots for the top wide receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State

It doesn't matter where Harrison lands. He fits anywhere. This is the best wideout in this draft, and he's just that good.

Looking at the current draft order, the best-case scenario is probably landing with the Los Angeles Chargers. However, no matter where he lands, he will elevate the offense and can overcome any less-than-ideal circumstance. In the end, his talent will win out regardless of his landing spot.

Malik Nabers, LSU

The Falcons would be an intriguing landing spot for Nabers. They already have one of the best sets of young weapons in the NFL with Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London. If you dropped him into that mix he would be virtually unstoppable.

His ability to create separation and tack on yards after the catch also fits well with Kirk Cousins' skill set and compliments the other weapons well. Ideally, he would fit well with any accurate quarterback though.

Rome Odunze, Washington

We would like to see Odunze surrounded by a strong supporting cast, perhaps as a high-end WR2 to start his career. That's why Chicago is the perfect landing spot for him. Granted, he may get off to a bit of a slower start than the guys drafted ahead of him with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen on the team, but it will ultimately benefit him long-term.

Allen has struggled to stay healthy for years now and is approaching the end of his career. Pairing him with Moore and having a young QB like Caleb Williams growing and building with him would be an ideal situation. The question then becomes: is there any chance that the Bears take a wideout in the first round after bringing in Allen?

Brian Thomas Jr., LSU

Thomas would be a great target for Josh Allen in Buffalo. He's a big athlete with an ability to go up and get the ball even if it isn't the most accurately thrown pass in the world. Due to Allen's accuracy issues and often improving on the fly, this is the exact type of wide receiver he needs to replace Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Odds are that they would trade up if they wanted Thomas. We don't expect him to be on the board at pick 28.

Xavier Legette, South Carolina

Leggette was incredible in 2023, however, he did almost nothing throughout his entire career prior. Because of this, we want to see him in a system that he can thrive in. So we are looking for a veteran quarterback and a proven coach with a great offensive scheme. There is an obvious answer here and it's the Kansas City Chiefs.

With Rashee Rice's immediate future up in the air, Leggette makes a ton of sense for them and they would do wonders for his career as well. There is a chance that he is sitting there at the bottom of the first round for them to grab too.

Xavier Worthy, Texas

The answer to this is simple and it's the Miami Dolphins. Their offense is predicated on timing and speed, and no one fits that mold quite like Worthy, who ran the fastest 40 of all time at the 2024 NFL Combine.

It's possible he will fall to the second round, however, we find it unlikely. With speed and film like he has it feels inevitable that someone will snag him earlier than expected. The Dolphins should probably draft a big man on the line, whether it be on offense or defense. With that said, will they be able to resist a player with this kind of speed? We aren't so sure they can.

Adonai Mitchell, Texas

In order for Mitchell to find success on the next level, he will need to land somewhere with a strong locker room with both leaders and coaches who will hold him accountable. The issue Mitchell has had at Texas is all mental. Physically he has all the tools to be an outstanding NFL wide receiver. Mentally he often times looks lazy or disengaged on film.

He was also the clear WR2 in college, which raises questions about his ability to be the top guy in an offense. Because of all that, we'd like to see him land with the Cincinnati Bengals. They have a winning culture and a quarterback in Joe Burrow who commands respect. With Tee Higgins likely being on the move either during the draft or after the season, Mitchell can slide into Tyler Boyd's old WR3 slot until Higgins is gone and ultimately serve as his replacement.
