Welcome to my weekly FAAB report article for Fantasy Football. Every week I am going to go over my favorite additions at the WR and TE positions in both shallower leagues and deeper leagues and tell you how much FAAB you should be spending and why.

Want to make sure you don't waste your FAAB budget? Sync your fantasy teams with our Fantasy Assistant to access our Predictive Analytics, which predict the average winning FAAB bids for each week's hottest pickups BEFORE waivers are run, with accurate predictions landing each Tuesday!

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Shallow Leagues (10 and 12 Teams)

WR Tank Dell, Houston Texans

Dell was productive early in the season and was a hot pickup in the first few weeks. As of late, he hasn’t been good enough to use in your starting lineups, and in shallower leagues he was even cut. That’s about to change after he saw 11 targets in Week 9 while racking up 114 yards and 2two TDs. If he continues to dominate the target share along with Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz, then Tank is going to be a solid flex play moving forward. Spend 8-12% of your remaining budget to scoop him up this week.

TE Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears

Without Justin Fields, it seemed as though Kmet was going to become nothing more than waiver wire fodder. No one expected the Bears' offense to have any fantasy value while being led by a Division II rookie QB, and yet here we are at the end of Week 9 talking about the Bears' offense. If you read my QB/RB article this week, I even recommend Bagent as a pickup. He has played well and Kmet has played well because of it. He had two TDs in Week 9 after catching 10 passes for 79 yards in Week 8, and he needs to be added once again in all formats for as little as 7% of your remaining budget and as much as 13%.

WR Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

If you drafted Dotson in shallow leagues this season and still had him rostered prior to Week 8, then I commend you. Before his breakout performance in Week 8, he didn’t top 43 yards or five catches in any game. Since Week 8 began, he has 12 catches for 177 yards and two TDs. The Commanders aren’t a good team but they have a QB in Sam Howell who is very aggressive and pushes the ball down the field. Dotson is finally starting to reap the rewards of that. Look to spend 10-14% of your remaining budget on him.

WR Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens

As good as the Ravens have been this season, OBJ really hasn’t contributed much. He has either been hurt or an afterthought in the offense. Entering Week 9 he hadn’t topped 50 yards in a game or scored a TD and he wasn’t worth starting in shallow leagues. In Week 9 though, OBJ had his best game of the season making a season-high five catches for 56 yards, and he found paydirt. Even at 31 years old, OBJ is still incredibly talented, and the further removed he is from the knee injury he suffered in Super Bowl LVI, the more productive he will be. I’m ready to spend 20-25% of my remaining budget on him.

TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Henry had been quiet for many weeks after starting the season strong. In Week 9 he had a big TD and tied for the team lead in targets with seven. The Patriots' offense has been a mess for most of the season, although it looks to be showing signs of life again over the past few weeks. Much of that is due to the fact that Mac Jones is playing better football lately which of course directly impacts the success of Hunter Henry. I prefer Cole Kmet, but I would spend 4-6% of my remaining budget on Henry as a backup bid.

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Deep Leagues (14 and 16 Teams)

WR Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears

He was second on the team in targets in the Week 9 loss to the Saints behind only Cole Kmet and led the team in receiving yards. He is going to have some good weeks and he is also going to have some bad ones which is why he can’t be trusted to be in your starting lineup every week. Still, he has potential and this Bears offense has potential, so in deeper leagues where you have key players on bye weeks, look to grab Mooney for 2-4% of your remaining FAAB.

TE Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Finding productive TEs in deeper leagues can be very difficult, so when a guy starts to show more production he is always worth taking a deeper look at. Otton has become more involved in gameplan lately, he led the Bucs in targets in Week 9 and scored two TDs to go with his six catches for 70 yards. The Bucs throw the football a lot due to a lackluster run game, so you can expect Otton to continue to see plenty of targets alongside WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Spend 6-8% of your remaining budget on Otton this week.

WR Brandon Powell, Minnesota Vikings

This is a bit of a shot in the dark this week. K.J. Osborn left the Week 9 game against the Falcons and didn’t return. He may not be available to play in Week 10 which opens up the door for Powell to see increased snaps and targets until either Osborn or Justin Jefferson return. Powell scored a clutch TD in Week 9, catching the game-winner from Josuha Dobbs with 27 seconds left in the game. If you are desperate for a player this week, Powell can be had for under 5% of your remaining FAAB.

TE Jonnu Smith, Atlanta Falcons

I thought that maybe Jonnu was only a favorite target of Desmond Ridder, yet in Week 9 with Taylor Heinicke, Jonnu had a big day thanks to a massive catch and run for a TD. Heinicke targeted Jonnu a team-high six times, so it appears that no matter who is at QB in Atlanta, Jonnu is going to see the ball. Not only should he be picked up in all deep formats now, but he should be in your starting lineup unless you roster a top TE. Where he is available, spend 9-11% of your remaining FAAB and make sure you get him.
