Week 10 FAAB Fantasy Football Pickups: Cordarrelle Patterson, Justin Fields, Greg Dulcich & More!
It's that time of the week to determine how much of your FAAB budget you should spend on the top available players on the waiver wire entering Week 10 of the fantasy football season.
Quarterbacks
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
If you are lucky enough to still have Fields on your waiver wire, make sure to click the button on him ASAP. The Bears coaches are letting him take more chances downfield, and more importantly, he is running with confidence. FAAB: $180-200
Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
Adding CMC to go along with Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk should ensure that Jimmy G remains a solid choice at QB. I often refer to floors vs ceilings. A high floor means that a player should have a solid expectation of hitting a “guaranteed” fantasy outcome. A ceiling means that a player is not as safe but has excellent upside. Jimmy G is the epitome of a high floor player, which might be more than enough for most fantasy managers right now. FAAB: $40-50
Daniel Jones, New York Giants
By listing Jones here I am supporting the Giants coaching staff more than the player. The coaching staff has done an exceptional job of getting him to limit his mistakes and they have created plays for him to be successful. The Giants next couple of games are very winnable but then they will have some tough ones down the stretch so right now might be the time to ride Jones while he's still hot. FAAB: $30-40
Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers
I am a true believer in Pickett's talent. Moreover, I love his weapons--George Pickens and Dionte Johnson who are two outstanding young receivers. If the coaching staff will just trust Pickett a little more he could be an great fantasy asset the rest of the way. FAAB $30-40
Running Backs
Cordarelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons
I am listing Patterson here as I like to do when I think a player may have been dropped earlier in the season. Arthur Smith has solved the riddle to using him and he is the epitome of the high ceiling player. FAAB: $200-220
Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts
Moss never really got a chance to show what he could do in Buffalo as the team insisted on rotating running backs. Now that he's with Indianapolis I think there's a chance that he could turn out to be the lead running back so long as Jonathan Taylor remains sidelined. Regardless I think the Colts want to see what they have in Moss and whether he should be part of their plans in 2023. FAAB: $10-15
Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia Eagles
I've always been a fan of Gainwell as many of you recall because I believe he has fantastic hands out of the backfield and is a surprisingly solid runner for player of his size. We have seen over the course of the season that players can get injured at any time and if Sanders should go down Gainwell would thrive. FAAB: $100-120
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
There have been more than a few rumors out of Pittsburgh that Warren will get more opportunity now that the bye week is over. He has arguably looked better than Najee Harris when he's been in the game, and I think the Steelers might want to see what they have with him. The Steelers’ season is effectively over so this could happen sooner than later. FAAB: $120-140
Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Williams will be activated in Week 10 and when that happens, there is a good chance that he will become the RB1 for the Rams. He was a dangerous threat back at Notre Dame and I know the Rams really liked him in training camp. FAAB: $100-150
JaMychal Hasty, Jacksonville Jaguars
Keep your eye on Hasty who is now the backup to Travis Etienne in Jacksonville. Hasty has some upside in the passing game and might have stand-alone value should Etienne get injured. He is a terrific blocker which ensures he will be on the field. FAAB: $10-15

Wide Receivers
Donovan Peoples-Jones/David Bell, Cleveland Browns
I am listing both players here because Deshaun Watson will be back in Week 13 and he is a true difference maker. It's been hard to play any of the Browns receivers outside of Amari Cooper because Jacoby Brissett isn't that great a quarterback. FAAB: Peoples-Jones $80-100, Bell $10-15
DeAndre Carter, Los Angeles Chargers
With Mike Williams expected to be out for another couple of weeks and Keenan Allen still dealing with a hamstring injury Carter appears to be the solid number two option for the chargers. While I still like Josh Palmer more Carter should get about 6 to 7 targets per game which keeps him at least around 10-12 fantasy points which is startable in most leagues. FAAB: $40-50
Trent Sherfield, Miami Dolphins
I want every piece of the Miami offense that I can possibly find. Sheffield is the handcuff to both Hill and Waddle and someone who should be rostered in 16-team leagues. FAAB: $10-15
Terrace Marshall, Carolina Panthers
Marshall seems to be coming into his own in his sophomore season. I think there's some untapped potential and if teams are going to double cover DJ Moore, Marshall will continue to have big games. FAAB:$200-220
Samori Toure, Green Bay Packers
It’s hard to endorse anyone on Green Bay right now considering how horribly they're playing but with the injury to Romeo Dobbs it feels like Toure will have a good chance to get some more run in the lineup. We saw Aaron Rodgers take a few shots to him against the Lions; this should continue over the coming weeks. FAAB: $30-40
Tight Ends
Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos
Dulcich has assumed the role of TE1 in Denver and has the resume to back it up. He’s a former WR with good speed and solid hands and he has built a good rapport with Russell Wilson already. FAAB: $100-150
Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders
I feel like I'm thinking back to 2021 by listing Thomas here but at the same time I do feel like he has been underutilized portion of the Commanders offense. There's definitely skill here and if Heinicke starts looking his way the production might follow. FAAB: $30-40
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
Wasn't it just about two months ago when we were all selecting Kmet in like round nine or ten of most fantasy drafts? What we saw from him in the game against Miami could be something that we see for the rest of the season. If Darnell Mooney and chase Claypool are running the deeper routes that should give Kmet room over the middle to roam. He certainly won't have multiple touchdowns every week but I think the chance of him scoring another three or four touchdowns is very possible. FAAB: $30-40
James Mitchell, Detroit Lions
Mitchell didn't get a lot of opportunities in the game against the Packers however if you look at his touchdown reception, he showed that he has some really good hands and could do more if given the opportunity. FAAB: $20-30
Tommy Tremble, Carolina Panthers
See above. Tremble made it terrific touchdown reception off a poor Baker Mayfield pass. Could this be the start of more plays coming his way in garbage time? FAAB: $5-10
