Primary Backup Status Keeps Dynamic Dual-Threat Locked into Handcuff Only Territory

Tyler Huntley returns to his familiar role as the primary backup to starting quarterback Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. Operating behind one of the league's most dynamic signal-callers, Huntley’s fantasy utility remains tethered to Jackson's availability. While he possesses some rushing capability, his standalone value is nonexistent.

Our season projection reflects this limited outlook, putting him at 229 passing yards and two passing touchdowns with minor rushing contributions. Historically, Huntley has shown competency when called upon, completing over 77% of his passes in limited 2025 action. However, without a path to starting snaps, he is not a rosterable asset in standard redraft formats.

Looking at ADP trends, Huntley's draft cost has behaved erratically, plummeting to around pick 800 before settling back near pick 468. This late-round movement confirms that the market correctly views him as nothing more than a deep superflex handcuff. At this current price, he is an avoidable asset unless you are looking to secure Jackson's immediate backup.
