Offseason Roster Slides Reflect Growing Fantasy Uncertainty

Kareem Hunt enters the summer without a listed team, leaving fantasy managers in a difficult holding pattern. Despite coming off back-to-back seasons with heavy usage—including 193 rush attempts in 2025—his lack of team security makes him an incredibly volatile fantasy asset.

While Hunt proved he can still handle a heavy workload when called upon, his efficiency has steadily declined, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry last season. He still offers minor utility in the passing game, catching 21 passes in 2025, but his days as a dynamic playmaker are over.

This decline in confidence is clear in our user trends, where Hunt's rostership has dipped from 62% to 55% over the past month. Until he secures a defined backfield role, he is best treated strictly as a late-round bench stash.
