Aaron Ekblad | Fantasy Outlook
Ekblad anchors top-pairing role as Panthers host Canucks at Amerant Bank Arena
Aaron Ekblad leads the Florida Panthers onto the ice at Amerant Bank Arena tonight to host the Vancouver Canucks. The veteran defenseman recently became the franchise's all-time leader in games played, continuing to log heavy minutes on Florida's top pairing alongside regular penalty-killing duties and secondary power-play deployment. While Ekblad has experienced a modest start with two assists across six games, tonight offers an advantageous spot. Florida (3–2–2) enters as a comfortable home favorite in an elevated scoring environment against a struggling Vancouver squad (2–6–0) that is expected to start Leevi Meriläinen (confirmed) in net.
Our daily projection models anticipate Ekblad providing steady peripheral value tonight, projecting him for ~0.5–1.0 point, ~1–2 shots on goal, and reliable physical work with about a hit and a block for roughly 2.0 fantasy points. In terms of Florida's four-game weekly schedule, tonight is the third contest, leaving just one remaining home matchup against Seattle on Saturday where our projections anticipate about 1.6 points over the full week. With top-pairing minutes and PP2 looks in a favorable matchup, he represents a high-floor blueline option. Today’s action: Stream.
