Week 5 Fantasy Football Projections: 8 Players to Consider, Including Doubs and Love
Weekly projections point to several fantasy football waiver wire options worth considering ahead of Week 5.
Let's continue to look into some more fantasy football waiver wire options for Week 5! We'll check out some weekly projections and let you know which players are projected for big weeks.
We will discuss quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends, so let's get to it!
Weekly fantasy football projections can be found all season on FantasySP! Defensive rankings are also available!
Quarterbacks
Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers
Love is projected for 20 fantasy points in a Week 5 clash with the Bears. He's currently rostered in 72% of fantasy leagues.
Love has had a solid start to his season, throwing two touchdowns in every game so far. He has a pick in three games though, and has failed to top 200 passing yards twice too. Love has added nothing on the ground as well.
The projections still like him this week, and with two teams on byes and several other QBs hurt, Love is definitely an option for all fantasy leagues. I like him best in deeper leagues, but wouldn't hate trying him in standard leagues.

Bo Nix - Denver Broncos
Nix sits at 84% rostered and is set for 18 points against the Chargers in Week 5.
Nix has been so-so through four weeks, with just one game over one touchdown pass. He has three interceptions as well, and has passed for over 200 yards just twice. Nix also hasn't added too much on the ground.
The Chargers have struggled through four weeks, and that props Nix up for Week 5. For the same reasons why Love is an option in all leagues, the same could be said for Nix. I like him better in deeper leagues though.
Running Backs
Emanuel Wilson - Seattle Seahawks
Wilson is projected for 12 PPR fantasy points in Week 5 against the 49ers. He's currently owned in 74% of leagues.
With Jadarian Price hitting the injured list before Week 4, Wilson took advantage and rumbled for 81 yards and a score on 21 rushing attempts - he also had 39 receiving yards and a score across three catches and four targets.
So he's trending up heading into Week 5. Unfortunately, things are still murky, as Zach Charbonnet is nearing a return, and the team has added Joe Mixon to the practice squad and Robert Henry Jr. to the active roster.
I still like Wilson at this point, but we'll need to see who is active before knowing which leagues to start Wilson in. Keep close tabs on things in Seattle's backfield.
Tyler Allgeier - Arizona Cardinals
Allgeier is set for nine PPR points against the Lions this coming week. He's owned in 44% of leagues.
He bounced back with 49 total yards and a score across 10 touches in Week 4. It was Allgeier's first big game since Week 1, and he's still the clear RB2 behind Jeremiyah Love.
Allgeier still has an offensive role though, and that makes him a decent deep-league option, while also being a standard league flex option, especially with bye weeks hitting.
Wide Receivers
Romeo Doubs - New England Patriots
Doubs is projected for 11 PPR points in Week 5 against the Raiders. He's owned in 72% of leagues.
He had his best game in Week 4, catching six of his nine targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns. He's posted 49 or more yards in three straight games, after a goose egg in Week 1.
With A.J. Brown still out and Mack Hollins now banged up, I really like Doubs going into Week 5. He's a really solid deep-league option, and could be considered in standard leagues as well.
Chris Godwin - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Godwin is owned in 72% of leagues and is set for 11 PPR points in Week 5 against the Cowboys.
He has yet to go over 50 receiving yards in a single game, but he had a season-high in catches and targets in Week 4, so he's trending up a bit. Godwin's matchup is a bigger reason behind the big projection for Week 5.
I like Godwin best in deeper leagues, especially with Baker Mayfield out of the picture now. He's a flex-level option in standard leagues, but I'd bet you could find a better option with a little digging.
Tight Ends
Kenyon Sadiq - New York Jets
Sadiq is rostered in 77% of leagues right now, but is falling. He's set for 11 PPR points against the Browns this coming week.
He was shut out for the first time in his young career in Week 4. Really, he's got one good showing, then three below-average outings so far.
Tight end is a tough position to navigate though, so he's still an option going into Week 5, especially with byes hitting. Try to only start him in deeper leagues, but he is at least worth considering in standard leagues.
Dalton Schultz - Houston Texans
Schultz is owned in 79% of leagues and is projected for 10 PPR points against the Titans.
He was limited to nine yards on two catches and targets in Week 4. That was the third time he's been at or under 35 yards already this season, but the other outing was a 12-catch, 140-yard performance across 14 targets in Week 2, so there's high upside in there.
Schultz is another guy I like best in deeper leagues, but he is still worth considering in standard leagues, especially if you are looking for a veteran.
