The fantasy football playoffs start this week!! Even if you're sitting pretty with a bye and a loaded roster, no fantasy football roster is ever truly set at the running back position.

Unfortunately, Week 15's slate of waiver wire running back options is fairly bare … with one potentially massive exception. Without further ado, here are the top pickups.

Check out fantasy football waiver wire targets all season on FantasySP.

Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins (3% Rostered)

De'Von Achane exited the Dolphins' Week 14 contest early with a rib injury. In his absence, Wright exploded. The second-year back racked up 24 carries, averaging over five yards a pop for 107 on the day (and a touchdown). He also saw three targets, although he failed to record a reception.

Meanwhile, Ollie Gordon II, who appeared to have passed Wright to be the RB2 behind Achane earlier in the season, saw just five carries. Wright also played twice as many snaps as Gordon, 32-16. It's clear that if Achane misses time, Wright will be the one to claim the highly valuable role of Mike McDaniel's RB1.

The only reason Wright isn't a stone-cold league-winner is that Achane might not miss any time. He reportedly did not break (or fracture) any ribs and could even have returned to Sunday's game if necessary. Even still, Wright is a must-add in case Achane's health takes a turn for the worse heading into the fantasy playoffs.

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams (34.8% Rostered)

Don't look now, but Corum saw 12 carries to Kyren Williams' 13 in the Rams' win over the Cardinals on Sunday. And, although this game was a blowout, Corum's carries didn't come in garbage time. He was on the field as early as the first drive of the game and remained involved throughout.

Even with his role expanding, Corum doesn't seem likely to take over as LA's RB1. He still played just 21 snaps to Kyren's 35 on Sunday, and ran half as many routes as his backfield counterpart (seven to 14).

But LA's offense is firing on all cylinders right now, so there's room for both backs to be fantasy viable if things continue to trend toward a more even split. Combine that with already being arguably the most valuable handcuff in the league, and Corum is a must-roster.

Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints (60.4% Rostered)

Neal is already 60% rostered, but I simply have to acknowledge how excellent his usage has been with Alvin Kamara sidelined. This week, he saw 19 of the Saints' 25 backfield carries, good for an elite 76% rush share — he was at 70% in Week 13. Neal also easily led New Orleans' backfield with a 71% snap share and a 58% route participation rate, although he saw just one target.

All these touches turned into production, as Neal finished with 14.9 half-PPR points. In Week 13, he provided a less exciting but still useful 8.4 points. Kamara has yet to return to even a limited practice, so I expect at least one more week for Neal as the Saints' bell cow.

Especially given he has a good matchup with the Panthers in Week 15, he should be added (and can be started) in any league where he is available.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Washington Commanders (42% Rostered)

Week 14 wasn't pretty for the Commanders. Jayden Daniels suffered yet another injury, and their offense scored zero points against the Vikings. But, once again, Rodriguez was their clear RB1. He led Washington's backfield in snap share (43%) and carries (10).

At this point, especially if Daniels misses more time, Rodriguez isn't necessarily a must-add in all formats. Despite technically being Washington's RB1, his role isn't exactly ideal. Jacory Croskey-Merritt is still seeing carries, and Jeremy McNichols is the lead pass-catching back. But in deeper formats where any RB with a pulse is rostered, he's worth scooping up if he's still out there.

Bam Knight, Arizona Cardinals (40.6% Rostered)

Knight is very similar to Rodriguez. He is also clearly the RB1 for an NFL team … but that team is a bad one, and his role is far from ideal. On Sunday, he saw an excellent 70% rush share, but it was good for just seven carries, as the Cardinals once again were in garbage time from essentially the opening kickoff.

On the bright side, Knight does have a role in Arizona's absurdly high-volume passing offense. He saw five targets on Sunday, even as fellow RB Michael Carter led the backfield in route rate (46% to 32%).

Meanwhile, it's looking more and more likely that second-year RB Trey Benson won't be activated from IR at all, meaning Knight will remain the Cardinals' RB1 to close out the season. Once again, he's not a smash add, but he's worth considering if you're looking for RB help.
