Week 6 of the NFL regular season opens with a game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

Let's go over each team's top fantasy options on offense, starting with the Eagles. Check back later for the writeup on the Giants.

Having trouble deciding who to start in week 6? Let the FantasySP start/sit tool help you make a decision.

Jalen Hurts Fantasy Outlook

Hurts has been one of the top fantasy quarterbacks again this season, but it hasn't been from stellar passing. His running, and the tush push, have really bumped up an otherwise average fantasy performance from the Eagles' QB.

He has 889 passing yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions on 66.9% passing through five games. Hurts has all of his touchdowns over the past three games, but only topped 250 passing yards once in that span - he's only been over 225 yards on two occasions.

Hurts has 182 rushing yards and four scores on the ground across 43 attempts. He has at least 40 rushing yards in three contests, but no rushing scores over the past two weeks.

His dual-threat ability has kept him as a top-end fantasy quarterback, and despite some struggles as a passer, there's no reason not to start him, especially in this average matchup against the Giants.

Our system has Hurts projected for 25 fantasy points in week 6 - that's the most for any QB. I'm not quite that high on him, but he still ranks third among quarterbacks for week 6.

Get him in those lineups and be expecting a top-end fantasy finish. If he's outside the top five, I'd be pretty surprised.

Running Back Fantasy Outlooks

Saquon Barkley is the workhorse back for Philly, but he too has struggled as a fantasy asset so far. He's battling through a knee injury, but doesn't carry a designation going into Thursday's game.

He has 100 touches over the first five games, rushing for 267 yards and three scores on 83 attempts and adding 128 receiving yards and a score on 17 catches and 19 targets.

He had 22-24 touches in weeks 1-3 before just nine last week. On a short week and nursing an injury, it wouldn't surprise me to see him lose some snaps and touches to other backs tonight.

A.J. Dillon has just 11 touches, which is the second most in the Philly backfield. He's rushed 11 times for 58 yards and no scores, while not getting any targets in the passing game.

Will Shipley has five touches over three games played. He's rushed four times for 26 yards and caught one of his three targets for four yards.

Dillon played nine snaps last week, while Shipley was on the field for eight. That split backup role basically takes any fantasy value away from either guy.

It's unfortunate, because a solo No. 2 back might be able to take advantage of a very favorable matchup against the Giants tonight.

Barkley is projected for 22 PPR points in week 6, while Shipley is set for two and Dillon one.

Barkley is the only Philly back worth starting tonight - I just think the backups will cancel each other out and not do too much. Barkley was my No. 7 PPR back for this week - I'm down on him a bit because of his slow start and while he works through the injury, not to mention being on a short week. He still should be starting in all leagues.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlooks

A.J. Brown is the Eagles' top receiver, but he hasn't looked like it so far. He's being outproduced by No. 2 wideout DeVonta Smith and the team's tight end, who we'll cover soon. Jahan Dotson is really the only other Philly receiver worth mentioning.

Brown has played a team-high 287 offensive snaps. He has 194 yards and a score on 19 receptions and 36 targets. Despite his limited production, he has eight or more targets in four straight games, so that's a positive.

Smith has 272 yards and a score on 25 catches and 30 targets so far this season. He's played 277 snaps. Smith has three games with six or more targets, but two games at three or less targets, so there's a little boom-or-bust in his results so far.

Dotson has played 178 snaps, but only has six catches on 10 targets for 94 yards and no scores. He's topped out at three targets, and had 59 yards back in week 1, but just a single catch in three different games since.

The Giants are the third-worst defense when it comes to slowing fantasy wide receivers, so this is a chance for Brown and Smith to shine.

Brown is projected for 14 PPR points as a result, while Smith is at 13 points. Dotson is only set for five PPR points.

I have Brown as the No. 25 PPR receiver for week 6. Smith is at No. 29. The matchup is helping both guys out, but I still am not that confident in either guy, and see them as your final starters at receiver or flex guys (don't start them in the flex spots, save those for players suiting up later in week 6).

Dotson is just a lottery ticket in really deep setups. I'd avoid him, and any other Philly wideouts, at all costs.

Tight End Fantasy Outlooks

Dallas Goedert is the team's tight end, and has been the best fantasy pass catcher for the Eagles. Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson play enough to mention too, but Calcaterra is out with an oblique injury.

Goedert has played 204 snaps over four games, catching 15 of his 22 targets for 133 yards and four touchdowns. He had nine targets in week 5, and has remained a good fantasy asset because of his knack of finding the end zone. That makes him a risky fantasy starter, but at a position where it's hard to find production, you could do a lot worse.

Granson has played 79 snaps, but gotten just two targets, catching both for six yards. He could play more with Calcaterra out, but he still won't be a fantasy asset.

The Giants are tougher on fantasy tight ends, so Goedert's fantasy outlook is a bit down. Goedert is projected for 10 PPR points still, which is tied for the seventh-best mark for week 6.

The tougher test is why Goedert only ranks 13th for me in week 6. I'd still be happy to start him in standard leagues if you didn't love your other options. He's delivered enough to start in some leagues.

Kicker Fantasy Outlook

Jake Elliott still does the kicking for the Eagles.

He is just 5-for-5 on his field goals, while being perfect on 14 extra point tries. Elliott has made three field goals over 50 yards, so he's a pretty reliable fantasy kicker.

The game is only set for 40.5 points, with the Eagles favored by 7.5 points. Philly should score enough to help Elliott to a nice fantasy showing. His fantasy owners will be hoping the Eagles' offense moves the ball, but breaks down before the end zone, which would give Elliott some better scoring chances.

I'd be happy to start him in any fantasy league type. Expect some solid marks from Elliott, who is projected for seven fantasy points.

Defense/Special Teams Fantasy Outlook

The Philly D/ST has been so-so to start the season.

Opponents have 1,691 total yards against them, but are at just 21.8 points per game.

The Philly defense has five takeaways and seven sacks, so the big games haven't been there for the D/ST.

Still, the D/ST is projected for eight points tonight, which is tied for the highest mark of the week. The defense is pretty healthy, and they should keep the Giants' offense in check.

You should be confident in the D/ST in any fantasy setup. Get them in your lineup and be expecting some solid numbers.
